Mad jealous you have friends that play mh. I started a play through where I’m collecting every weapon and armor piece in ib. I’m 90 hours in and only just got to high rank. Definitely keeping my monster hunter addiction satiated until wilds though 😅

Just go to the training area and find what weapon suits your play style best. When it comes to armor it’s more important to pick armor pieces based on the skills they have rather than their defense. The skills you should be looking for can really kinda depend on the weapon. You can just google what skills are best for your weapon or find a RUclips video. Critical eye, critical boost, weakness exploit, health boost, and stun resistance are generally good skills to have though. Just hunt whatever you need to for the gear you are currently working towards getting. You can always go back and grind out a specific monster if you real need to. I have a few extra tips for new players. You should always eat at the canteen before any hunt. It gives extremely valuable buffs and it’s really cheap. If you use a melee weapon remember to sharpen it whenever you get the chance. The defender weapons and guardian armor are specifically made to let people breeze through the base game and make it to the dlc so if you want it to be at the intended difficulty I recommend ditching it. @@fatalixplays3350 YES BRO take your time. i got 300 hours in a month and i regret rushing iceborne and fatalis gear just make sure you do safi > KT > fatalis just so you can feel the gear progression eventho goin straight to fatalis is the best option. now i just do boring ass decoration farm but cant seem to stop anytime soon 😂😂😂😂😭😭

Between Xbox and PC I have over 3,000 hrs in MHW, around 1,200 of which were PRE Iceborne and yet I'm STILL playing. I love Monster Hunter so much.

same thing happened to me, bought the dlc and started from the beginning with friends and my 80 hours shot up to 300 in barely more than a week

Hate to admit it but I got it too right now 😢 Monsters like Rajang, Alatreon and Fatalis is stressful AF but I can stop playing for some reason.
