This song didn't really stand out for me when it was released on TOTN album. But that changed when I heard it live. When I heard it live, I felt like the girls were trying to hype me up to go into battle or something. I got an intense feeling of solidarity and purpose. It was like an incredibly effective religious hymn. #notacult but #definitelyacult

Also, It took me way too long to realize that Bloodywood’s drummer, Vishesh Singh, is the one in the video with the injured hand. That dude deserves even more respect for his amazing drumming considering he is injured like that. It’s hard to get more metal than that. Yes, there is that one obvious example I’m sure many people are dying to comment about now. Haha! Mad respect to Vishesh and the whole band.

This one is definitely another banger for me. I love that they are showing a more goofy side to them with this video. It seems there is a bit of a theme on this upcoming album where the focus seems to be a celebration of the roots and highlights of their culture. Their first one was a bit more focused on general positivity and calling out injustice. With their ability to write songs that sound and feel personal to their culture, while also being universal, I think a serious song about food and its important role in culture and community is pretty cool and a bit unique especially, in metal music. Also, there is an additional message in there of paying respect to those in our lives who may have been the ones to foster love and community by being the ones who did the cooking and perhaps did it better than anyone else. 🙂 ✌🏼🖖🏼🤘🏼(peace, live long and prosper, rock on)

Babymetal is the 'Cirque du Soleil' of heavy metal. Only few big pop/rock acts are on the same league. They are supported by a big entertainment company and the number of people involved in such concert production must be in the order of hundreds.

The Ministry Of Frickin' Darkness - I love that The song is a battle call, summoning people to take up a fight and see it through. When this song dropped, Babymetal had just been in an hiatus for over a year, and the fans didn't get any info if or when they would come back. The needed to reengage with their fanbase, and this song is perfect for that. It would be a fine showopener if Babmetal Death wasn't already perfect for that purpose.

Great reaction, you can see that Pia Arena was produced at a very high level, I think it was to show that BM was back on a high with the official incorporation of Momo, and its intentions to take its music to the whole world.

I am so glad Levi's alive, but still sad to see that some his ODM fingers are gone.

Momo was announced as the new member of Babymetal at the end Black Night (1st April 2023) at Babymetal Begins - The Other One at PIA Arena, but Clear Night (2nd April 2023) was Momo's first show as an official member of Babymetal with a mic. Metal Kingdom was the show opener at Clear Night, so this song was Momo's first song as a member of Babymetal. I was in the pit for this performance and it was absolutely epic. Metal Kingdom is one of my favourite Babymetal songs because Su-metal gets to unleash her full vocal power and just belt. They only wear these outfits for this one song, and only at the big shows in Japan. They have a full choreography for this song for the occasions that they play it outside Japan. The video doesn't show it very well, but the three thrones rose up out of stage during the intro with the girls seated on them like queens. The middle stage platform had hydraulics under it and it lifted up and lowered down during the performance.

To me they have a lot of the same sound as Lacuna Coil

Out of all the outfits they have worn over the years..these right here are my favorite ones.

FYI: Levi is the only scout that uses the odm blades backwards (more so just his right hand, the one he lost his fingers on) while mostly keeping his left blade forward to get clean strikes in his famous bayblade special move, using his bottom fingers, he doesn’t really hold them both forwards like most scouts do. He wasn’t prepared for zeke to do that so he had both the blades forward. So he already knows how to use them without his first two fingers. It’s more noticeable in his side/back story No Regrets.
