I love how not only do you say you hate a dress you explain exactly why. I’d really like to hear your thoughts on some plus size clothing some time! Until then, I’ll watch every reaction video of yours I can!
I had an October wedding, and I used Autumn colors as my inspiration. I gave my bridesmaids a selection of colors that fit my theme, and showed them the fabric I liked (a beautiful Duchess satin) and let them chose their own style of dress. My only request was that no one wear the same color, thankfully since all my bridesmaids has very different skin tones and coloring, no one even wanted to wear the same color. Sixteen years after my wedding, and my bridesmaids still tell me that I had be best bridesmaid dresses of our friend group.
Champagne is such a difficult color to fit for all skin types. It can show too yellow or wash someone out completely. Jewel tones always seem to look great on any skin type.
As someone who lives in the south, they can do long dresses. I know that at the time this show was filmed short dresses were more popular, but there just aren’t many cute short dresses. I personally REALLY don’t like them. I always hated how this show would find issues and really exacerbate them. The bride said she wanted long dresses, so they should try on long dresses. I always hated watching the sales associates get in the bridesmaids’ ears like “but do you WANT a long dress or do you want a SHORT dresssssssssss?” I know that it’s all for tv but YIKES.
FYI luke - when you're trying on a bridesmaid dress, you're just trying on to choose the style. then for your actual wedding they order the dresses in the color you've requested. so like the bride says she wants navy and the consultant will only pull dresses that come in navy, regardless of what color they have in store and the girls actually try on.
My mom has this super ugly bridesmaid dress from the 80s that is hot pink. It was shoved into the back of the closet and didn’t¡t make a reappearance until I used it in a Halloween costume.
"And I'm just saying,,,, as a Good Gay CatholicTM ,,, I never met anybody that was incredibly chic..." lmaoo i really felt that It really DO be like that
11:44 the colour is usually not the point in the bridesmaids edition of SYTTD. They just try on sample dresses in the colour they have in the store, but they usually come in multiple colours. So when the bride says 'I want navy blue', they let the bridesmaids try on dresses that come in navy blue, but they don't always have that shade at hand. The girls then try on the sample dresses for the fit, and the consultant shows the colour it comes in by pulling a different dress in that colour.
The pink in the second video is FAR TOO MUCH, these bridesmaids will not be able to rewear the dresses ever and the wedding photos will look far too busy
That one tall, slim blond bridesmaid made all the dresses look good - I could see her wearing hers again. The pink looked terrible on the second girl, great on the first.
They said at the beginning, the dresses will all be champagne or ivory. The pink is just to try on for the style. It's a sample dress that also comes in champagne but they don't stock every dress in every color and every size in the shop.
I had to wear the vagina dress for a wedding and I saw it, but I kept my mouth shut. It was in a light pink color :O It was actually much more noticeable when trying on than when they were properly altered and fitted.
I was married at 21, but my husband and I had been together since our sophomore year of high school and lived together for over two years before we tied the knot. Honestly, I can see why a lot of people don't like being married young, but for me, it's been a wholly positive experience.
As and Interior Designer I feel kind of disgusted at the lack of taste that one groom has 😂 also just a reminder that interior design is wayyyy more than just pillows. What Luke is describing is Interior Decorating.
yeah, not that I was crazy about any of the options she tried on, but it kind of seemed like she was more uncomfortable with her body than the specific dresses :'(
I was on her side until she started all that 'they made me' and giving that mean look like a scolded child. Even her acceptance of the dress was backhanded.
She came across very whiny and the type of person who would buy a bin bag dress to feel comfortable in. I feel like she's a much better person off camera because I can't imagine wanting to be friends with her if she was like this for everything.
no way they sell white bridesmaid dresses. i think there’s also a “special occasions” section where she must’ve taken it from bc it screams junior prom to me
So grateful my best friend let us vote on 3 dresses and we all chose the same one and looked like beautiful princesses right next to our queen, the bride.
To clear up also any potential confusion, the reason why the bridesmaids modeling the dresses aren't wearing the color the bride ask for is because those are sample dresses. Once the style is chosen, the color and sizes are then ordered. It took me a few episodes to realize that
They don't have every dress in all the available colours. They try on the dress and if they like it they will order it in the colour that they want for the wedding. There are probably samples of the different colours and fabrics from every designer.
At the very end, the champagne, the pale periwinkle, and the navy all looked so nice together color-wise. I was getting an ombre kind of progression with the colors next to each other, and while I never thought of that for a wedding before, I kind of like the idea. (I know that's not what they're going for, it just looks nice in the last frame. Maybe it's my monitor!)
....the first bride.....I used to kill time in mass judging people for wearing wedged flip flops, embroidered capri jeans, and hairstyles stuck in the 80s. Going to church is truly what instigated my interest in fashion lmaooo
As a bridesmaid, I honestly couldn't care Less what I wear, I just want the bride to tell me what They want, and to be happy. In my case, for my wedding I just gave my bridemaids a colour to aim for (dark teal ie green/blue), and to be not full length and not strapless. Tbh once even ended up in a full length and it didn't matter At all. All my grooms where mismatched too (how hard is it to wear a white shirt and black pants? 😅) but honestly I was so excited and nervous that I didn't even notice 😋
A few years back I had done the makeup of a bridal party for a wedding that happened to have two grooms. All of the girls had different dresses (which were different shades of purple too), they wanted different makeup, and different hair. They did not look like a cohesive set of bridesmaids at the end. Also it was very stressful having to do 6 completely different makeup looks. Never freelancing again.
30:03 OH MY GOD I JUST NOTICED THIS WHOLE MISMATCH OUTFIT SITUATION THEY HAVE GOING ON. They look like they put on the wrong pair on pants in the morning.
I did a really laid back backyard wedding because we didn’t have a whole lot of people to really invite so a venue wouldn’t make sense, and the rona so yeah but I let my bridesmaids wear whatever they want with a purple theme. They ended up wearing purple sun dresses of their choice, and the guys were black shorts, and pastel purple tuxedo shirts
Not sure if this show has terrible lighting, but these dresses are terrible. All of them. They are horrendous, there is no way around this
Is this show shot during the early 2000's? Who wears dresses like this now? All the dresses looked ugly and aged.

I think Kellie is the kind of person who would like nothing they had her try on.
yeah, not that I was crazy about any of the options she tried on, but it kind of seemed like she was more uncomfortable with her body than the specific dresses :'(
I was on her side until she started all that 'they made me' and giving that mean look like a scolded child. Even her acceptance of the dress was backhanded.
She came across very whiny and the type of person who would buy a bin bag dress to feel comfortable in. I feel like she's a much better person off camera because I can't imagine wanting to be friends with her if she was like this for everything.
I don’t know why she picked a dress she hated
I think Jesus is more into a toga drapey lifestyle 😂😂😂😂😂😂
“I like that she’s not naked” I need to use that at some point in the future 😂
Only 23??? The confidence and knowledge made me think around 26. You're killing it and I feel sad about myself now lol
no way they sell white bridesmaid dresses. i think there’s also a “special occasions” section where she must’ve taken it from bc it screams junior prom to me
Missed your closet tour reaction videos!
definitely have one coming up!! don’t you worry 😘
I feel sad for Kelly, they made her wear very unflattering dresses yet made up her mind in the end for the grooms. She deserved better.
"Christ-centered relationship.." Me: "*dry heave*
The only white gay in my books
So grateful my best friend let us vote on 3 dresses and we all chose the same one and looked like beautiful princesses right next to our queen, the bride.
I live for him reacting to Bridesmaids dresses because he just doesn't hold back and I love that
To clear up also any potential confusion, the reason why the bridesmaids modeling the dresses aren't wearing the color the bride ask for is because those are sample dresses. Once the style is chosen, the color and sizes are then ordered. It took me a few episodes to realize that
You take the thing about slits back! They are honestly the thing that makes long tighter dresses comfortable. (And you’ll be able to run if you want)
Dear Luke, please do a commentary on bridesmaid dresses in the bridal shop scene from the movie Bridesmaids!
I love this series, watching you dragging people is very therapeutic I must say 🥰
You're facial expression during the scenes with the gay couple, lol 😂
"As long as Jesus helps you find a good wedding dress and bridesmaids dress, im down" crying
Tawana was giving body.
Does anyone else feel like they need a Luke to help them pick out dresses when we're ready to plan our wedding? Because I DO.
half an hour? watching you? Sign me up
Luke, you're just the best! You give me the biggest chuckles. I love that you can roast the dresses but still be kind to the people wearing them. 🤗
The fact that Luke already from the beggining lowered his expectations soooo much
Luke - your look was so timelessly cool even four years later! Your manner has developed from improv fun to wonderfully smooth and classy today!
Being a FASHIONISTA and having pretty normal friends i love being able to diva-out on this channel. We have never not agreed on everything hahah
Me, too young to get married and inept on fashion trends: ya like what were they thinking
I wish we weren’t in a pandemic cause I’d love to see: “A Fashion critic reviews the south”
Yass! Not gonna lie, your SYTTD content is my favorite! We stan.
"I can't even live harmoniously with myself." That is a mood
I'M SEEING A VAJAYJAY as well
I LOVE your reactions to the Say Yes To The Dress series whether bridesmaids or wedding dresses! Please do more in the future!❤️
