Other genres?
F*ckboi is a pop punk song with Conquer Divide. It's not as funny as their other videos, but it's a great song that will teleport you back to the 00s/10s pop/punk scene
They covered a VERY famous EDM song from '06 called "Everytime We Touch" by Cascada (another German artist, and hers was technically a cover in a way) And that's a banger
They had a rapper, FiNCH, on for "Spaceman" (This one was their formula, just add in a German rapper)
Hypa Hypa had SEVERAL covers by different artists in different genres and each one had Kevin and Nico in the videos. Those were from
We Butter The Bread With Butter - WBTBWB - Deathcore Metal
Axel One - Smooth pop
Sasha - Date-night Pop
Saltatio Mortis - German Medieval Metal (yes you read that correctly, they have a hurdy gurdy player)
257ers - German Rappers
The Boss Hoss - Country
Gestört aber GeiL - German EDM pop
You also have their other hits from this album
Pump It! - Workout jam
Tekkno Train - Fan Favorite
Arrow of Love
Hurrikan - A troll song to thumb their noses at Eurovision for not letting them in with Pump It! Or We Got The Moves (I don't remember which, I'm not someone who cares about Eurovision)
There's also some older ones that are well loved but are with their old main vocalist Sushi
MC Thunder
Crystals
MC Thunder II (This wasn't with Sushi, but it's the sequel to MC Thunder)
Also they have more serious songs like
Hate/Love
Mindreader
I know this is insane, but there's more. But I'm sure I've overloaded anyone reading this, and also managed to forget someone's favorite track
This is great, thanks!
@@j-swagjr hey! Welcome to German Partycore, everyone's welcome at anytime to have a good time!
Missing the serious parasite in your list 😊
One more vote for parasite 👍
The Nico clean vocals song would be Neon, but sadly this one didn't get a music video or a spot in the set list. Poor Neon.
Obviously there's still Pump It, Spaceman, Tekkno Train and Everytime We Touch still to do. Then there's the cover/collabs of this song in a bunch of different styles, and they're all amazing. But that leads you to We Butter The Bread With Butter's cover, and that leads to WBTBWB reactions, which means Dreh Auf, and 20 km/h, and Jump And Run, and Piks Mich.... oh man. All of that.
Please let me add Arrow of Love, MC Thunder, and MC Thunder II to that list.
One of their guitarists, Pascal, has a video production company with his brother called the "Schillo Bros", and they produce the videos, including RATATATA. There is a Behind the Scenes creation video of Hypa Hypa on their channel. In it you'll see the band members building the set, and the wackiness that ensues. It's good shit. They're so real. lol
Haha, hell yeah bro. They were trying to be "appropriate" and respectful for the Babymetal ladies in Ratatata. EC is hilarious and amazing.
Other "genres":
EVERYTIME WE TOUCH - Just like the classic club song, but better.
HURRIKAN - "Yo, WTF is this German N'Sync sh*t ...... OH F**K! NO THEY DIDN'T!!!"
Mindreader - Serious song
🤘🦊
Those guys at the end are all german youtubers/streamers (most of them from spandau), the one in the front was KalleKoschinsky who got a song with EC called Castrop x Spandau and few other like HandOfBlood who's in another song from EC called MC Thunder ⚡ 😅
The others told you already most of the funny songs. Here are the more serious / different ones:
Hate/Love
Neon (Nico is amazing here)
Mindreader
Fckboi
Parasite
MC Thunder 1 +2
Have a joyful weekend😊
Next
Pump it
Hurrikan
Spaceman
Mindreader
Great reaction! You check out Spaceman by them. I too have been on the discovery trail after Ratatata collab and thats been my favorite thus far
Same, and same... Spaceman took me a little bit to get around to, but it's actually one of the best ones on an album full of bangers. It and Tekkno Train because I always do the motions during the breakdown. Cuz you got to.
@Lellela admittedly took me a 2-3 listens as well but was hooked after that. That was such a good album overall, shame it took so long for me to hear about them
Yes they have many songs constructed around "The Formula", mostly the more comedic ones, but arent afraid to do something outside of it (somtimes they stay in the neighborhood, sometimes they go downtown, sometimes they move into another state). Some examples:
Hate/Love (follow up single to Hypa Hypa)
Mindreader
Parasite (video is made of live show footage over the studio audio)
Fckboi feat. Conquer Divide (CD is an America based, multi national, all female metalcore band)
They have very funny behind the scenes Videos 😊
My favorite of the collaborations that they have done with Hypa Hypa is with Saltatio Mortis, a German Band who does middle aged themes with rock and metal and uses middle aged type instruments. It lead me to Saltatio Mortis and I’m exploring their music as well. EC also has done a few more serious songs that are really good. Check out Mindreader, Hate/Love, and Parasite. All 3 have videos. Kevin does do most of the harsh vocals and Nico the cleans, but they both harmonize with each other on harsh and cleans as needed.
When you said that it sounded like a club song, that part was baically the sound of a techno german band from the early '00, "Scooter"!
Even the song title recalls the title of a Scooter song, "Hyper Hyper" 😄
If you wanna check out a great straight rock banger w/ Nikko at the forefront, go with NEON off of the album Tekkno. THEN, check out the video Neon - StuBru LIVE Studio Brussel and hear Nikko and Kevin harmonizing. SO good!
That said.... It generally SEEMS and is portrayed in most the videos that Kevin is THE screamer and Nikko is THE singer. But Nikko actually does a lot of the screaming too, and Kevin does a good bit of clean singing as a backup or complimentary piece. And sometimes some of the other guys do small bits. You can see/hear more of that if you watch some of the live videos. They're really some incredibly talented people all around. One of the guitarists, Paschal Schillo, and his bro are the main video makers, and the more you watch the more you'll see how amazing the filmmaking is in the videos.
The girl is german and known as _alienxbaby_ and is quite well known there.
For the vocals, both Nico and Kevin can actually do both styles. Kevin can do cleans and Nico can do harsh/growls, and back each other up at live shows. It's just mainly featured that Nico does clean and Kevin does harsh.
Excited for this journey with you. There's a reason that many of the comments here suggest several of their songs and not just two or three... They are all bangers. Tekkno is one of two albums I've ever listened to (by any artist) where I don't skip a single track. Subbed for more EC!
Watch Pump It (Partycore)
Then Pump It - Velvet Remix (pure Pop) you’ll realize how good their melodies are underneath the screaming.
And then try their more serious songs, like
- Hate/Love
- Mindreader
- Parasite
- Neon
- Crystals
Then let them really mess with your head with German Schlager
- Hurrikan
So you’ll need to relax with some
- Castrop x Spandau
- Tekkno Train
- Everytime We Touch
- Spaceman
Hmmm, songs without the screams, atleast not that present, more underlying. if I remember it correctly are Neon, Hate/Love or Prism (an older song, not with Nico, despite there are some live performances with Nico) and the collab with Conquer divide Fckboy which is pure 2000-ish pop punk and was never my thing, no exception for Eletric Callboy. But the guys will forgive me.
Less than 10% of the reactors comments on when the drummer kills the cymbals. Just saying.
Don't sleep on David... He's hilarious!
Check Mindreader🎉 and Hurrikan. 🎉 and Fckboi 🎉
