A little inspiration for you during this week where no one know what day it is. Go say hello to Saronne: ruclips.net/channel/UCYqj9ViZ4d4AiMR1KgETykg
Love her channel
What a great looking garden. I love it.
Hasonlót tervezek. 🙂
I love these tours of other people's gardens Huw! Great to see Saronne featured again. She has created a paradise. I hope these videos become a regular feature once more. We can all learn something from seeing how others develop their growing space.
What a beautiful and varied garden! I will plant more flowers in mine come spring. Thank you!
Thank you so much!
What a stunning place to look at . Beautiful! Flowers are always the queen of a garden 😍
I"m in the US and it always amazes me when people wonder where the bees and butterflies are when they are surrounded by grass, I have no use for grass and its taken me over 20 years to get my husband to just not hate my gardens everywhere. I do need to just add more flowers as well. I can't seem to get hollyhocks to grow but marshmallow loves my gardens. Any tips on hollyhocks?
I’m a new subscriber to this channel and now I need to go back to watch the older video! Cheers.
watching these videos I realize my own garden is more than fit to have such a feature at thi spoint. more than. satisfies me.
Your garden is rich in fruits and vegetables, including flowers. I haven't detected any signs of pests in the garden, it's really nice to see the panoramic view of your garden, it's like a beautiful picture of a garden with a neat and careful arrangement.
What a lovely lady and the garden is amazing! 🥰
As a former commercial beekeeper, I still keep a lot of flowering plants, including trees and shrubs. Many of them are selected not only for the pollinators, but for being a host plant for butterflies. Adjacent to vegetable garden area is a 30'x40' butterfly garden, and one posts between them are numerous native bee houses to attract the native bee population.
I found an old mangel grater in an old barn. Mangel is what they call sugar beets in Canada at least. I was told you had to grate the beets for the livestock to be able to easily digest the beets. It had a big hand crank and rotating teeth inside.
Happy new year to all my friends across the pond! I have 5 hours to go!
I love volunteers, although sometimes they can get overwhelming and need to be thinned. You just never know what is going to pop up anywhere in the yard or garden with compost and birds spreading seeds in addition to them just dropping or catching a ride on a breeze. Such a lovely garden and so productive.
Gorgeous! Has me thinking about Spring before January arrives 😂
Perfect video to watch first thing in the morning. Gives me lots of hope for this new garden location I'm in my second season of working on.
Thankfully since I'm in the southern United States barely had a winter at all. It was supposed to snow today actually, but it's just rain.
I was surprised when I added flowers to my vegetable garden at how much activity bit brought in….and I feel like everything is better pollinated
I am amazed how you can have squash and poppies at the same time. Our summers are so hot, the poppies are long gone by the time squash is just starting. I love the flowers as well. Makes the soul happy 🥰
Thank you for producing content during this busy time of year hew!
Nice to see Saronne's garden. Looks good! Cheers Huw.
Interesting lady. She understands that covering her dirt completely creates amazing gardens!
This is really inspiring - I live in South Wales and am brand new to gardening, hoping to start in 2024 having started composting this year.
Your garden is beautiful, I wish mine could look that good!
How beautiful and encouraging😊, Dankeschön!
Lovely to see Saronne & her garden 😍
Charming.
We have flowers in all our gardens, too.
I also strew seeds in other places as the last task while putting the gardens to bed for the winter. It's fun to see what will come up.
Nice one lad, thanks for the content
Wow, what an inspirational grower, obviously I have now subscribed to Sow,Grow and Cook .
Great interview, thank you!
This garden is so dreamy ❤ I started adding flowers to my garden last year and will definitely be adding more this year!
What a beautiful and prolific garden ! Kudos !
Wow! Amazing 😍🌱🌿
Beautiful video 9likes
thanks for sharing
Enjoyed the garden walk.
Just lovely! A perfect way to start the day. I always have flowers among my veggies, but I’m trying to sneak in more.
subscribed!!
what amazing energy she has! wonderful garden! ❤
Saronne is always so interesting. I love her garden.
I am from a Latin American country and here no one knows what a tomatillo is. Beautiful gardens.
Do they call it green tomato? My Mexican daughter in law taught me how to use these.
Very enjoyable and informative vid on simple gardening practices that are both productive and fulfilling! Have just subbed to Saronne's Channel. Looking forward to watching future and past vids. Saronne's easy, calm manner is very relaxing for me! 🥰💪🍀
I follow Saronne and I love her garden and channel
Thank you ❤
Also love the seed to growing to plate path
Absolutely gorgeous garden ❤
Great update, loved it. My winter time (Cool season 30 degrees C) is my growing season for many vegetables. Unfortunately October/November has been unseasonably hot and I lost most of my seedlings, fortunately I managed to make a 2nd sowing, which are doing well :)
What a lovely gardener. Thank you for sharing.
Your garden is amazing!!!
Thank you ❤
She's done great work.
Beautiful!!!
Inspired to incorporate even more flower this year!❤
Looks amazing Sarone so glad Huw is putting on his channel. I grow loads of flowers among my veg. Happy New Year and 2024 growing season, Ali 🇨🇦
Thank you so much 😊
Beautiful ❤️
🐝 Thanks for the great video 💚 Great inspiration for new garden season
what a fantastic garden
That was lovely💕
Thank for shair good idea to gardening
Thanks for your video
Loved this 😁
I would love to see a video on a small garden consisting of wooden planter boxes and containers (which is what my garden in Cape Town attached to my flat consists of, along with numerous bougainvilleas, fruit trees and other flowers😮).
That's what I love about growing things, you don't necessarily need a plot of land :) I grow many things in pots even though I have a small farm.
@@tinkeringinthailand8147 Exactly, however I think I may be a bit over hopeful with my fruit trees in my planter boxes.
Really enjoy the series of garden visits, thanks Huw
Glad you like them!
I think you're amazing and I wanted to leave a comment that's not terrible because I have to counteract all of the other people in this comment section but I think you're great !
Lol! Thank you ❤
I don't see any hate comments, I mean how could someone hate such a nice garden. Maybe if they're jealous lol.
I love the aerial shots. Great video!
I love filming them!
Love this! So much inspiration, such a beautiful garden!
Thank you so much for watching Roisin!
@@HuwRichardswas the video filmed this month Huw?
@@thatgirlthatgrows oh no back in August 😂
@@HuwRichardsI did wonder 😅 stunning never the less
I would like having something like this as i'm living in Kent UK, but I have too many foxes inside my garden unfortunately, I can only probably create a giant enclosure with pallets, including a roof, as these seams climb very easily fences ad sheds, in fact couple of these animals sleeps on my shed roof all the time :)
Lovely video. I subscribe to Saronne's tube and have made her mixed bean and beetroot salad.Yum. I'm fortunate to have a random planted and natural flower border next to my allotment plot but I'm also gradually adding more flower areas amongst the veg. Up here on the Westmorland/Lancashire border it's probably even wetter than mid Wales?
Can’t imagine anywhere wetter than Midwest Wales. 😅
You are lovely and very fun to listen to. Your garden is wonderful I look forward to checking out sow grow and cook
Thank you 😊
In Africa the young leaves are tasty, I live in jamaica and tried those leaves.
Do you mean the squash leaves?
Oh she's lovely
😊👍
Huw we need a collab with Charles please sir😊
So much growing, it's beautiful but a bit much for a family. Do you sell at a market? I used to grow a lot but have scaled it way back. Saves time and resources so to speak.
I do a lot of canning, drying and freezing. Any surplus is shared with family, friends and the community.
Hi huw. I'm sorry I did ask a question on your disappearing video, but I didn't log on in time to see the response. Can I ask why the shop didn't do so well? Thanks stacey
Am i going nuts ? Did you upload a video today with the spicy moutache?? Now gone
I wish I _had_ 0.2 acres...
Seriously, I have more than most, with a gross area of 160yds² or 0.033 of an acre used for fruit & vegetables.
I can't afford to grow flowers & non essentials as every inch of space is needed for food (heck, I even have potato tubs on top of my compost bays...).
PLEASE can we have more content relevant to those who don't have masses of space available.
You can go verticle too with cumbers, beans etc. And pots are good for growing in with composting underneath your growing medium.
Diolch Huw am rhannu'r gerddi o Gymru i'r byd! 😊
Diolch am wylio Maria! :)
How big is the greenhouse
The upper tunnel is 14 x 30 feet, the lower one is 12 x 20 ft.
Lab x golden retriever?
Stella is a real mix of many breeds ( she’s a rescue). ❤
Yea! Another Hue video.
Giống bí ngo to thật.
You still need oil, butter, wheat.....you can't always live on greens.....
Of course not! But pointless trying to do EVERYTHING by yourself. Focus on what grows well in your climate, and source the last tidbits. Arguably you don't have to have wheat, and oil used to be in the form of tallow and butter etc back in the day
A garden without flowers is depressing. 🫣
Exactly! One quick way of adding flowers is just letting some of your veg run to seed: radish, leeks, kale, fennel etc. And growing already beautiful crops like runner beans helps too
@@HuwRichards my 3 year old son planted raddish last spring in our garden, we just let it grow and in autumn and winter he has loved poping open the seed pods and collecting them after they all flowered
A garden without flowers is a hedge
Many garden flowers are edible and attract a wide range of pollinators.
Plus they're lovely.
Agreed. I took on my new allotment in Feb and through all the sorting I had to do, I only had time for my veg. It was so frustrating! This year will be different 👊🏻
