Finally got mine to work with this video. I had installed the three wire bypass and it did not work. If I went faster than 5mph, the video shut off with warning. This fix is what worked.
I just installed, it works. The halo does not have footbrake wire so only connect the GND, PARKING BRAKE and REMOTE TURN ON wires to the bypass device.
Awesome video. Just subbed. But 1 question I had is the grounds would connect to factory harness but the blue would not unless you were hooking up an amp right?
For the blue wire on the bypass. Can you connect that to the system remote control, blue wire for an aftermarket amp and do you also need to connect it to the harness?
I know it's an old comment, but I ended up twist pairing the blue turn-on wire from the bypass kit with the head units blue turn on wire and crimped them together with a butt connector on one end. The other end goes to my 4 channel amp which is also paired to another remote wire daisy chaining to my mono amp. I just installed this today and it was working without issues as far as I can tell. Radio: Pioneer DMH 1500nex Amp: infinity reference 3004a & reference 6001a Hope this helps
Hey guys. Just to confirm, the blue and blue/white wires need to be also spliced in to the Metra harness blue wire? The instructions provided with the bypass make no mention of that and only states to connect the three wires to the three wires on the pioneer harness. However I have now seen your video and a couple of others and you all connect those two to the third blue wire.
Yes, thats correct. Since it requires ground, you will need to splice into the ground wire. Same goes for the blue wire, this will need to be spliced into the blue / white wire of the radio in addition to the other wires needed to be connected by the adapter car harness.
Do you have to hook the BLUE/WHITE to the vehicle harness for power? I have a DMH-160BT PIONEER and I don't have the Blue from main power hooked up at all . I don't have an Amp, or power antenna to need any hook up.
the radio harness blue white wire is an amp trigger. If you don't have any other source that needs it (factory amp, aftermarket amp, etc), then it can simply be connected to this bypass only.
@Provo Beast Audio Installation I installed exactly as you did but different off/on/off switch. I don't get the parking brake warning, it goes directly to the legal warning about watching videos from the drivers seat!! I can mirror link my phone, the radio recognizes the phone because I can sweep between pages on the radio screen but no video!!
OK. The Light Green wire on the Pioneer unit also has a Yellow wire connecting with it to the Light Green wire of the vehicle wire. Do I connect the Microbypass Green Wire to the Light Green wire of the Pioneer Unit only like in the instructions and keep the Yellow wire as is or also disconnect the Yellow wire as well?
I have two questions if you don't mind. The black wire on the radio harness should go to the vehicle black harness and not to the chassis, right? Second, I used a relay and im getting a popping sound in my speaker when I switch off the ignition. Any ideas? Should I put the ground wire from the new radio harness to the ground wire on the stock harness?

I have a pioneer dmh1500 nex HU. I’m installing it in a Honda Accord, so I needed to get the idatalink harness too. How do I incorporate the bypass in the install?
Just don't use the parking brake wire produced by the idatalink maestro, and instead connect the radio's parking brake to your bypass. Black to ground, and blue / white to your radio's blue white wire.
in some circumstances yes. Units with an onboard GPS antenna occasionally negate the bypass as the unit can still detect you are moving via GPS antenna. I haven't tested the newest gen Pioneer units that are manufactured through the Dual facility. Give it a shot and let us know if it works!
Hello! I have a Pioneer PVH-4638zt for my Toyota Fortuner 2015 model! Where can I buy this 3 wire bypass unit!? And How can I connect to watch while in motion! Please Help me!
Does anybody know if this will work on the newer touch screen Pioneer head units or even on a Jensen touch screen head unit I would really appreciate some feedback keep up the awesome videos p
Not working for me. The black and green are connected per this video. However I connected the blue wire directly to the head unit (blue/white) ONLY and not also to the factory harness. My vehicle does not have a power antenna and my amp is has auto turn-on sensing (so no need to connect a remote wire). If connecting the blue as described above is fine, then I an thinking it may be a bad microbypass? P.S. I did purchase on ebay (w/ free shipping) since no longer on amazon.
Sounds like a wiring error. The Pioneer harness blue/white connects to the pulser Blue wire, the Pioneer harness Light Green wire connects to the pulser Brown wire, the Pioneer harness Black connects to pulser Black wire. There are NO connections to the car harness at all other than the common ground Black wire.
Morning Provo Beast ! I'm planning the installation of my AVIC-7200-NEX on my 07 Toyota 4 runner, and you're videos are really helpfull. Thank you so much for posting. I was thinking about buying the microbypass, but on the sonic electronic website, i've seen this module is not required for the recent AVIC Pioneer HeadUnits. => Does it mean I can leave the blue/white "System Remote Control" wire from the Pioneer harness ? => Or should I connect it to the blue/white "Amp turn on" wire from the CRUX adapter (as I do not have a JBL system, I think there is no need to connect them. The blue "Power antenna" wire from the CRUX adapter is probably also useless) => I'll probably have to run the light green "parking break" wire coming from the Pioneer harness all the way to the left of the steering wheel in order to connect it. So much fun :) Thanks a lot for your help
Our friends over at Five Star shows you how it's done: ruclips.net/video/w6Bznj-RmoY/видео.html. The blue / white wire can be tied into the crux harness blue white wire to be safe.
Not for Pioneer, as they require a double or triple pulse negative to operate. Don't believe me? Just ground the wire and see it not operate correctly.

Thats exactly what i was wondering. The guy in the video said the black and the blue/white go back into the harness but that doesnt make sense (unless the ground is supplied thru the harness) i thought the black from the headunit harness gets grounded to the vehicle and the blue/white is for the amp which is normally used outside of the connector meaning it gets wired directly to the sub amp.

Will this work on a dmh 1500nex? If I get this part will that fix this?
