wholly crap, i know their engineering on this is at a whole other level than version 2345 of the ARRMA counterparts, but COME ON TRAXXAS! The Rear dogbone flyin' out?! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery! right down to the poppin' dogbones. it happens in my Talion EXB every few rips. Great review as always! Cheers, from Texas!

Hey Amain. Just so you know I am STILL running the original esc and motor on the Erevo 2.0 I got from you guys January of 2021. It has held up really well, I have been very rough with it and it's still going strong. Ty at Amain for great service and products!
I hope the price drops soon. $800 is a bit too steep for this
I’d love to see it on that track!!
Kind of like how when my buddy got one the other day and didn't know he needed the Easter Egg body clips for his batt. tray and it didn't tech. break but it just sat there while he figured out foam and velcro to get his car to run... Ya, those dang technicalities lol
My slash keeps going, my nephew ran it into curbs like 10 times at full speed no issues.
We've cracked 2 chassis in half already
@@CheeseOnEverything Someone needs to learn how to drive😂
There's no center diff??
Hi there,
What pitch gear for the Traxxas Sledge,
48p or 32p? Thanks in advance
Traxxas got me into this hobby but I've slowly moved towards arrma. Better pricing and the option of getting a roller is great. 800 seems a little too much if I'm spending that much I might as well add more and get the 8s arrma kraton
Good luck with the Arrma arms. Especially the 8s ones. They break easy
@@reidisaacson9623 the 6s arms have proven to be quite tuff, it's pretty limited to the 8s cars. The Erevos suck about snapping arms too, but its just limited to them.
Okay… get a weaker truck.. enjoy lol
@@4door_papi I mean 🤷♂️ there isn't a 1/5 or 1/6 that is going to be more durable then most 1/8. They are too heavy.
@@4door_papi I'll be fine either way I don't bash hard
What are the Low Profile Tires you used on the Sledge (jumps !) ?!…
Sweep Road Crushers: www.amainhobbies.com/sweep-road-crusher-belted-premounted-monster-truck-tires-black-2-swp-srcc1001b/p1051046
They rubbed on the suspension arm a little if I remember right. I think some light dremeling would solve it.

Looks like, as a traxxas "hater" (did have/drive slash, bandit, revo but didn't like durability/need for upgrades etc.) they are improving there cars quite a bit lately. Think the xmaxx and this truck are very good examples of it. Only thing is still the price point, but if i didn't have 10 cars already i would give it a shot.
Awesome review Brett! The Sledge looks like the best 6s truggy!
Besides the EXB lineup that has actually better materials, easier to work on, and 50 dollars cheaper
@@thatmarred_mustang nah the sledge has 10x better materials stock

Thanks for sharing. Just found u I am brand new again was in it 30 years ago my god things have changed wow. Waiting for my sledge to come in
Excellent! It's going to feel great holding that transmitter again! Hopefully it arrives soon, and congratulations on the new Sledge; it's awesome!

Thanks for another amazing vid! What ramp is that?
Great review. Debating on getting a Sledge or a Jato 3.3. Thanks for putting this together.
Great review!! 👍
Is it ok to use 1 6s?
I'm more amazed at those tech deck skills.
Hi ,Can you send me where do you both the ramp for rc ?
Way back in the day in a long long time ago Traxxas had a truck called the sledgehammer. Which is where the tires get their name and possibly where this truck gets its inspiration
Now that you mention it, I remember that! Wasn't it a Stadium Truck/Monster Truck with white plastics and 2wd?
-Brett
@@AMain_Hobbies yes it was Brett it even had eight oil-filled shocks in a lot of ways it was kind of like their first basher
@@christophermears7738 Yeah, I remember! You're totally right. Thanks for sharing that.

I can see us buying a lot of replacement tires because they balloon way to much. that glue will not last long.
why arnt the wheels belted
Surprised it doesn't have rear cvds
That's insane! That truck needs some belted tires. They seem like they balloon real easy. I'll wait a little to see if they make any improvements.
If I have a slash would it be a good idea to get this to add to my collection. Like is there that big a difference between them?
It depends on what you want to do with them
The sledge is a fair but faster and tougher though
@@massid3774 just some bashing around idk
@@CRUSADER9121 well the sledge will be faster and tougher but it’s not anything hugely different
@@CRUSADER9121 if ur not doing any insane bashing then an outcast or e revo will be fine
Does it matter if you use two 3s or one 6s does it make any difference
No, shouldn't make a difference.

Thanks for another great vid. I enjoy my E Revo 2.0 so much, Im just getting one of these based on that. Pick up tmro, yes!!
How are stock wheels and tyres holding up?
Fine I assume but not sure. The truck went to our retail store to be a demo truck and sit on display.
-Brett
Can you run a single 6S with the jumper
Yes you can
-Brett
@@AMain_Hobbies Thank you the guy that sold to me at the Hobby shop so I couldn’t so I had to buy 2 3s🤦🏽 junk ones too😫
I have only two things to say:
1) Replace the stock tires with one of the Pro-Line 3.8" Belted options. Better yet, get the Belted Street Fighters for street use, and either the Belted Badlands MX38 or Trencher HP for off-road use.
2) I want the blue one. 🤙🏼
What's wrong with the sledge tires?
@@Art-zs6sl Watch the entire video, and the answer will be obvious.
@@Art-zs6sl Traxxas tires are garbage
To be fair, we were pretty wreckless with the tires. Despite the abuse we dished out, the tires held up extremely well and they should be awarded for not ripping or tearing.
-Brett
@@AMain_Hobbies True...but, as you said, yourself, they balloon like crazy, making the vehicle extremely unstable at higher speeds (thus the reason you didn't even attempt higher speed/geared runs. That's why I was suggesting belted tires - specifically for going faster.
Everybody wanted the Erevo when it first came out when I was a kid and the Traxxas sledge came out so now I want one real bad as an adult.

Brett what portable ramp are you using in this? Need one!
I'm not sure. Someone gave it to us and said it came from a BMX or Skateboard shop. We looked for a label or brand on it but it's not identified. It's all plastic though. We're looking into offering ramps at AMain but the shipping is always an issue.
