Bathurst jail had a max security section called “Katingal” somewhere deep in the region of “true regret”. You would never be the same after a stint in that living hell.

More Don Walker genius. Cold Chisel is my favourite band so i'm biased but in my opinion, no one sings ballads better than Jimmy. Another simple ballad is The Plaza Hotel with Ian singing lead...i think you would like the songwriting in that one. Also, at some stage, you need to listen to their cover of "Knocking on Heaven's Door" so that you can hear Don sing (find a live version)...its also my favourite version of that song. I also should point out that in this video, the drummer, Charlie Drayton, is wearing a t-shirt with Prestwich emblazoned across the front, in honour of Steve Prestwich, Chisel's original drummer, who wrote some of their biggest hits, most notably Flame Trees and When the war is over..
Mitchell I also love Jimmy doing ballads, it really showcases how good his voice really is. Also I don't think it's been done yet, but Flame Trees is my favourite Cold Chisel song. I've seen a more stripped back version from the home front during lockdowns and also a version done with Keith Urban, both excellent. 😊
Jimmy got to go home for Christmas after having heart surgery ,he will be back

Bathurst high security is for the toughest of “Hard Nuts” . You know you have incurred the wrath of the justice system when your sent to Bathurst. The highest security section was called “ Katingal “, a place to have the term “punishment” redefined for just you. No one gets out unscathed but you are returned to freedom, harder than a coffin nail.
