I've never heard the English expression "in the year dot". Had to google it! (Canadian)

Are these idioms specific to a country or region?

These phrases are quite common in many Spanish-speaking countries, so we didn't attribute any particular countries (as we often do when relevant). The only really regional expression is "estar de mala leche", which is mainly used in Spain.

Odd that they don’t say where from. I think this channel is mainly Mexican Spanish.

We feature Spanish from many Latin American countries, including Mexico. Most of these phrases are used in many countries with the exception being "estar de mala leche", which is mainly used in Spain.
