    Leyla - I didn't notice any lighting. Do you just use the natural light from a window? I see a lot of behind the scenes videos from creators who seem to have huge softboxes etc that take up half the room and they don't look any different to your videos. Love the music BTW - particularly the covers of the tunes from the golden era of soul/funk, helpful for struggling newbies to the bass like myself :)

      I just use natural light from a window yes! - it’d always suggest it over artificial lighting. It does depend on the time of day and placement of the window as the sun can be too strong to film in front of. My room is super small so I don’t have room for soft boxes, and I like to keep my process as simple as I can! And thanks so much! 💛

    Layla, that was amazing! I’m interested on how you did to record, like, you plug your bass direct to the Focus rite… so, what kind of plugins did you use? Did you put any pre amp? How can you use that effects show on video direct on your video editor?

    • @leylacontentcreator
      @leylacontentcreator  4 месяца назад

      I got direct into focusrite yes! I add some compression while I’m editing but that’s pretty much it. My process is super striped back really. Can you explain your last question a little more? - thank you for your support 🙏🏼💛

    Hey Leyla, check the framerate of the video recording and also on your audio session =) every device has a different standard, but the audio one should be configurable in your daw.
    (I used to record multi cam and capture the audio with a good mic on cubase when I was shooting tutorials for my mom's arts and crafts stuff. cell phone would record @ 29.97 fps , ipad would record @ 30 fps, DAW would be whatever I would set it up to, and then the video editing session in premiere would also be up to my choice - however, the video would soon start to get out of sync due to those 0.03 fps less. )
    This is probably why your videos sometimes get out of sync. took me a while to figure it out +_+

    when you record yourself playing, do you get to hear what you play? because if i dont hear my own bass when i'm playing, it's gonna be a real issue for me

    • @leylacontentcreator
      @leylacontentcreator  2 месяца назад +1

      Yes I can hear through my imac speakers! Most people prefer to plug in headphones, I do this very rarely. I like to keep the process as simple as possible & I can hear fine with just the speakers!

    How are you getting the audio track inside logic and / Final Cut? Are you just finding an mp3 and importing it?

    • @peadookie
      @peadookie 4 месяца назад

      Focusrite interfaces have “loop back” recording - they just reroute audio output into an input. Handy feature!

    Hi Leyla, wondering if you somehow remove the bass of the original audio via EQ?

    • @leylacontentcreator
      @leylacontentcreator  4 месяца назад +1

      I don’t - you can use apps like Moises, Bandlab and lalal.ai to take the original bass out if you need to :)
