Your vids/advice have given so much more life to the game for me. I actually have things to practice and try out, and I've even been able to self analyse a bit these days. If I was on my own I'd probably just be going round in circles getting frustrated til eventually giving up.
I'm at Plat 5, but I think this is a great video for those starting out. You gave them solid advice that can help them level up w/o overwhelming them. This allows them to build in layers as they progress.
I actually went from Silver 3 to Gold 5 in just a few days! (actually achieved it last night) Used this guide as well to keep my neutral game in tact. Will watch your guide now on Gold to Plat since I'm almost at my rank up game. Thank you, Chris! Your beginner friendly approach + enthusiasm for this game is what got me into it and I'll one day be in higher ranks
I've actually just climbed up to plat 1 by learning a basic BnB combo and learning to AA. Discovered this video series and there are definitely holes I can patch up. Great and easy to understand. Looking forward to practicing. Thanks!
Can’t wait for next part of this series! Already in platinum, but I feel my pressure and general game plan it’s abit one dimensional. Going to try sticking to some of these concepts and see how it goes. Thanks dude appreciate it tips keep it up!
@@Chris_Fso it’s been a rough road , trying not skip Neutral but I did manage to get into plat 2. Really need to work on spacing - and labbing match ups. Thanks again dude - keep the vids coming.
Thanks for the videos man. I like them cause you tell us what to practice and focus on and you give us gameplan advice. Other videos I see they mainly just show a bunch of different combos and yeah that's cool but not exactly what I am looking for.
I try to make videos that show my viewers exactly what to do AND how to practice it. Great to hear that my approach works for you! Thank you so much for watching and for the comment!
Found this video after being stuck in Silver 1 for too long and being having a bad losing streak. I'll take this advice to heart so I can hopefully reach to gold and even further.
Thanks Chris, this confirms most of what I do and gives me a few additional tips, really helpful ! Looking forward to the next video ! (Currently gold 4 stars)
Oh damn I didn't know we could drive rush after a cancelable move just by pressing parry (MP+MK) like in 3:58 Its way easier for me than Fwd Fwd, thank you! Very helpful video, keep it up!
Just noticed by looking at your inputs that you can do dragon by doing forward-down forward-forward, landing dragon was my biggest issue and now i learn it is that simple
Thnak you for your guide. when I played SF6 with Cammy , I didn't have any plan but only fought . I, however, come to know why I have to do Spiral Arrow and to dash forward when my opponent down. I hope you to make another Cammy guide for Platinum level next time soon!
My pleasure, I’m glad you found it helpful! I already started working on the next gold/platinum video and I hope to have it ready soon but please be patient
I've looked for a couple other videos, some of them hours long, but this is exactly what I was looking for. I played a little bit of Tekken 7 before so having a couple of moves + follow up and basic game plan explained is really nice to practice in the lab and use them for the first couple hours until they become muscle memory and ready to learn some other new ones :)
The main reason I wake up with invulnerable reversals or other high risk options, is because blocking feels like it's delaying the inevitable. I don't know what to do after blocking on wakeup, and while in theory i understand I'm supposed to be plus after basically anything that wasn't enhanced with drive rush, it feels like if I press a button afterward the enemy does something negative I'm getting counterhit anyway, and if I don't, I eat a throw, and if I delay throw tech I get shimmied. Do you offer coaching? I understand at my level of mid-plat Ryu it shouldn't be a necessity, as everything is available online, but I find it very hard to focus and analyze my replays productively after a salty loss, so I was hoping that a more experienced, and detached perspective would be a good way to get a framework of what to do to improve. I'm not looking to become the best player in the world, I'm looking to get as many characters as high as possible, but when I don't understand what i'm doing wrong, I get angry and I end up playing even worse, turning into a vicious cycle.
Thanks for taking the time to write! This is hard to answer properly in a RUclips comment, but yes I do offer coaching. Hit me up on Twitter (link on my RUclips about page) and we can set it up
man i'm loving your videos, helping me a lot, i would like to ask if you can make a jamie guide like this someday, he is a pretty tecnical char too, no fireball, strange dp, but some safe jumps frametraps , command grab chain, its so many details that a noob like me cant get out of gold, + 1 sub bro thx
Thank you! I’m probably going to wait until season 2 or the next big patch drops to do character guides since they’ll most likely become outdated in about 2 months or so.
thank for your teaching , I am a gold 1 player now , i can use these combo . In the rank I know that many gold players dont do crouch blocking so i can take damage easily with my cr.mk>DR>cr.hp>h arrow but sometime there are some players discover that I only start my attack with cr.mk(or some DI) so they just keep crouch blocking then i have no idea what i can do. I had tried some cannon strike sometime it hit but cant connect combo easily ( i use 4mp-hk jump mp >214p). Are there any easy combo after cannon strike?
You can always go for a strike/throw mixup if they block after cr mk drive rush. Example: drive rush blocked->cr lp-> then either frame trap with st mp if you think they’ll push a button or go for a throw throw if you think they’ll block
So for Anti Air, It's really hard for me to input the buttons for cannon spike. I've been trying to instead use BHP and not sure if that's a good alternative going foward of maybe i just need to practice rapidly pressing cannon spikes in lab instead?
B+MP is an OK anti-air but it only works at specific ranges and will lose to to some of the best jump attacks in the game like ken and Luke j.HP. My advice is to go into training mode and record the dummy jumping forward at different ranges and practicing your dp input and timing. This will help you a LOT. I might make a video just about anti-airs since I think it’s something a lot of people struggle with
@@Chris_F I remember your episode 5 of the 101 series talking about jumps and how to stop jumps. There's a part where you talk about the cross-up jumps which I haven't had time to try out with the dummy but cross jumps are easily top 3 main weakness I have right now. Appreciate the responses and all the tips!
at 6:28 cammy hits a cMK and immediately goes for a drive rush. I know they didn't hit confirm the cMK so how did they know to go for the drive rush? What if chun li had blocked the kick? I'm assuming this is just a read, but id rather know than assume. was it bc chun li was walking forward, so she likely wouldnt block? or some other reason
It’s just a read, but even if the drive rush is blocked it leaves you in a great position to apply strike/throw/shimmy pressure. I recommend watching one of my other videos about this How To OPEN UP Opponents In SF6! Offense Guide/Tutorial ruclips.net/video/M9v_nRQun5Q/видео.html
