Hey, I have a Samsung and I wanted to ask if it is also possible to connect the fire stick to the Samsung. If so, what kind of adapter do I need because with my alpile ilx-115d we are shown that the Hdmi does not work while driving because of safety
It’s because there is a parking break wire plugged into the back of the in dash, it doesn’t allow video to be used while driving. You have to plug the parking break wire into a ground lead for it to bypass that I believe. They may even sell bypass cables or something, but that parking break wire is your problem!

It doesn’t come with HDMI cables. On the back of your radio it will have a port for you to plug in an HDMI cable. Hopefully I helped.
I have the ilx-507 and the clock time in the top right hand is always at 00:00. I can't adjust the time! Please help

I have the iLX-F903D, HDMI connected but despite using different HDMI input devices i don't get anything on screen. I also don't have an HDMI icon on my head unit ?

Will the fire stick work on the ilx 903? Mi stick dos not work! Chrome cast works!
I have the ilx-f115d and have got the fire stick. Wired the stereo with the alpine quad lock to keep all the extras. For me to watch hdmi I have to have the ignition on position 2. If not I get screen paused. Is there a way to bypass the safety feature. Cheers

Don’t go with hdmi use the usb port like they did with the firestick, I had the same issue with hdmi the cable got in the way seeing how it’s attached to the phone while it’s connected

Any aftermarket radio/head unit with a HDMI port will support a device like this.
Ultimately, it depends on the screen resolution as to whether it will work efficiently.
All the new Alpine models have a 720p HD screen so are perfect.

Hi I was wondering if it would work with Apple TV too. But would Apple TV be practical? The size and the fact that it needs a traditional plug is the drawback. The firestick can just plug into the hdmi USB port. For simple plug n play.
does this also work with an ALPINE 690D? Have a Samsung? Do I only need HDMI to USB-C ?

The iLX-W690D’s screen resolution is not HD because it is an older model so you will get limited compatibility. It will support HDMI, but you would need to check with Alpine directly for full compatibility.

I wonder why it doesn’t have dedicated apps… you pay almost 700 for a radio as doesn’t have any dedicated apps? How about wireless car play? I have an £ 300 android 11 radio which can do more than the alpine… makes me wonder if I should just buy another android radio and add apple car play module instead of other way around

how to you power the fire stick?
Im sure it is plugged into an available usb port. The Firesticks use USB Micro for their charging port.

How good is this ? I mean how long before you start having problems with this I feel that you are good wot you do in this line of work . I know it will be a bit expensive but end if the day "you get wot you pay for " so paying the bit extra is not a problem in that case but my life is like a glass is always half empty when I get my next car I mean , when I get my next car , I definitely will be paying you a visit to make my car the bees knees I know you all a bunch of mad scientist and all of you have great skills and I always watch your videos on this channel just waiting for wot else you come up with. if you say that there will no problem with this for the next 3 to 4 years of having it then it all good keep up with the good work to make there entertainment better. all of you are awesome 🤜🤛

Just bought the halo 11 and all i can say it is a big disaster for me ... and not just for me .. why this category of player need external players to watch youtube or any other things what chinese cheap android players can play without any problem ... how can i turn off the player completly ? why the touch responding so disaster on player ? slow and sometimes a few cm around where i was touching the display ... so 1 thing is good in this player ... the sound ant thats all ... please alpine make a firmware to make this player usable .
