    i get that it's a safety feature but when you're trying to install one of these radios on a car that doesn't have an electrically switched parking brake, it's asinine that you have to buy an accessory for functions that should work out of the box. *ESPECIALLY SETTINGS*

I understand that the by-pass blue/yellow wire connects directly to the blue/yellow on the radio harness. The blue/white wire I have a question on. Since radio harness is connected to the radio replacement & SWC interface should I snip the blue/white wire and connect directly to the bypass blue/white wire (as shown on the video) or should I just tie-in the bypass blue/white wire to the blue/white wire on the radio harness. In other words keep the blue/white bypass, radio harness and radio interface all connected? Hope I didn’t confuse you :-/

    • @armourbl
      @armourbl Год назад

      @@adamlaforce3681 I'd like to know as well. Logic for me is you want to do it right before the radio. Since you have a ground and remote wire (blue/white) inline with the harness they will work regardless of location. And you wire in the yellow/blue, not inline, just into the radio to fool the radio. The relay should start up with the remote wire receiving power and send the ground to the yellow/blue wire. The problem is I don't know if the Maestro RR has any part to play in any of this. Like if the Maestro doesn't sense the yellow/blue wire inline to the radio, what happens? I may try to wire mine with the yellow/blue still inline. At least that way if the relay doesn't work, I'd still be able to use the parking brake to engage the settings menu as a backup operation.

    So looking at my wiring diagram for my Alpine.... it shows a foot brake and a parking brake wire... but both of them are yellow/blue.... do I actually need to tie in that foot brake wire? or can I just do the parking brake and not worry about it? My Alpine is a INE W957HD....

      It can, depending on the brand. Pioneer and Alpine require more than just ground the parking brake; they require either a double or triple pulse negative. All other brands you can simply ground the parking brake and be fine.

I've even stopped and put it in park .. NOTHING..turn the vehicle off waiting a min or 2 still nothing then just random driveing it comes back on amps get full power and everything works as it should any body have these issues 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

  • @Chief351L
    @Chief351L 2 года назад

    There is a fairly legit reason for the bypass and that’s for large vehicles that don’t have a standard parking brake, but use Neutral + Airbrakes and don’t have access for a parking brake wire. Better case to state than all the idiots trying to watch movies illegally…
