It always blows my mind how I was sunni for so many years, never heard a single narration about Imam Hussain or Sayeda Fathima (sa) but heard countless ahadeeth about how great Umar, Abu Bakr and Khalid bi Walid were. It wasn't until I decided to take a deep dive into Islamic history that the grains of sand were gradually removed from my eyes. The path of Truth isn't easy, it's not for the majority and it often doesn't just land on your lap because you're lucky Allah (swt) chose you over others or any other such silly idea I was taught. I doubted that how come soo many people ( companions) were sinless or pure or in the 100% correct path as some say . I doubted that . I was born as a Christian in a family that were never practicers of the religion but I always remember since I was a kid that I used to use logic in any matter and to fight for justice no matter what I have to loose ! I have always going deeper in any subject and whenever there is a misunderstanding I knew that I have to go deep down to find the reason behind a misunderstanding ! Imam Ali (a.s) had to exercise patients to avoid possible civil war. It led to the killing of the Pophet's grandsons Imam Hasan (a.s) and Imam Hussain (a.s.), what a tragedy.

Very true. Sunni ahaddeths hail the sahaba more that rassolllah. Books were tampered with. Quran ALLAH says those who forbid wrong and enjoin good. Read in Bukhari and muslim, Umar changing the sunnah and stoning people to death and raising his voice over rassoolllah. The quran verse Allah says "Those who abuse the messenger." You can see who abused the messenger. They don't look at what Allah is saying about some sahaba, but they blindly follow these scholars who favour these.

There were far more than just 3 companions that were loyal after prophet Muhammad (saws) martyrdom. Perhaps those 3 were the best, but it is still contradictory to our corpus as there were far more than 3 sahaba that stayed loyal to imam ali (as).

I don't get it. What's so groundbreaking about this? I mean, no one denies there were some companions who deviated from Islam after Rasul ﷺ death - that's why there were the Ridda Wars! I am yet to come across (correct me if I'm wrong) any (knowledgeable) Sunni who claims EVERY SINGLE companion (there were literally hundreds, if not thousands) followed the Quran and Sunnah after Rasul ﷺ death. And neither do Sunnis claim that the companions (including the 4 rightly guided Khalifs, may Allah be pleased with them) were infallible. You quote ahadeeth that show some companions being denied Paradise. Why not be balanced (since you're now accepting 'Sunni' ahadeeth as references) and quote ahadeeth that explicitly, by name, highlight the virtues of Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman (among others) ? Like this Sahih al-Bukhari 3654 or this Sunan al-Tirmidhī 3681 or this Sunan al-Tirmidhī 3791. And since you alluded to some companions being thrown into Hell, why not quote ahadeeth (again, EXPLICITLY) mentioning, by name, the Sahaba that were promised Paradise by Rasul ﷺ? Like this Sunan al-Tirmidhī 3748. If it's cherry-picking you're after, then of course you can distort whatever facts you come across to suit your narrative and beguile your unsuspecting audience. Mind you, some Sunni 'scholars' are also guilty of this as well. This is not some 'shia-exclusive' trait. If we are ever to get to the truth, we must be balanced in all we do. This is espoused even by Rasul ﷺ

The term ahl al-bayt أهل البيت has been misunderstood throughout the century. The term ahl al-bayt أهل البيت does not refer to the household of Ali r.a, but it refers to those who truly understand (أهل) the verses (البيت) of the Quran, basically those who truly understand millat Ibraheem (ملة إبراهيم) and apply it to the Quran. Yes, Ali himself was an ahl al-bayt, but the same cannot be said about his descendants throughout the centuries. Allah knows best.
Sahih Muslim 2404 d Amir b. Sa'd b. Abi Waqqas reported on the authority of his father that Muawiya b. Abi Sufyan appointed Sa'd as the Governor and said: What prevents you from abusing Abu Turab (Hadrat 'Ali), whereupon be said: It is because of three things which I remember Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) having said about him that I would not abuse him and even if I find one of those three things for me, it would be more dear to me than the red camels. I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) say about 'Ali as he left him behind in one of his campaigns (that was Tabuk). 'Ali said to him: Allah's Messenger, you leave me behind along with women and children. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said to him: Aren't you satisfied with being unto me what Aaron was unto Moses but with this exception that there is no prophethood after me. And I (also) heard him say on the Day of Khaibar: I would certainly give this standard to a person who loves Allah and his Messenger, and Allah and his Messenger love him too. He (the narrator) said: We had been anxiously waiting for it, when he (the Holy Prophet) said: Call 'Ali. He was called and his eyes were inflamed. He applied saliva to his eyes and handed over the standard to him, and Allah gave him victory. (The third occasion is this) when the (following) verse was revealed: "Let us summon our children and your children." Moses a.s left Aaron a.s as leader of the flock before leaving for the mountain for thirty days. He left him as a khalifa. Read the quran, the word " khallafni" is there, meaning " my khalifa". Just for thirty days ( later forty) and he leaves behind a khalifa. And yes Aaron a.s did die before Moses a.s. Finally before his death Moses a.s left Yosha bin noon a.s as his successor. Never gave any right to his people to appoint anyone. No shura no nothing. Wassalam.

"Right off the bat" when it comes to these hadeeth and narrations you're supposed to approach a sheikh for conformation and what's right and what's wrong as they know best. What credentials do you have if any in both Sunni AND Shia teachings? Fair enough you put links and references in the description, but if you are not looking at both sides of an argument then what you are proposing is clearly biased (as shown from the cherry picked vids at the start of the video). Secondly, why don't you include the words of the prophet pbuh himself? When he mentioned that Umar is destined for Jannah?? If you say you admit the companions who opposed Imam Ali عليه السلام were wrong, I believe you. What you need to understand is that the Shia criticizing your beliefs doesn’t mean they are against you as individuals. You also shouldn’t deny that you have many extremists in your sect and they are the loudest among you, even if they are not the majority. It’s on you to prove that we hold the Ahlul Bayt (peace be upon them) above their ranks, we have commentaries by our scholars that make the narrations clear and leave no such doubts.

I just wonder why you find it necessary to belittle the companions of the prophet? I’m born and raised a Shia. This isn’t coming from any other sect. Is it really necessary? Where is going to get anyone. All it does is create divisions and makes the prophet PBUH look bad. Isn’t one of the sayings of Imam Ali, “If you want to know who a person is, ask who his friends are?” Like you don’t see the Sunni sects cursing the prophets family? I was sunni and now Shia alhamdulillah and I have a simple question for you, who instituted the cursing of Imam Ali, Muawiyah yes? Was he sunni or Shia? Is Imam Ali Ahlulbayt or not? I believe the answers to those two questions alone disprove your statement. Also as a former sunni I found this tremendously beneficial because my whole life these very same sahaba were basically turned into demi-gods in the sunni religion. They are allowed to make mistakes, kill believers, change Islamic rulings and yet you cannot even utter a word of truth about any of their wrongs. I think you suffer from an inferiority complex due to the overwhelming screams from Ahlul Sunnah - Like I said before, the tuth is not for everyone but that doesn't mean we should hide it.
Also just to add: Why do you make it seem as though Shias are saying these things? All of this is in the books of Ahlu Sunnah brother...So he's literally quoting their own books, what then is the issue?

If you were fair you should have also quoted the narrations praising many of the major Sahaba from the same Sahih al Bukhari you had in your hands. Indeed, the Shia denounced the very people who received the Qur'an initially and thus put doubts into their authentic transmission and preservation of the Qur'an. No wonder Shia books like al Kafi of al Kulayni have lies that the Qur'an has been tampered with. What utter nonsense and kufr. The early Shia could not even agree how many Imams there are let alone if the 11th Imam had a son that you claim is the hidden Imam. There are plenty of responses to your aqida and distortions in Arabic and English.
It always blows my mind how I was sunni for so many years, never heard a single narration about Imam Hussain or Sayeda Fathima (sa) but heard countless ahadeeth about how great Umar, Abu Bakr and Khalid bi Walid were. It wasn't until I decided to take a deep dive into Islamic history that the grains of sand were gradually removed from my eyes. The path of Truth isn't easy, it's not for the majority and it often doesn't just land on your lap because you're lucky Allah (swt) chose you over others or any other such silly idea I was taught. But from the beginning . I doubted that how come soo many people ( companions) were sinless or pure or in the 100% correct path as some say . I doubted that . There were may com[anios who were forced to pay allegiance to abubakr. Maybe he was one of them who were forced but he later came back like may others.
There were far more than just 3 companions that were loyal after prophet Muhammad (saws) martyrdom. Perhaps those 3 were the best, but it is still contradictory to our corpus as there were far more than 3 sahaba that stayed loyal to imam ali (as).

I am yet to come across (correct me if I'm wrong) any (knowledgeable) Sunni who claims EVERY SINGLE companion (there were literally hundreds, if not thousands) followed the Quran and Sunnah after Rasul ﷺ death. And neither do Sunnis claim that the companions (including the 4 rightly guided Khalifs, may Allah be pleased with them) were infallible.
You quote ahadeeth that show some companions being denied Paradise. Why not be balanced (since you're now accepting 'Sunni' ahadeeth as references) and quote ahadeeth that explicitly, by name, highlight the virtues of Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman (among others) ? Like this Sahih al-Bukhari 3654 or this Sunan al-Tirmidhī 3681 or this Sunan al-Tirmidhī 3791. And since you alluded to some companions being thrown into Hell, why not quote ahadeeth (again, EXPLICITLY) mentioning, by name, the Sahaba that were promised Paradise by Rasul ﷺ? Like this Sunan al-Tirmidhī 3748.
If it's cherry-picking you're after, then of course you can distort whatever facts you come across to suit your narrative and beguile your unsuspecting audience. Mind you, some Sunni 'scholars' are also guilty of this as well. This is not some 'shia-exclusive' trait. If we are ever to get to the truth, we must be balanced in all we do. This is espoused even by Rasul ﷺ

The term ahl al-bayt أهل البيت has been misunderstood throughout the century. The term ahl al-bayt أهل البيت does not refer to the household of Ali r.a, but it refers to those who truly understand (أهل) the verses (البيت) of the Quran, basically those who truly understand millat Ibraheem (ملة إبراهيم) and apply it to the Quran.
Yes, Ali himself was an ahl al-bayt, but the same cannot be said about his descendants throughout the centuries.

I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) say about 'Ali as he left him behind in one of his campaigns (that was Tabuk). 'Ali said to him: Allah's Messenger, you leave me behind along with women and children. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said to him: Aren't you satisfied with being unto me what Aaron was unto Moses but with this exception that there is no prophethood after me. And I (also) heard him say on the Day of Khaibar: I would certainly give this standard to a person who loves Allah and his Messenger, and Allah and his Messenger love him too. He (the narrator) said: We had been anxiously waiting for it, when he (the Holy Prophet) said: Call 'Ali. He was called and his eyes were inflamed. He applied saliva to his eyes and handed over the standard to him, and Allah gave him victory. (The third occasion is this) when the (following) verse was revealed: "Let us summon our children and your children." Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) called 'Ali, Fatima, Hasan and Husain and said: O Allah, they are my family.

How was Aaron the successor of Moses if Aaron died before Moses? Joshua was Moses's successor, not Aaron.
Moses a.s left Aaron a.s as leader of the flock before leaving for the mountain for thirty days. He left him as a khalifa. Read the quran, the word " khallafni" is there, meaning " my khalifa". Just for thirty days ( later forty) and he leaves behind a khalifa.
And yes Aaron a.s did die before Moses a.s. Finally before his death Moses a.s left Yosha bin noon a.s as his successor. Never gave any right to his people to appoint anyone. No shura no nothing. Wassalam.

"Right off the bat" when it comes to these hadeeth and narrations you're supposed to approach a sheikh for conformation and what's right and what's wrong as they know best. What credentials do you have if any in both Sunni AND Shia teachings? Fair enough you put links and references in the description, but if you are not looking at both sides of an argument then what you are proposing is clearly biased (as shown from the cherry picked vids at the start of the video). Secondly, why don't you include the words of the prophet pbuh himself? When he mentioned that Umar is destined for Jannah?? Who are you to be believed over the words of the prophet Muhammad pbuh? the most perfect man to have ever lived from the words of Allah himself. If you say you admit the companions who opposed Imam Ali عليه السلام were wrong, I believe you. What you need to understand is that the Shia criticizing your beliefs doesn’t mean they are against you as individuals. You also shouldn’t deny that you have many extremists in your sect and they are the loudest among you, even if they are not the majority. It’s on you to prove that we hold the Ahlul Bayt (peace be upon them) above their ranks, we have commentaries by our scholars that make the narrations clear and leave no such doubts.

I just wonder why you find it necessary to belittle the companions of the prophet? I’m born and raised a Shia. This isn’t coming from any other sect. Is it really necessary? Where is going to get anyone. All it does is create divisions and makes the prophet PBUH look bad. Isn’t one of the sayings of Imam Ali, “If you want to know who a person is, ask who his friends are?” Like you don’t see the Sunni sects cursing the prophets family? Show me one example of that happening. Instead it’s the Shia that make Demi-gods out of the Ahulbait.

I was sunni and now Shia alhamdulillah and I have a simple question for you, who instituted the cursing of Imam Ali, Muawiyah yes? Was he sunni or Shia? Is Imam Ali Ahlulbayt or not? They are allowed to make mistakes, kill believers, change Islamic rulings and yet you cannot even utter a word of truth about any of their wrongs. I think you suffer from an inferiority complex due to the overwhelming screams from Ahlul Sunnah - Like I said before, the tuth is not for everyone but that doesn't mean we should hide it.
Also just to add: Why do you make it seem as though Shias are saying these things? All of this is in the books of Ahlu Sunnah brother...So he's literally quoting their own books, what then is the issue?

فقد تكلم شراح الحديث على هذا الموضوع، فذكر الخطابي أن الصحب لم يرتد منهم أحد، وحمل بعضهم الحديث على المرتدين في خلافة أبي بكر، وحمله بعضهم على المنافقين وحمله بعضهم على العصاة والمبتدعة.
قال ابن حجر في الفتح في شرح قوله في حديث البخاري: قال: فيقال إنهم لم يزالوا مرتدين على أعقابهم: قال الفربري ذكر عن أبي عبد الله البخاري عن قبيصة قال: هم الذين ارتدوا على عهد أبي بكر فقاتلهم أبو بكر يعني حتى قتلوا وماتوا على الكفر، وقد وصله الإسماعيلي من وجه آخر عن قبيصة، وقال الخطابي لم يرتد من الصحابة أحد وإنما ارتد قوم من جفاة الأعراب ممن لا نصرة له في الدين وذلك لا يوجب قدحا في الصحابة المشهورين، ويدل قوله أصيحابي بالتصغير على قلة عددهم، وقال غيره قيل هو على ظاهره من الكفر، والمراد بأمتي أمة الدعوة لا أمة الإجابة، ورجح بقوله في حديث أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه فأقول بعدا لهم وسحقا ويؤيده كونهم خفي عليه حالهم ولو كانوا من أمة الإجابة لعرف حالهم بكون أعمالهم تعرض عليه، وهذا يرده قوله في حديث أنس حتى إذا عرفتهم وكذا في حديث أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه، وقال ابن التين يحتمل أن يكونوا منافقين أومن مرتكبي الكبائر، وقيل هم قوم من جفاة الأعراب دخلوا في الإسلام رغبة ورهبة. وقال الداودي: لا يمتنع دخون أصحاب الكبائر والبدع في ذلك، وقال النووي قيل هم المنافقون والمرتدون فيجوز أن يحشروا بالغرة والتحجيل لكونهم من جملة الأمة فيناديهم من أجل السيما التي عليهم فيقال إنهم بدلوا بعدك أي لم يموتوا على ظاهر ما
فارقتهم عليه. قال عياض وغيره: وعلى هذا فيذهب عنهم الغرة والتحجيل ويطفأ نورهم وقيل لا يلزم أن تكون عليهم السيما بل يناديهم لما كان يعرف من إسلامهم، وقيل هم أصحاب الكبائر والبدع الذين ماتوا على الإسلام، وعلى هذا، فلا يقطع بدخول هؤلاء النار لجواز أن يذادوا عن الحوض أولا عقوبة ثم يرحموا ولا يمتنع أن يكون لهم غرة وتحجيل فعرفهم بالسيما سواء كانوا في زمنه أو بعده، ورجح عياض والباجي وغيرهما ما قال قبيصة راوي الخبر أنهم من ارتد بعده صلى الله عليه وسلم ولا يلزم من معرفته لهم أن يكون عليهم السيما لأنها كرامة يظهر بها عمل المسلم والمرتد قد حبط عمله فقد يكون عرفهم بأعيانهم لا بصفتهم باعتبار ما كانوا عليه قبل ارتدادهم، ولا يبعد أن يدخل في ذلك أيضا من كان في زمنه من المنافقين، وسيأتي في حديث الشفاعة وتبقى هذه الأمة فيها منافقوها فدل على أنهم يحشرون مع المؤمنين فيعرف أعيانهم ولو لم يكن لهم تلك السيما، فمن عرف صورته ناداه مستصحبا لحاله التي فارقه عليها في الدنيا، وأما دخول أصحاب البدع في ذلك فاستبعد لتعبيره في الخبر بقوله أصحابي وأصحاب البدع إنما حدثوا بعده وأجيب بحمل الصحبة على المعنى الأعم واستبعد أيضا أنه لا يقال للمسلم ولو كان مبتدعا سحقا، وأجيب بأنه لا يمتنع أن يقال ذلك لمن علم أنه قضي عليه بالتعذيب على معصية ثم ينجو بالشفاعة فيكون قوله سحقا تسليما لأمر الله مع بقاء الرجاء وكذا القول في أصحاب الكبائر. وقال البيضاوي: ليس قوله مرتدين نصا في كونهم ارتدوا عن الإسلام بل يحتمل ذلك ويحتمل أن يراد أنهم عصاة المؤمنين المرتدون عن الاستقامة يبدلون الأعمال الصالحة بالسيئة. انتهى.
وقال النووي في شرح مسلم:هذا مما ختلف العلماء في المراد منه على أقوال:
أحدها أن المراد به المنافقون والمرتدون فيجوز أن يحشروا بالغرة والتحجيل فيناديهم النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم للسيما التي عليهم فيقال ليس هؤلاء ممن وعدت بهم، إن هؤلاء بدلوا بعدك أي لم يموتوا على ما ظهر من إسلامهم.
والثاني: أن المراد من كان في زمن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ثم ارتد بعده فيناديهم النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وإن لم يكن عليهم سيما الوضوء لما كان يعرفه صلى الله عليه وسلم في حياته من إسلامهم فيقال ارتدوا بعدك.
والثالث: أن المراد أصحاب المعاصي الكبائر الذين ماتوا على التوحيد وأصحاب البدع الذين لم يخرجوا ببدعتهم عن الإسلام، وعلى هذا القول لا يقطع لهؤلاء الذين يذادون بالنار، بل يجوز أن يذادوا عقوبة لهم ثم يرحمهم الله سبحانه وتعالى فيدخلهم الجنة بغير عذاب.
قال أصحاب هذا القول ولا يمتنع أن يكون لهم غرة وتحجيل ويحتمل أن يكون كانوا في زمن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وبعده لكن عرفهم بالسيما، وقال الحافظ ابن عبد البر، كل من أحدث في الدين فهو من المطرودين عن الحوض كالخوارج والروافض وسائر أصحاب الهوى. قال: وكذلك الظلمة المترفون في الجور
وطمس الحق المعلنون بالكبائر. قال: وكل هؤلاء يخاف عليهم أن يكونوا ممن عنوا بهذا الخبر. انتهى. كلام النووي رحمه الله.

The same as why prophet Isa and prophet musa were aware of their companions but still kept them as their companions. Their job is to guide them not to keep them away from themselves, meaning the truth.

You can get these as PDFs online. I think this would be a good start. You're also welcome to read the translation of duas like Dua Kumayl, Dua Ahad, Dua Iftitah etc.
None of the apostles betrayed Jesus except Judas. Most of them died for him and the rest went to prision. For at least the next 300 years the followers of jesus were persecuted and went to their death. If islam does not lie it dies.
He never said all the disciples betrayed him. He meant Judas as his previous companion alongside the Jews and the Romans who wanted to kill him.
