Took me 10 tries. But restored my dead xbone. Had orange light on power brick, so pulled the console apart, cleaned and repasted, becuse OG paste was rock hard. Then did this and was able to reset xbox. now works faster and smoother than new. Thanx a bunch for this super helpful video!!
This worked for me! Getting the second power beep can be tricky but keep trying and change it up. I got mine to work after unplugging/plugging and powering it on for the first time, pressing down on the other 2 as quick as i could
You saved me..I went through 4 or 5 video's before this one and I was losing all hope. Nothing worked. I need to do the hard shut down then reboot exactly how you showed in your video and my xbox is back working. normal again!! An update did this to me!! People have your account information and wifi password ready. You have to sign back in.
When i do this my xbox turns on but the troubleshooting menu never shows up and the screen still says no signal none of the videos that i watch work 😩😭

Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off. 3. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in. 4. Press and hold the BIND button (located on the left side of the console) and the EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the Xbox button on the console. 5. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds. 6. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

Thanks for these videos. Thought I’d comment on what worked for me: I downloaded the update on a USB drive, and it self-installed on my Xbox one once I figured out how to get to the menu. That didn’t work. After about a dozen attempts to get to the menu without the USB installed, I finally got it to work (it seems to me that the power button has to be pushed VERY quickly after the link/eject buttons are pressed). I opted to restore to factory defaults and deleted everything. THAT is worked. So appreciate these videos! I would def I rely recommend trying the factory reset before going through the download, etc. Thanks!!! 🙌🏻

Your video was really informative. Thank you for clearly informing all the steps. My Xbox One X Scorpio edition started just suddenly giving me a blank screen a few days ago. Impossible to know what is happening on the screen, but I did according to the steps and did the keep my games factory reset and also installed the OSU1 from the usb stick. I could hear from the beeps etc that it seemed to install it. Shame though that in the end the picture is still not showing. I have just had the console for like 4-5 months, but it worked perfectly before this week. I can see that hdmi switch box recognizes the signal when I turn on the console, but the picture just does not show... Really saddened by this, I doubt we have any repair options in Finland...
Which update are you using their are two options update osu1 and osu 2 osu 3. If you have tried OSU 3 and 2 and it failed use OSU 1. I am currently working on an xbox that is booting to a blank screen. However, last week it was having the E 101 E 202 E 102 Errors but I corrected that was OSU 1. This week the same console is now not booting into the main menu after the person tried to install GTA 5.

Factory reset while keeping data was not enough for me to fix the Took too long to start on all my apps. A full no data kept factory reset fixed my issue.
How long did the full factory reset take? My Xbox One X has the black screen issue and I have gone according to tips in this video to do both restart options but doesn't seem to help. Black screen is like doing everything blindly so impossible to know if some error comes up etc
hmm, cant get the kids xbox one s to go into trouble shoot mode at all. no matter how many times ive tried. left for KY from ohio to visit family and for a wedding. Came back and well, GREEN SCREEN OF DEATH. tried for 30 minutes to get the troubleshoot screen to pop up but not a lick of luck. xbox logo comes on normally, then its almost like it goes "out of focus" and gets kinda fuzzy or blurry or goes off into some strange res. Thank you! I have (what is now) a very old console, an Xbox one (standard) that would restart and show the green Xbox animation is always does upon restarting. It would go black immediately after meaning that I could not access my settings via Xbox interface. It was definitely tricky to get the timing just right but once I did hear that second “beep” it brought me to the troubleshoot screen. After a factory reset, and logging back into my Microsoft account, I am back to grinding rocket league thanks man!
@@PeebzAviation fully turn your Xbox off, hold down the power button for 7-10 seconds until it turns off. you can test that you are doing right by turning it back on after, if it loads up with the green Xbox animation then you did it correctly. If you tested it, turn the Xbox off the same way again. Wait a few seconds before hold the pairing button down at the same time. Once you are holding the both buttons down, press the power button and hold that as well until you hear the second “beep”. Try this a few times until you get it.
No idea but this doesnt work on my s. Tried multiple times. All this happened before hand but doesnt work for me none the less. Apps kept freezing and parts of games wouldnt load, then i continued a game I was literally just in 2 minutes prior and it told me my saved game data was made by another user and then that it didnt exist.. wouldnt load friends lists pics in the home screen, wouldnt load the settings in the dashboard when selected. Tried factory reset and it froze in the initial setup process multiple times. First time told me my wifi pass was wrong..input it multiple times correctly..it froze shortly after.. the other times were basic freezes in the initial setup. Then chucked me code after code, 105's 106's Now it doesnt even load this troubleshoot menu..lol thankfully your vids describe hard drive replacements immaculately. 👍ssd's are priced low right now. Just wanted to let you know to see if you've experienced this issue or not.

Hi I've had to do a offline upgrade/update twice in 1 day dye to games freezing then the xbox seems to struggle to stay on after a hard rest could that be due to a faulty power brick or something else
Mines fully fucked. I have tried everything and still nothing. Xbox support chat basically said buy a new xbox or send it in for them to repair it for £150. I brought a xbox one x for £350 instead
It's the same way but as I found out last night it's so much harder to try and hold down the eject, home and power buttons all at the same time as they are physical buttons and they're in different positions. I ended up pulling my console out from under the desk to do it - I felt like a bit of a contortionist trying to get all three buttons in the different areas to stay down (why on earth couldn't microsoft just put this option in a menu somewhere - like on windows you can access sysconfig to change how the thing boots!)

How do I know the osu is up to code? Mine always stops at applying update so I think the one im using is wrong but I can find another one than the one on Xbox support site

I need urgent help!! Got a new Xbox One X with that trade-in deal of my old Xbox One at my local Gamestop, and I am beginning to think they sold me one with a faulty disc drive, cause it won't read a SINGLE f'ing disc! I don't mean you get the screen saying your disc is dirty, I mean it won't even pop-up the notification to allow me to install it. I am trying to play the new Madden NFL 19, but I have tried it with NBA2k18 and Madden NFL 18 as well. Same issue. The weird thing is I was able to play a demo of NBA Live 18, which I had a great time with! So if I can play demo games off the hard drive, why can't it read the disc? Is there something I am supposed to do to get it to pop-up and say install the game, or isn't it supposed to do that automatically? I went into apps and games, and it doesn't show ANY games listed! Only demos! I find it weird that it doesn't show my past Xbox One game history from games like Madden NFL 18, NBA2k18, etc. Isn't that strange? Shouldn't it show that if it's tied to my gamer tag? Please for the love of god someone help me!! LOL! Sorry, but I am really frustrated!!
mancode20 I feel your pain. Paid $500 for my 1TB One X 10 months ago. Most of my games are digital so I never use the disc drive. I recently bought Red Dead 2 ultimate edition on disc and suddenly I can’t put a disc in the Xbox....it won’t suck the game disc in. So mad. If your Xbox is still under warranty, send it in or get a replacement- because there is NO permanent fix for this. The disc drives are the weakest point of the Xbox ones. I’ll be sending mine in to Microsoft this week. I recommend doing the same bro

There is a much easier way to do this. You don't need to press the eject. Just tap the on button then quickly press the sync button

Once you are holding the both buttons down, press the power button and hold that as well until you hear the second “beep”. Try this a few times until you get it.

No idea but this doesnt work on my s. Tried multiple times. All this happened before hand but doesnt work for me none the less. Apps kept freezing and parts of games wouldnt load, then i continued a game I was literally just in 2 minutes prior and it told me my saved game data was made by another user and then that it didnt exist.. wouldnt load friends lists pics in the home screen, wouldnt load the settings in the dashboard when selected. Tried factory reset and it froze in the initial setup process multiple times. First time told me my wifi pass was wrong..input it multiple times correctly..it froze shortly after.. the other times were basic freezes in the initial setup. Then chucked me code after code, 105's 106's Now it doesnt even load this troubleshoot menu..lol thankfully your vids describe hard drive replacements immaculately. 👍ssd's are priced low right now. Just wanted to let you know to see if you've experienced this issue or not.
Mine goes to the preparing console thing and then stays at fifty percent and then keeps going back to troubleshoot
It does that to me too it's annoying and I dont know what to do I'm scared

Im not getting the second beep either sometimes not even the first beep. Im not able to get to the troubleshoot menu. I've tried all the other methods multiple times as well with no luck of getting menu to come up. Occasionally it will say hello on a black screen after the green screen.

It's the same way but as I found out last night it's so much harder to try and hold down the eject, home and power buttons all at the same time as they are physical buttons and they're in different positions. I ended up pulling my console out from under the desk to do it - I felt like a bit of a contortionist trying to get all three buttons in the different areas to stay down (why on earth couldn't microsoft just put this option in a menu somewhere - like on windows you can access sysconfig to change how the thing boots!)

I need urgent help!! Got a new Xbox One X with that trade-in deal of my old Xbox One at my local Gamestop, and I am beginning to think they sold me one with a faulty disc drive, cause it won't read a SINGLE f'ing disc! I don't mean you get the screen saying your disc is dirty, I mean it won't even pop-up the notification to allow me to install it. I am trying to play the new Madden NFL 19, but I have tried it with NBA2k18 and Madden NFL 18 as well. Same issue. The weird thing is I was able to play a demo of NBA Live 18, which I had a great time with! So if I can play demo games off the hard drive, why can't it read the disc? Is there something I am supposed to do to get it to pop-up and say install the game, or isn't it supposed to do that automatically? I went into apps and games, and it doesn't show ANY games listed! Only demos! I find it weird that it doesn't show my past Xbox One game history from games like Madden NFL 18, NBA2k18, etc. Isn't that strange? Shouldn't it show that if it's tied to my gamer tag? Please for the love of god someone help me!! LOL! Sorry, but I am really frustrated!!
mancode20 I feel your pain. Paid $500 for my 1TB One X 10 months ago. Most of my games are digital so I never use the disc drive. I recently bought Red Dead 2 ultimate edition on disc and suddenly I can’t put a disc in the Xbox....it won’t suck the game disc in. So mad. If your Xbox is still under warranty, send it in or get a replacement- because there is NO permanent fix for this. The disc drives are the weakest point of the Xbox ones. I’ll be sending mine in to Microsoft this week. I recommend doing the same bro

Yes, you can remove and re-add accounts at any time. Resetting removes all accounts in one shot but you'll be able to re-add them later.
