    Bought a 79 exactly the same as this natural string thorough body. Great neck size and sounds so good. Anyone who doesn't think 70s strats are good I urge you to try one, they play and sound so good

      My 79 is wired wrong so the in-between positions have the Peter Green/Brian May reverse phase sounds,,, I refuse to fix that !! 70s hardtail strats have such a thick vibey tone, almost Gibson tone.

    People complain about the 70's look of the stratecasters and Les Pauls but I prefer the 70's big headstock on the Strats and the Valute on the Les Pauls.

    • @brucechavez9535
      @brucechavez9535 Год назад

      Yes, I agree with you...I'm pretty sure it's the SD Quarter Pound. The old owner I'd assume won't doubt the tone quality of Seymour Duncan's....I have my own Seymour Duncan (SSL-1's on neck and middle, and SSL-5 on the bridge) put on my Strat (same color in this video).
      They sound amazing, and they sound like the original 50's pickups as well...😊

    I blocked my trem mechanism with a couple of maple blocks of wood in my American standard strat and I was blown away by the improvement in tone and sustain. Very cool nondestructive little mod if you don’t use the trem bar.

    I love a vibato bridge, myself. The function of it, plus the springs lend an illusion of a mini reverb tank built in. There an atmosphere to 'em that I love.
    I'd be way to tempted to put a Tele bridge pickup and baseplate in a guitar like this. The aesthetic of the natural + blackguard combo would push me over the edge. I'd tun it into some deviant Tele runaway that came home acting different,
    When I was starting to play tolerably in the early 80s, it seemed like natural finish Strats were really common. Even the budget brand copies. But mostly with a white guard.
    This is beautiful! The hardtail is a subtle variation on Strat sound, unless you play a Strat. It's obvious to my ear, but hard to describe.
    It seems mostly in the attack, envelope and decay, rather than the voice itself.
    Very sneaky.
