my main guitar is a 79 strat,, has usable mods from before I got it and it is THE TONE, these guitars are super underrated and pure magic mine is also wired wrong with a 5way switch so you can get the odd out of phase Peter Green or Brian May tones , I will not rewire it!! love the 70s fenders
My main Strat is a 79 hardtail. It blows away everyone who plays it. Fender’s 70’s guitars have a bad reputation, but when you find a good one, man are they good!
Yeah, the first guitar I ever bought was a used 73 hardtail; black with white pickguard and a rosewood fretboard. I've owned it since 1979, and it has been with me at countless gigs and recording sessions over the years. I can attest that the whole "70's Strats aren't any good" thing is 100% wrong. But that misguided belief sure keeps the prices reasonable (at least until people figure out how good they really are!)
Sorry to be so offtopic but does any of you know of a way to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly forgot my account password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me
@Davian Jabari i really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
For 1979, that color was painted over Alder and Walnut. It’s hard to tell which is which, but I’m guessing the walnut ones weigh a lot more. Mime weighs a lot more than my alder strats, so I am guessing my 79 is a walnut one
My 79 hard tail is 8.4 lbs, a very modest weight for these. It really sounds amazing, stays in tune well even after full step bends. Sounds very similar to this. Uncanny actually lol
My dream guitar

@Davian Jabari it did the trick and I now got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thanks so much, you really help me out!
I am a sucker for anything from the 70s my fave decade.
That's a great 70s sound.
What more can you say ? It speaks for itself I love my 72 maple board strat but did have a nice MjT Olympic white refin done to it Good stuff 👍
i love that y’all are playing more haha ❤️

Magical
Killer strat! Would love a real 70's hardtail!
How much does it weight? It was not in the description. Thanks
That is a beautiful guitar, some people call them poop Brown, I think it's an awesome color 😎
Seems like "poop brown" was a popular color around that time. I've got a 1981 poop brown Les Paul XR-1
Como la que uso el maestro Juan Carlos Denis El Creador del ritmo tropical santafesino con viola pero el tenía la 1978
7.25 radius?
Interested to know the weight. I played a late 70’s Strat at my local music store recently and it was the heaviest Strat I’ve come across.

They are the heaviest
Seems like a good hardtail but for me it would look killer if the body was black rather than this brown finish.
they should reissue these without that "limited edition" bullshit
🥃🍺
Is nice to see Stephen King playing.
What? I look like Stephen King?? I'd rather have his money than his looks :)
First!
