Amazing guide dude. Next please do some commentary of your replays and talk about what you are thinking and what you are looking for during each moment! Nice work again!
Not only a great guide for gameplan, but clear instructions on how to practice what I wanna practice without being too prescriptive. Great content, keep it up
it speaks to the quality of this game's tutorials that the first thing a top level player recommends is hitting the built-in guides and combo trials. feel like those are okay at best and irrelevant at worst in other fighting games
This is one of the best fighting game guides I've seen in a long time. It's an absolute must-watch for any Cammy player. Thanks for taking the time to put it together.
This was really well made. The layout and script went together perfectly. It layered on advanced options extremely well and it goes into pretty advanced OD stuff at the end with the safe jump setup and meaty resets. Thanks SonicSol!
6:16 “when your normal hits late” Watching this live and hearing your inflection in your voice and then seeing the final product, you really see how much work goes into making this super informative guides. This guide is incredible, thanks a ton for this Sonic_Sol!
This video is seriously awesome. I appreciate how thorough it is and how you explain everything. Many guide videos are effectively just combo videos, but this details both strategy and how to get rewarded when that strategy is successful. Props man and keep it up!
Thanks. Helpful information. I'm not good at buffering timing, so I've put together a training mode setting to practice Cammy's HK spiral arrow wake up meaty. Anyone else struggling to get comfortable with the meaty can try this out. Settings: - Block After First Hit - Block Reversal Light Punch Count 1 Delay 0 (increase delay to give more leeway for practice) Do HK Spiral Arrow (hit) -> Dash -> crouch HP (block) -> stand MP (counter hit) -> crouch MP (hit) -> HK Spiral Arrow. You can loop into the dash step from here and it is an infinite practice loop. If your stand MP gets a trade, you did not manage to buffer the input and pressed it 1 frame late. If you get hit, either you missed more inputs or you did not time the stand MP properly. I find this a useful setting to practice the timing of buffer these inputs and the meaty wake up as I always mess up the meaty and input the dash and crouch HP slightly late. For other people wanting to try out other meaty options, I've also did some labbing to test out a few more meaty setups that can be practiced with the same training mode settings: - (not corner) b+MP -> b+HK -> jump forward MP -> HK dive kick -> dash -> crouch HP -> standing MP(counter hit). You can get 4 frame advantage on the crouch HP meaty block here. - (corner) b+MP -> b+HK -> jump forward MP -> HK dive kick -> stand LK -> crouch HP -> standing MP (counter hit). You can get the same meaty as spiral arrow and get a 3 frame advantage. Similarly, you can loop into crouch MP -> drive rush -> stand MP with the above training settings for inifinite loop practice to get the meaty set up timing down.
Bro I have never commented, subscribed and liked a video as fast as I did to this one. Thank u bro this is super helpful, a great mix of high and low level mechanics with a great showcase of basic AND cool AF combos to start with!
I thought I was gonna play Cammy soon as the game dropped but I’ve actually been going through mad character crisis. This guide helped solidify my decision to give her a good go of it for awhile. Fantastic guide, Sonic. Thanks.
This is the Cammy Master I've been looking for. Old SF II player here, she was my main from her first arcade appearance in 1993. Not played much since SFA3, just some very limited SF4 play time (probably got more hours on 6 already). I have a lot of catching up to do, I'm not likely to peak on reaction times due to old age. So I'm gonna have to predict my opponents moves more. :)
Im new to fighting games entirely and this is the best guide ive seen so far. Everything was easy to understand and he explained WHY he would do what hes showing (surprisingly some people dont explain the why)
Bro the tip with her back medium punch changed the game for me. Ive been struggling with cross ups even though i felt like my attack shoulda stopped it
Fire tutorial, I main Deejay and randomly opened this video before playing for the day. Got bodied by a Cammy and just finished watching the video, was so informative I have so much tech written down now. THANKS
bruh, this is an EXTREMELY helpful cammy guide! thanks for this! I've watched both punk's and yours and you cover some different things than him so it's definitely good to watch both of ya'lls guides haha
This is proper informative, its helped me to understand things that i kind of knew, better. Been a a Cammy player since ssf2 and dont plan on changing now! Great Video
I feel I learned something today. I've been trying to get better with her with ranked and casuals and I've lost so many times.. I just want to be better with her. You've given me tips that'll help. Thank you! Hopefully I'll be able to spark some competive spirit with her. In a great way for me and my opponent.
sonic is one of the most consistent players rn i'm praying u get more flowers with the new game beacause this is one of the best character break downs I've seen and i don't even play her , keep it up g.
Great Video! It's going to take me some time before I can fully digest and execute the information provided in this tutorial. I'll work on it one at a time practicing my normal and anti airs first then move on to the rest of the guide.
@@SonicSol bruhhhh I'm not even kidding, I just went on a TEAR. Didn't lose a set in like 20 matches, 13 game winning streak, like 4 or 5 rank ups. Your guide absolutely helped, gotta say thanks again.
Found a kinda gimmicky anti-air setup I thought I'd share here. Really enjoyed the video too btw, it's an excellent starter guide to Cammy. If you cancel the back MP into a HP hooligan and then LK divekick, it'll almost always cross-under and the divekick will auto-correct. This'll leave you +6 on hit and close enough for the two LP into LK hit confirm, as well as being 0 on block as the divekick will hit about knee height. You can also stay on the same side by using lp hooligan but the frame data is much worse, leaving you about +2-ish on hit and -4-ish on block. You can go for the axe kick/throw follow-ups more reliably though. Mp hooligan is really ambiguous though as it'll cross under or not depending on how far away the jump was, leaving you at +4 on hit and -2 on block and close enough for the easy hit-confirm. It's probably still better to anti-air with DP when you can, but if someone's predictable with their jump-ins it can be a good way to reverse their momentum.
@SonicSol Bro as a long time Cammy main...I can say that this guide does give me a direction to practice with her. I've been playing since launch & even though i'm having fun, i'm getting my ASS kicked by the homies and I needed direction to figure out this style of Cammy. This guide helped alot and revealed some cool shit to practice. Thank you man!
Honestly I’ve watched it twice mainly for the drive rush and punishes, only came across this guide cause my friend challenged me to learn cammy, and outta the videos this was the most useful so thank you for taking time outta your day to make this for us
@@SonicSol hey bro, just want to say thanks again for the vid. Just finished my placement matches. Won 7 out of 10 and got Diamond 🔥 probs going to lose and de-rank now 😂 but I’m over the moon with that outcome 🤝
