Have to say, you have hit number 1 for my 4wd \ outdoor content on the tube. This is now the standard. It was sidetracked, but the simplicity of your content is relaxing and informative.👌
Many people I know couldn't do what you do. They need to be close to a tv, a letterbox and a coffee shop. There is an art to going solo and just enjoying the smell, the colours and the sounds of the west aussie bush. You don't have to climb mountains, trek through gorges or battle the Canning stock route to get your kicks. You have nailed it. Peace and fresh air and an appreciation of an ancient land that has battled time and comes up fresh every day for us to visit and appreciate it.
Thank you Geoff, that means a lot to hear. I feel for those folk that can’t turn to isolation of nature and strip it back a bit. You’re right, you don’t need to travel far or see every bucket list destination to really get the thrill of being remote in the bush. Appreciate your comment mate, thanks for the kind words.
A lot of "fizz" in not just this upload Matt, but all your stuff. Your passion for being in the bush is riveting. It oozes out through the screen to the rest of us! The only channel I'm subbed to, where I've assigned a notification and can't wait till next video. (Apart from Grahams AusSolo, he needs to pull his finger out). Keep it up mate !
Heck mate, that’s just lovely to hear. Thank you so much. I appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment. It means a lot. I agree, ol’ Graham does need to get those AUSolo’s on the go again!
Awesome video mate. You have a very unique Aussie way of describing things and makes it easy to understand for most weekend adventurers. Keep up the great work brother...
anothe ripper mate, camera and edits are epic, especialy loved the final clip, keep it up brother. i do alot of remothe solo camping myself so totally get the "fizz" 🙂
Hey awesome man, great cooking segment too, doesn’t have to be fancy, just cooked on the fire. Magnificent jarrah forest, what a great place to camp 👍👍🏼
This is just beautiful. I was looking for a channel I could watch with local content (I love the South West). You have a similar voice timbre to Les Hiddens. Especially with your knowledge and respect for the bush.
Thanks, Issy, that really means a lot to hear. Truly. What a compliment. I love Les and have watched him for many years. I appreciate your kind words. Nice to have you here.
Awesome mate so peaceful.. we went out on weekend to dwellingup got moved on by rangers. But I pissed down that night so probably good thing lol … can ask what knife ya had there :)
I just love how passionate you are for the bush as I also feel the same about the bush. I love it. I love watching your vids. Do you only have stickers or do you patches also. I await your response Cheers Chris
Thank you mate that’s nice of you to say, I appreciate it. I do have both stickers and patches also, you can find my merch here mate - westralianoffroad.bigcartel.com
Good content mate. There's a great book that goes into a fair bit of depth as to how the native trees shape and grow and how first nations changed the way they grew. You may like it its The greatest estate on earth by Bill Gummage. Mainly over east but it makes ya look at trees in a different light and explain why they are shaped as they are.
Ole Gus love to blow alot of smoke.. Is that normal? I was always under the impression if a diesel blows lots of smoke then the engines got something wrong with it?
Outstanding, loved the content and your knowledge and passion. Really appreciate you taking the time to share. Was this area a prescribed burn or a result of wild fire?
Thank you for watching and the kind words mate. It means a lot. I don’t think it’s seen a prescribed burn for some years, but the area did have a big fire go through in 2014.
@@westralianoffroad Given it started in what appeared cold conditions and cleared up into a clean run pretty quick, I'll agree with you that it's a "dodgy one." However, if they're all the same age then change them all out as the others are likely just to follow suit in no time. In case your don't know, they're not a difficult job to do if you're methodical; however, sometimes you'll get the odd one that can be a bugger to get out. the night before the job, a little penetrating oil around them can help, and certainly have it on hand as you undo them...remembering that too much force might end up snapping one in the head and make you use a hell of a lot of bad language.

👌👌 spot on mate! Loved the knowledge. Very relaxing and informative.
What mic are you using? The sound was epic!
Thanks Ryan mate, appreciate it!
It’s just a little Road Shotgun mic with the fluffy wind ball - picks up a fair bit of the sounds around!
Love the pointless stab of the throttle at the end when taking off make sure its still running haha flying that Td flag high 😘😍🤙
Just blowing some soot out before I shut him off mate! Hahahaha.
How many yowie encounters have you had?

Interesting mate I’ll have to seek that out and have a look. Sounds very interesting. Thanks very much!

I don’t think it’s seen a prescribed burn for some years, but the area did have a big fire go through in 2014.
Duly noted: Cockatoos are dangerous to honky nuts.
Good to know before coming down there.
Very important info, mate 😂
👍👍👍👍
🙏🏻
Can be sure just from the video but I'd bet you need some new glow-plugs in that Patrol of yours 🤔
Yeah got a dodgy one there mate.

Wonderful camera angles mate. Definitely will implement some of them in my second episode of solo Camping 🏕️🙋🏻♂️
Great to hear mate!
