As a non-Muslim who has at times hated Islam for its numerous videoed beheadings, burnings of people alive, and mass executions reminiscent of Nazi Germany, I found this talk very uplifting. I consider myself an atheist, although I am drawn to and emotionally moved by religious movies, which makes me wonder if I am moving away from atheism towards an acceptance of God. I have always thought until now that if I did become a believer, I would become a Christian, as I find Christianity's message of love and forgiveness appealing. After this talk however, I am now thinking what would before have been unthinkable, that it would even be possible for me to become a Shia Muslim. You have no idea how incredible that is. You would have considered me to be an Islamophobe before I heard this talk. Seeing a different side to Islam gives me hope for the future of humanity. To quote from the Bible: "You will know them by their fruits".
Burn? What country are you from? People are bad because they are bad. It is how media decives us to believe certain things. I am agnostic and I assume you are too. Atheism means that you state that there is no god, while agnostic people just understand that we aren't smart enough to understand what's right and what's wrong. Einstein was an agnostic for example, so is Neil and many other great scientists from the later centuries. I assume you are white because of your name and lack of understanding of a concept such as supremacy. Have you heard about the witch hunt trials? They were christians. What about school shootings in America that are usually caused by white teenagers? These things are not discussed because the media is triggering certain audiences to believe certain things. Maybe Hitler is dead, but his ideas are not. I believe he was just brave and crazy enough to express his hate openly. He was addicted to multiple drugs, and he stated what the world has been saying for the last 500 years. That there is an evolutionary stance behind supremacy. Weather you like it or not. Most people subconsciously believe in that because of media.
You should also look into Shiite belief in Imam mahdi's re-emergence and how he will lead a global Islamic army to victory against evil, so he can spread Islam and "peace" worldwide. Most takes on religion have their own form of ideological extremism, and religious belief in the divine inherently results in dogmatic worldviews. Everyone will try to coax you with the beauty of their religion, but obviously a believer will be extremely biased. Muslims in particular are VERY enthusiastic about coaxing naive outsiders into the religion, so be careful with the information you consume
@Ken I may not know enough English terms to engage in long, deep conversations about religion, but the fact that Usoolul Deen (The five main beliefs) in Shia Islam must be based on evidences and proofs and not through indoctrination, and also a Shia Muslim being required to be a good example as a person, all that should tell you that we Shia have no interest in having naive people convert to our religion. Any conversion caused merely by listening to some people cannot be stable because one can change his/her mind after listening to some other people. And why do you find it strange that humanity will live in peace after evil is destroyed?

Yeah feels strange that time period you’re right it’s quite mysterious. I think both make good points though, and strangely enough My family is both Shia and Sunni
Brother, 2 things. First, Fatima SA is the daughter of our prophet PBUH, whether he had other daughters is beside the point for now. Why was she not given that which her father had left her ie Fidaq? The state did not give it to her, who was the state at that time? You must agree then the state went against the wishes of the last prophet PBUH. Secondly, the Sunni belief which is pedalled from generation to generation paint the prophet PBUH as an illiterate. Ask yourself, are you illiterate, is your kid brother or sister illiterate, is anyone you know illiterate? Are we honestly to believe the prophet who brought us Islam was illiterate? Yet the hundreds of scholars who study this prophets teachings and sayings are pious!? Forget what you think you know and read these points and think about them from a logical perspective.
If you're on the side of Imam Ali brother then you'd embrace all the sahaba - warts and all because they were all fallible yet integral to Islam. You do know Shias accept that Ali named his sons Abu Bakr and Omar which is kinda strange if they were his enemies?

@mohamed12 mohamed12 sorry I can’t see where exactly your comment is so I can’t reply to it. However I received a notification by email of your reply and so I am going to place my reply here in the hope you will find it. this is kind of embarrassing and very weird but I will tell you anyway. Basically, since childhood I’ve always been sexually attracted to girls bare feet, and in my teenage years I developed a very strong fetish for being spat on by beautiful girls. These fetishes have remained with me and have never changed, I’m not attracted to any of the women’s body parts that men are normally attracted to such as breasts, buttocks or private parts. Unlike other Arabs in my community, my preference is not English white girls but girls of Arab and Southeast Asian origin. This preference developed shortly before I completed my GCSE exams at high school and I think it was cemented at college when I met many Arab, Pakistani and Bangladeshi Muslim girls. Ever since then, I’ve been wishing to marry one of them and the idea of being kicked, trampled and spat upon by them arouses me so much. However, my favourite girls by far are the Twelver Shias of Iraqi origin. I met these girls long before I converted from Sunni to Shia and I found them to have the most amazing personalities, moral compass and caring and loving nature. Also, they were the only Muslim girls I knew who took their prayers seriously and would never miss a prayer. I was overwhelmingly and instantly attracted to all of them and it wasn’t based on their looks at all. Whilst I did not know it then, after my conversion to Twelver Shia Islam many years later I realise that Twelver Shia Islam was definitely the main factor in making them the amazing people they were. Ever since my conversion, I’ve been asking Allah the most merciful to grant me a beautiful, young and extremely religious and loving Twelver Shia wife who Will literally walk all over me with her bare feet and make me sleep under them as well as always spitting in my face with large amounts of saliva. Amina seems to be quite a popular name amongst Twelver Shia women so I chose it to be part of my username. My username basically indicates where I want to be and what I want to be doing, Hopefully in this world and for eternity in the hereafter in paradise Ameen. Also as you may have seen from my previous comments, I am concealing my conversion from my family. I have heard male family members talking about how they could marry a Christian or Jewish woman but how they could never bring themselves to marry a Twelver Shia woman. When I heard this I started praying to Allah to hasten in granting me marriage to a very religious Twelver Shia woman Who will always wipe her bare feet on me and always spit on me. When they saw me supplicating, they asked me what I was praying for and of course I could not tell them the truth. I told them that I was supplicating for a religious and good mannered wife, which is true although I left out the rest of the details. I kind of got a thrill out of the fact that they had no idea what I was actually praying for and if they did I think I would be kicked out of the family. However, what seriously hurts me is the fact that my family and much of my community hate and mistrust Shias to the extent that they would never listen to a Shia response to their concerns and reservations. They have this weird misconception that Shias compulsively lie about everything and so they can’t trust anything they say. Also they seem to be paranoid that listening to Twelver Shia lectures is like being hypnotised by the devil. They want us not to listen to them because they will “drag you in“. In reality, it’s just that Twelver Shia Islam is the only and complete truth and the heart is naturally attracted to it.
Am layman not even a Muslim ,but Jordan Peterson if he really wants to understand the " fraction" of what happened,he should do himself justice and hear the SHIA perspective, point of view, call it you want ,but from both sides .before making an educated decision..just my 2cent.
Jordan peterson shouldn't be blamed for asking questions about the fact that the prophet of islam (saw) was a warlord. There are solid justifications for this objection that he needs to hear, but the claim is not wrong.
'And We have not sent you but a mercy to mankind...', so no the warlord narrative is categorically wrong, as dictated by scripture, and confirmed by history, non-Muslim history in fact. As fighting wars does not make one a warlord..
With all due respect, there is no doubt the Prophet engaged in battles during his own lifetime but unfortunately the term “warlord” carries connotations of a desire to fight, and especially a desire to invade innocent peoples for their land, both allegations which we categorically reject We Shia say that the Prophet enjoyed nothing more than peaceful coexistence among mankind, but when he had no choice except to fight in self-defense (e.g. assassination attempts carried out on his people, his messengers being killed when sent to other courts etc.), he only participated until those threats were neutralized, and he never once attacked their civilian populations This stands in stark contrast to the Sunni Caliphate spawned after his death, who saw no qualms in stealing other neighboring lands and terrorizing civilians willy-nilly
The trouble is that, the narrative itself can only be peddled by someone with no background in Islamic history. If you look at the specific wars, what you find is they were a result of failed peace treaties by the other side, or in defence of a certain attack. Islam was unsettling for the established religious communities, it came up very fast and many wanted to put an end to it, or to stunt its growth. My view(the Shia view) was that Islam was spread by the sword after his death, by figures that had position but no religious credibility.
This ashura i heard one of the Shia speaker talking about how many people were killed in Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) times in all the wars and battles he faught in his life time. Total wars and battles during Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) are 74 from credible sources. Now one gets amazed to know how lesser number of people have been killed in all those Wars during Prophet time. Academically they have added all the credible sources and number of people are just 400. If non credible or week sources are added the number still don't exceed 1400. So minimum 400 and maximum 1400 people are killed during Prophet time in all the wars (74) faught during his time. This number is so less. So one wonders what was the driving force for the spread of Islam during Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) time when he was himself the leader. I can tell you this was clearly his "Ikhlaq" and kind behaviour with people around him. After his passing away, we know the events of "Saqifa" and self proclaimed caliphate by Bakar and Umer, the struggle was replaced with sword. So it really gets difficult to defend the mainstream sunni Islam that spread through sword. Non muslims have to study the alternate version to find the truth about religion that was so exceptional during Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) times but suddenly after his demise got unexceptional.
@Rezan Sahin It is removed now, what do you now want? A medal? Still leaves the question why hijab refused to answer any questions regarding the bloodshed on the family of the prophet?
What brought me close to the Ahlul Bayt was the way they beseech the Divine. The intensity of Dua Kumayl or the prayers of Imam Zainulabideen A.S. I would advise people to read these two collections to feel how Allah is addressed, how Allah is central to our address, to our need for His guidance, forgiveness, love, strength peace and contentment.

Sunnism is a joke of a religion

@@Incandescence555 LOL what? If you lead a group to engage in global conquest and war to spread your culture around, you are by definition a warlord
With all due respect, there is no doubt the Prophet engaged in battles during his own lifetime but unfortunately the term “warlord” carries connotations of a desire to fight, and especially a desire to invade innocent peoples for their land, both allegations which we categorically reject
We Shia say that the Prophet enjoyed nothing more than peaceful coexistence among mankind, but when he had no choice except to fight in self-defense (e.g. assassination attempts carried out on his people, his messengers being killed when sent to other courts etc.), he only participated until those threats were neutralized, and he never once attacked their civilian populations
This stands in stark contrast to the Sunni Caliphate spawned after his death, who saw no qualms in stealing other neighboring lands and terrorizing civilians willy-nilly

@@dustsputnik1721 In theory great but on practical level we have Ulema of great eminence from both factions of Islam and they were not able to solve it for last so many hundreds of years. The truth is when people go out in pursuit of knowledge they start of with the bias they have acquired from their families. The way I understand this conflict personally that Allah(swt) is not going to ask me for something for which I am not responsible. We as Muslims pray for the Family of Our Beloved family after every Adhan and in every Salah (Durood). As Sunni Muslim, the name of my father is Ali. Please try to make contact with Jordan Peterson and show him the other side of the story!
Hamza Yusuf is not qualified... Sorry to disagree.
Hamza preaches that a doctor prescribe medicine to others while the doctor himself doesn't take that same medicine.
None of these bakries are qualified, Ammar naksawani is the most qualified in my opinion, would give an ass-wooping on many great gaps hijabi boi couldn't speak on.
And this clown 🤡 wanted to debate dr ammar
@Rezan Sahin no, the horsemen clip was uploaded at 22 november?
What is your proof it was recorded on september?
If hijab recorded on 10 november, then that may be hijab and did that to not hurt you guys feelings lol
this is brilliant.
Jordan Peterson thank you for this video .Ask Mohamad Did The Prophet pray with hands folded? The problem started not after the Prophet died but While The Pro was on hisdeathbedUmar refused to give pen and paper to the Pro.Also Umar Abubakar Aiasha and Hafsa poisoned the Pro peace be on him and his family Ameen
Great work brother! I respect Dr. Peterson, but, I do believe he's highly misinformed regarding Islam.
Muhammad Hijab needs to educate himself before entering into these dialogues , he’s embarrassing himself so badly. Perhaps he should read the truth about Islamic History, from our Shia books and sources, he may then be able to hold a conversation long enough. He’s attitude is ‘ I know everything’ and his speech is so uncaptivating…,one loses interest real quick. Oh my .. and so crude..
Actually if you examine the conversation of hijab and jordan Peterson closely you will experience that hijab was confronted by a shia mindset in the body of Jordon Peterson 😂. Hilarious that hijab couldn't say that you are a shia trying to humiliate sahaba through these objection 😂
We love you brother. Keep it up. May Allah always be with you ❤️
The lady of heaven
Is an embarrassment
@@user-qu4oh4xi1s No, that would be the Caliphs and Ayesha
Such undeserving heirs to the Prophet’s prestige and people
Mohammad Hijab ran away from the battlefield 🙄
I've noticed you mention Abu Bakr and Umar as "self proclaimed" khalifas and criticize them. What is your opinion on Usman though? Do you think the first two khalifas were worse than the third?
it fathoms me how they continue to cover the truth even though the truth is just so evident. may Allah swt guide them. may Allah swt hasten the reappearance of the Mahdi ajfs
well stay fathomed.....
you probably dont even know how to read the Quran. go make some orange juice fatemeh
@@user-qu4oh4xi1s I know how to read quran ALHAMDULILAH ! I WAS A SUNNI SAYED AND ALLAH S.W.T GUIDED ME FROM THE PATH OF MISGUIDANCE TO THE PATH OF TRUTH .
Oh its so refreshing to hear the truth about Islamic Caliphates and the Islamic history . It has been romanticized.
