A good tip I discovered is to take one of the Fox pollyballs and cut a shallow groove into the surface. Then cut a straight slit from the base of the groove to the centre borehole. Stick a couple of these in your pocket to deal with flying trebles. Just slide the trace into the slot and through to the centre bore hole then slide down onto the flying treble which will cover all three points and leave an obvious bright red ball so you know where the other hook is. If it's the bottom treble that's loose I recommend gripping it with the forceps as you slide the ball on the trace to avoid the unpleasant experience of sharing a snap tackle with an understandably grumpy Pike. Yes, I have and No, you don't want to.I It keeps hooks out of Nets,knees, hands ,Pike and everything else the evil little buggers like to get caught in. Cheap as well.
Brilliant & informative upload guys. But may I suggest having a practical teach in, if possible so anglers can actually learn practical skills whilst in the company of anglers that have years of experience.? The species are vital to balance a healthy population of fish in any venue.
