My group had a blast haha we tried the co-op mode for our first play to just understand the game mechanics. One obj was to kill the queen, I was in the room with a queen, crafted a flamethrowers. Set the room on fire . Locked the doors around me and just let the fire damage kill us both after a few more combats haha. It was epic. We win with probably only 1 turn remaining based on the circumstances.
Yes to the Rules Reference!!!! They so needed this so you don't have to keep checking what the die roll does, what the token does, etc.
Sounds really cool! I backed this one. Awaken Realms has been putting out some great games.
I’m waiting to receive this from their last campaign. I can’t wait to play it. The first time my 27 year old approached me about going in together to get a board game.
The fiddliest part of the game is having to look up what each of the intruder tokens does when it is drawn during the development phase. That and the results of the combat dice in melee and shooting.
I would recommend against letting the first dead player control the intruders. The difficulty dramatically increases to the point of being unfair.
XShrike it really does.
@@PeacockJason I haven't tried this yet, I was thinking it would be interesting to try...I hadn't read all the rules yet for what happens.
I've played it but it's too random for my taste. Very thematic though, but I don't feel like that isn't enough for me.
Awesome game, solo as well.
I actually remove the fire stuff from the game, because it's too random and harsh.. The game doesn't suffer at all, and is just usually just more fun.
It reduces the risk of setting your own fires. It also makes fire actually something you need to handle, like the malfunctions. You don't even need to put the fires out. You can just close doors to control the spread. It also eliminates a way to destroy the ship if that is your objective.
There are events that will cause the ship to be torn apart from malfunctions as well.
If you close your eyes and listen, it sounds like Corey Feldman reviewing the game.
