    Thanks so much for the info. What size/ brand of vessel do you recommend for candle classes with wick recommendations to keep it easy and simple for the class?

    • @StandleyHandcrafted
      @StandleyHandcrafted  Год назад +2

      For most waxes a smaller vessel is great so you don't have to deal with sinkholes unless the wax doesn't do it too bad., Plus a smaller vessel hardens up quicker.

    • @StandleyHandcrafted
      @StandleyHandcrafted  Год назад +2

    • @ekpcreationscandleco.9062
      @ekpcreationscandleco.9062 Год назад

      @@StandleyHandcrafted I have tried several types of bottles and found that bottles for lotions/shampoos, with a screw on top that also flips open, has been the easiest for customers to use. Easy to open for blotter strips, smelling in the bottle and pouring out the oils to measure.

    • @StandleyHandcrafted
      @StandleyHandcrafted  Год назад +2

      @@ekpcreationscandleco.9062 The bottles I got here ended up working really well for pouring but I did swap out the top for a liquor pouring spout which measures the amount pouring out. They work sometimes. LOL
      I will definitely be getting a better bottle for smelling though.

    • @StandleyHandcrafted

      We use double wicks for this vessel and they can blend if they want. We let them smell and blend if they choose. We do offer input but up to them if they like the smell or not. :)

    • @shareekascreen6346
      @shareekascreen6346 Год назад +1

      @@StandleyHandcrafted But do you test all the combinations? Everyone always says to test EVERY single FO, but how can you do that when offering classes? I'm always concerned that the candles are safe. Do you just use the wicks that work for the particular jar?

    • @StandleyHandcrafted
      @StandleyHandcrafted  Год назад +2

      @@shareekascreen6346 No, for this application, the wax, the wick, the vessel and what ever oil we use it is going to work almost 100% of the time. If anything it might burn a little lighter with some oils but not enough to ruin a candle. This vessel and wax combo works perfect with the LCS 45's and the LCS 50's, for the classes we error on the side of safer and use the smaller wick for all oils.

    Suppliles for classes are expensive. I know if you do regular classes you can make your money back over time. Have you heard of situations where the people requesting the class paid for the supplies and the teacher just gets paid for teaching the class?
