Cool video, how does the fatbike handlebars turn sideways like that?
I don’t love how the install is so bike specific. Now the bike you replace the 3T with one day will need to have the same wheelbase.
That's indeed a problem! Could be nice to have a sliding rear block. But in overall, all my bikes are in the same ballpark lenght
Don’t really see it as in issue though. Bikes have been conservative in maintaining roughly the same dimensions for the past decade.
Currently, I’m running 3 steadyracks; 1 for a 29” mtb, and the other two for my road bike and commuting bike. I don’t see myself as needing to buy a new rack anytime soon even if I change bikes, since I forswe the bikes being of similar sizes and geometry for the foreseeable future.
@@87togabito glad it’s working for you. I had something similar I built in my garage from wood, but mountain bikes growing from 800mm really crowded things on my set up.
Definitely would install a permanent door stopper.

Je comprends totalement le fait que ces racks permettent de sauver de l'espace, mais en tant que mécanicien vélo on évite toujours d'accrocher les vélos avec des freins hydrauliques. Parce que des bulles d'air pourraient aller dans les shifters ou dans les callipers. Entk je pense pas que ce soit un problème pour toi vu que tu as relativement des builds récents donc pas de stress avec ça!

Hi Lou, Sophia here from Steadyrack :) This a common concern for many bike owners with hydraulic brakes and suspension. When your bike is hung up vertically, the fluid in your forks will run towards the seals and keep them lubricated. This will prolong their use, so it’s actually good for your bike and forks to hang it vertically on our bike racks. If you have hydraulic brakes on your bike, the fluid will run down when the bike is hung, so we advise pumping the brakes a few times when you take the bike off the rack if it’s been there for a while. If you have air bubbles in your brake fluid, this will be an issue no matter how you store your bike. Gravity means that the air bubbles will come to the top, however they are not caused by hanging bikes vertically. If you have air bubbles, it is a good indication that you need to service your bicycle. Our partners at Trek, Giant and Specialized all store their bikes with hydraulic breaks in Steadyrack. I don't like the solution at all, so specific and also hanging like this is damaging your wall and make it dirty from wheels

Only 4 bikes ? . Between me, my wife, we are at 13, then there are the bikes the grown-up kids have left with us, so 18 total. No way we are spending $100 bucks / rack for that many. They all hang from garage ceiling on $5 home depot hooks .
I agree there is some cheaper options, but they are not as convenient as these because they can rotate and really get closer to each other, saving space. I think regular hooks are great for long-term storage. But for quick access, this is hard to beat!

AHAHAHAH faut juste être un bon chum!! Pi avoir un autre endroit pour ranger les bikes en extra. Dans notre condeau du plateau j'ai max 3 bikes, alors tous les autres sont chez mes parents sur la rive sud
