I m sick of random trolls on internet trying to tell me - a person interested in European archeology and mythology for 25 years ! - that vikings from Ireland were black, that Celtic queen Boudika was African, that Vandals - Germanic peoples from Denmark who in 1th century have settled on the west of today Poland - were black, that Septimus Severus - Roman ceasar from 2d century was from central Africa (no, he was apparently half-Berber from north Africa), that Cleopatra VII was black - while she was Greek, and that Lausatians - a Slavic tribe with whose region (in Germany) my region in Poland is actualy bordering ! and whose language I can hear to this day in some villages on the border of Germany and Poland - were black ! I m so sick of it. We all know who is doing it, the owners of the global medias are doing it, but if we dare to speak the truth we would be called some kind of -ism and we all know it.

There is a group of African Americans who say that they are the real Jewish race. That they were taken as slaves from Africa and had their culture and religion taken from them…. It’s insane. So many cultures that are seen as heroic or successful are claimed by certain groups of African Americans. Don’t know why they can’t look to Africa to find their own identity.

Even at Nanking, there was some restriction thanks to 'social hierachy'.
A German businessman & N... party member (though one quite removed from the actions later committed by that group), John Rabe became the accidental saviour to many thousands of 'normal' citizens of Nanking during that time - establishing the 'Nanking Safety Zone' and accommodating many people within his own home.
Ironically, it was his N... party credentials which gave him influence with the Japanese - his mere presence was often enough to delay or stop bad acts in progress.
(His story is well worth looking into, not least because the people he saved actually returned the favour later in his life when he became destitute).

Yesterday, I watched a debate with professors Stephen Miller (a pro-enlightenment/ anti-post modernist philosopher) and Thaddeus Russell (a post-modernist, more-relativist navel-gazer). “Thad” opened his argument by saying that Post-modernists don’t care about being right, they only care about being interesting. Of course the sole desire to be interesting can only be possessed by the painfully boring.
And that’s what I’ve noticed about all of these weasely “intellectuals”. They are so bland, so dishonest, so unable to come up with anything of value to say, because they don’t believe that anything of value exists. Beyond failing at its attempt to be compelling, post modernism is such an obvious mask for narcissism; yes, look at me, I believe that there is no right or wrong, true or false, but if you disagree with me you are not only wrong, you are a terrible human being, because I am holier than thou, because I have no moral standards, yadadadad. Meanwhile all of the beauty and wisdom that humanity has acquired gets tarnished and discarded by these intellectual mid-wits, and the rest of us are at their mercy as our cultural inheritance disappears.
If only the post-modernists professors that pollute our universities had looked to any other source to fulfill their narcissistic desire to be interesting. We probably would not be in the nightmare we’re in now.

I discovered this myself in S. Korea, where I lived for 8 years. East Asian cultures have Confucianism at their base, which is founded upon age and relationships to determine behavior and protocols. So, outside of any relationship, Koreans treated each other abysmally. No empathy or regard at all for the stranger. This is fundamentally different than the Monotheism of the West, especially Christianity which specifically alerts its followers to the plight of the stranger and those outside of one's structure or group. JP as usual is spot on in his analogy.

Indeed. This has troubled me for years. I’m afraid that perhaps human intelligence is only good for tool building and knowing what your prey thinks. Using it does not lead to good decisions, regardless of the definition for good. Structure itself within a society is a wonderful mystery to me, and it may not serve a purpose other than to prevent complete insanity and chaos. But what is structure anyway? And why is it that when you sit down and quiet your mind you become both tranquil and less needy? If you truly let go, you don’t want to cook other people’s skin off. You have that potential to take back control with you at all times, and yet some people use their intelligence for terrible things as if goaded by magic. The monkey mind, if you will. But is there a real decision hidden in all of this? Is there free will? I’m no expert on it, but it looks to me that, in the human world, it is not the strongest human physically who is the alpha. Rather, something far stranger is going on. Something that has to do with the ability to sway and to resist being swayed. It is not clear at all to me how that relates to, say, the ability to solve problems. So what is this mysterious power that humans are seemingly capable of?

Would be interesting to know the differences in hunter gatherer societies when there was of an abundance of megafauna vs scarcity. The strategies and relationships formed around hunting in humans is much more complex right? And when there’s a perception scarcity it’s more like chimpanzees.

There may be two ways to view a social hierarchy, and by social hierarchy I mean it breaks down to something like guidelines that outline what is great. You can therefore look at it as boundaries to exist within that get you the perks of being a 'great individual', or accurately set out boundaries because of the undeniable beauty they are founded upon. If we take it that personality, and therefore your perspective on the world, is shaped by choices you make, I like to believe that its foundation must be the choices made very early in life that were made less responsibly; an idea I use to justify why I use the analogy of an infantile child to understand how deeper motivations work.
Imagine a child who wants 'sugar', sugar as a representation of a fleeting reward, and their parents/authority figures know they do. A responsible authority figure won't allow the child to constantly consume sugar, no matter how exciting and wonderful sugar is to consume to them, but may instead use it to form a reward system. This isn't because they enjoy quelling their child's joy but because they know that it would cause them a toothache later on. The child doesn't fully understand this though, if at all. The parent-child dynamic is very important because it shapes how the child adapts: they may become a trusting child who easily goes on to understand the rules being set out, they may become spoiled and later entitled especially if the reward isn't one with an obvious 'ache', they may come to understand that the way they get these treats is by operating where they cannot be seen, or by lying to/manipulating authorities. These are just a couple of solid examples of possibilities, they may be the extremities with each of us falling somewhere in between, but I believe it is the one who goes on to understand that they were being protected from a toothache that is in the best position to then figure out why it is they love sugar in the first place and go on to understand themselves enough to pursue what they find beautiful: the rest will have to first go through serious, yet fairly proportioned, hell to be redeemed.
This can be used to explain how you could view social hierarchies: guidelines attempting to outline the truly beautiful and deservedly great, worthless guidelines that simply block you from getting what you want based on an illusion of greatness, guidelines you can play around to get what you want given that what you want is afforded to the one considered 'great'. Thinking about the Rape of Nanking, I think these were carried out by those who hadn't looked beyond the perks they could be afforded into the value that drew them to said perks, as they were even willing to be celebrated in Japanese media for their actions. The path to understanding yourself, discovering the Beauty of Love and expanding your conscience is one that can only be walked through unbarred honesty with yourself first: it is without this introspection that each of us is equally as capable of creeping into a mindset that would genuinely enjoy carrying out the horrors witnessed at Nanking.
The New Atheists are already finding out where potential 'toothaches' might arise from, beginning to understand the value of altruistic communities, but a further step ought to be made into why flourishing is even valuable to get a glimpse of undeniable beauty. In fact, if you look at the pro-social ideas they put forth, you may get to see why societal changes that may affect the parent-child dynamic, in such a manner that children's consciences are set to deteriorate, may lead to a societal collapse, and why the cycle of civilisation ending in tyranny never ends. Fighting to get rid of all solid lines may be a variation of fighting to remove the barriers preventing you from getting your 'sugar', and there shall be toothaches.

@jordanbpeterson do you by chance know of any studies that have looked into the neurochemical changes in either chimps or humans during aggression buildup and commission of violent acts, and if so then how much overlap there is?
I can't help but wonder how similar they are, as well as how much what neural changes occur between the time either a chimp or a human acquire a target/build aggression and during or after the commission of the violent act.
If I had to guess, there is likely a positive feedback loop tied to the actual commission of violence in males of both, though I am guessing that chimps likely have a stronger reward system for it because (at least to my basic understanding) chimps tend to be very aggressive to each other even in cooperative environments. Maybe this has to do with absence in female mating selection in contrast to that behavior in humans?

I don't understand, he is stating a non-existent hierarchy in Nanjing Massacre but that massacre was decided and ordered by officers in the japanese military hierarchy to demoralize a chinese revolt. I would rather say it was hyperobedience to hierarchy that justified sadistic massacres (Tajfel, Cave, Milgram). Many holocaust survivor described extermination camp and nazi officers as hierarchy pushed to the absurd but not a "no rules allowed" place, the same was set in USSR, hellish commissar officers were organized by a really stiff hierachy, they would punish almost any deviation from social order to a goulag sentence.

This has nothing to do with this conversation but. I stand with your vision on climate change but why would you not make energy cheaper from the sun ☀️ I see there is positive and negative effects but when setup it’s possible to reduce carbon and save the fuel for the future or other sources needed from it. It’s free energy we could just do that it’s expensive to move forward to this but the outcome is very efficient but we must be realistic and ready to move over to other sources if needed because the sun will not always shine. We can go further we could collect it from space and bring it to us in storage But we must crack serious problems to reach that goal. There is also wind and tidal an hydro power. storage is the main problem it is possible to store energy in other things other than cells. There are only so many parts per million in the ocean can soak up before we change the environment itself.

Ok i have no hierarchy in my Circle. I don’t look down on people and I don’t look up to people either. Look at it how you wish but remember opinions don’t really matter now if a alpha comes along and puts me in my place. That’s what happens but I will always be the same. There is no hierarchy there is no fair, why do we need to be governed and controlled by people who don’t really know us? Who are you to tell me what to do with my life? Wouldn’t that make me unfree it doesn’t mean it’s a precursor to being horrible or dictate to other people I do as I wish we just should exist being happy with love as the key trying to excel in our experience spreading are seed and survive in the elements we make these processes so much more difficult by overthinking and trying to please everyone controlling and creating hierarchies seems to me like a lack of intelligence and not being able to integrate with others.

I understand where you're coming from, but being self-taught can be just as effective. Look at people like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates; they learned a lot outside of formal education. With the internet, there are so many resources like online courses, tutorials, and communities that make it easier than ever to learn on your own.
Being self-taught doesn't mean you're alone. You can still get guidance from online forums, mentors, and peers. It's more about taking control of your learning journey. Plus, it helps you develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills, which are essential in many fields.

In a fight a person either freeze up and can't do anything or become a monster most of us become a monster a real fight is red mist totally numb a fast blur and in those moments there really is nothing you would not do to survive. You're right about doing anything to survive. That's why the idea of war crimes is ridiculous: War is an infinite series of crimes. I may be weird but I'm happier being alive than moral.

God Bless JBP. Imagine how chaotic, confused, and dysfunctional society which has has all the markings of an ignorant generation whose values and collective consciousness are best described as Pathological. become in the world and the level of ‘Fuckery’ about in the world. JDP qualities:
    - Honesty
    - Integrity
    - Transparency
    - Perspective
My grandmother was a demanding high school English teacher in the 1950’s - 1970’s.
Students did all the could to avoid her class as her reputation as a very difficult teacher with high standards and expectations for all was widely known... very intense, brutally competent, Extreme expectations were the norm as she prepared the next generation. She said to: “Get Your Perspective Perfected”.
She would have adored and been grateful for JBP. Ultimately, it is easily argued that JBP is the greatest communicator and most effective and impactful public persona which he never sought, yet is absolutely no other who comes close…. … since the beginning of time. JBP is genuine, he truly cares, and those who resist his gentle yet perfect perspective will do so at their peril.
Folks just need to read Douglas Murray’s ‘The Madness’s of Crowds’”
    God Bless JBP
