This is something that is becoming more common in written communications in native speakers, specially if the next word starts with 'a'... e.g. Voy a ir A almorzar.. they leave the 'a' out. 😯

I have a confusion though. I thought `Le compré regalos a mis hijos` at @1:05 would have meant "I bought presents for my kids" not "I didn't invite Diego or Paulo". At first I thought it was just an accidental swapping "my kids" with their actual names & maybe "compré regalos" is a non-translating expression related to inviting people. Then I saw the matching Spanish phrase @1:13. I've only been studying about 4 months, but I suspect there was a mix up entering the text in the video?
Also, if you could pause a moment longer before moving on. I have to keep rewinding to pause it so that I have enough time to read and process it. 8)
I think you are correct about an error at 1:05. Also, I agree re pausing a bit longer with the text on the screen before moving on.

@@JuanMoreno-wo5yb Thanks for the heads up, but usually not an option. Unfortunately they removed that feature in the TV app about a year ago and my TVs also require 2 sequential remote clicks to stop the video. One to "wake up the app" and the second to stop it. That usually means I have to rewind & try again especially when something is only visible for 1-2s. That's why I thought I'd suggest it. Great video though! 8)

"algún" means "any"
Who knew ! The point was that never in English does anyone say something such as "Did you meet any friend at the party?" In this usage "any" functions only as a plural adjective. Won't bother you again, oh wise one.@@brauljo

Super helpful, but at [2:13] the incorrect “a” is highlighted. “va a cuidar” vs “a alguien”
1:16 ¿can't the preposition be omitted with "amar"?
You’ll hear it is omitted sometimes for sure, but the correct way is with “a”
