The most simple concept is to ex reversal when you’re at negative to steal back your turn, once they respect that, you can continue pushing buttons or attempting a walk up throw. I challenge kens hk dragonlash early on with ex reversal.
I am a Master player with Cammy and I find this video very helpful! I believe it would be a nice addition if you talked about Punk's Shimmy, He is too patients and precise with it and usually get his opponents with it
Really glad you enjoyed this! I've watched a lot of Punk and it might be good to highlight some of his play even outside of Cammy herself. He's so precise with his footsies that it is a great way to show people how to do this at a higher level.
Punk is just naturally gifted. Pros even struggle to figure out how his brain works. Punk, like Jwong, can just simply process information in real time inside their head faster than most people.
You did not explain the most awesome bit about that last combo - Level 3 would have killed there, but he had only 2.5 bars, allowing him only to got for the harder and much more situational Level 2 into level 1 combo, which he build just exactly enough meter for.
As a day 1 sfturbo cammy main I STILL come back to this and others like it for this series. Been a fan forever more of this PLEASE!!!!! SUPER INSIGHTFUL!!!!! Salute my guy #CTFGC 👊🏾🫡
Honestly it seems like that was the intended way to play Cammy. Long-reaching safe on block normals to condition your opponent and test their patience and multiple buttons that can create space or frame traps (st.HP > cr.MP, 3 st.LPs > st. HP, even fw.HK, a useless button as of now with clear idea behind it- create some space and punish a whiff). Watching Punk's playstyle and trying to somewhat imitate it is what's carrying me through the ranks. It's really rare to get hit by a random DP, a DI, or just any buttons with long startup when you're playing patiently and have time to react. And the reward for punishing those is massive.
I think this is the long-term strategic way to play Cammy. You can sprinkle some hooligan's in here or there but the way Punk plays Cammy allows for stability. Great comment here!
2:49 I like how you said this is where alot of players find ways to lose the game, but not punk I've definitely been guilty of this, lol. Extremely susceptible to the comeback, basically gave them the round
Great video and editing we need more content like this. Punk is such a phenomenal pro gamer hes the only one i believe that plays the game correctly lol
Love to make changes for the next video. In some sections I was using blurred b-roll while talking, Can you let me know which section was overly saturated with graphics? I'll think about that for the next one.
great vid! love Punk and his play. but i feel like a lot of this galaxy brain stuff is just random, like at 1:06. reacting to a 5 frame normal isn't humanly possible, let alone inputing dive kick in time to punish it. not saying Punk isn't the best Cammy on earth but a lot of times he's just throwing stuff out there and it's hitting, like the rest of us haha
He's not reacting to the 5 frames before the normal is out. He's not even reacting to the normal at all. He's reacting to his jump successfully getting over a button Luke pressed because Luke wants to press corner advantage. He knows the Luke is going to apply pressure because during the lead up to that jump at 1:02 we see the Luke does c.mp, s.HK. Then follows up when Punk doesn't react with DR c.mp, c.mp, s.HK. Then on the third shuffle in Punk decides to jump in response to Luke getting into range, and this time Luke picks only s.HK because that's the move that would reach from how far out he is. There were 3 interactions that lead up to Punk's decision.
@@stank666ocean Your point was that he was doing random, there was nothing random about it. There was conversation happening the whole lead up to it, and you missed it and called his jump decision random. Homie. :)
Yeah he puts himself in minus frame advantage to bait the opponents. It's a different kind of frame trap, you can even say its more of a spacing trap. When people normally use the term frame trap they mean that the aggressor is + and then the opponent is forced to push a button, tech, or escape. Hope that helps! Hope you enjoyed the video
2:34 is cap. Us cammy plays use st.hp because it’s out most light/ medium punches at optimal range. I believe Punk tried to bait a button, but Dual just so happens to walk forward
Man its so good to see your videos coming out again. As a Cammy main, these are so bless
Glad you like them!
Thank you. The idea of creating opportunities when you're negative is a interesting concept i'm going to look into. Good video :)
Thank you for the feedback. I hope this helps and if this video does well I'm hoping to get another soon!

Justin Wong multi game player but for sf6 not on punk level

oooh i think I simply forgot haha :) - I've been practicing some situational combos like that but Punk has those down solid
Wow, this was super insightful.
Glad you think so! I'm hoping to make more week to week starting this week.
Awesome video! Videos like these are always welcome!
More breakdowns like this would be sick
Will do!

The thing about these top players is how absurdly fast they think.

Thank you so much. Hopefully people can like and share and more can see this kind of content
Good one
Thank you! Cheers!
He is the best in the world, from a consistency standpoint alone. Watching him get outfootsied by John Takeuchi the other day was interesting
most top level cammy players are good at these things, what do you think makes punk stand out from mago, kazunoko or akira?

@@OneTimeHero I love how punk doesn’t rely on dive kick, trying to dive kick has gotten me killed a lot of times

Man it's more of a read on opponent, if you got that read like Punk, sometimes negative could create a opening.
Good commentary but we cant see the example when it's covered in graphics
