Nice driving, hardly span a wheel once. Disco 3s are not about extreme off-road just being able to drive anywhere you might reasonably want to in utter comfort.
Well at the end of the day its a land rover, so luxury or purposeful like the defender it will still be damn good offroad, they have all been tested harsly
Impressive !! What tires and size are you using ?? They look like BF Goodrich but I can't tell for sure .... Do you have the rear locking differential engaged or just terrain management control. .?
@@urko384 I think these tyres have been discontinued now, which is unfortunate because they were probably the best tyre I've ever had. Very very good off-road and absolutely perfect on road. Only downside is they go quite hard after about 2 years and you can tell from the ride. I had 285/60 R18. They rubbed on the front inner back. Later D3 have a bit of chassis protruding into the wheel well which improves crash safety (stops the wheel coming into the footwell) early ones don't have it and probably don't rub. I actually discourage people to get oversized tyres these days. The terrain response, DSC, air suspension etc are all programmed for a certain size wheel and having a larger wheel can causes issues with this system. You can change the wheel diameter with diagnostics tool but this can cause serious issues on the D3 and shouldn't be changed. I believe it is safe to change it on the D4. I'm now running Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx. A mud-terrain/all terrain hybrid as I needed something a bit more aggressive. Incredible off-road, especially when aired down and not terrible on road but obviously no where near as good as an AT or road tyre.
@@b3ntsen I really want to get into green laning and over landing. I love the disco 3 but just feel reliability is a massive issue. That's why I am thinking toyota but limited in the Uk
@@patrickmurphy9266 its a shame as I love the look of them and they are capable off roaders but the reliability is so poor. But Land Rover are still the most popular here in the UK

потом правда ступицы передние сразу поменял :) но это норм, когда колеса выше центра в воде.
Ахах

Hi there, I really enjoyed your video. I'm putting together a compilation of the Discovery and wondered if you would like to be included?
They're a good machine
My D3 slips on mud like a cat on ice. Maybe a matter of tires o driver's skills?
Drive skills
Impressive !!

jeeprider 99 maybe @christianbentsen could answer that. He's car, I was just filming.
They're Cooper Zeon LTZ. I have them on my D3. Great tyre. Only AT to rival the BFGs imo.
@@larry365 what size?
