Slash is so effin awesome, he compliments every singer he plays with. He is such a true musician, you know he loves what he does, and it's never about the money. A lot of guitar players seem out for self glory, just because you can run up and down the fret board at lightening speed, doesn't make you the best, if your audience cant feel any thing, then what's the point. "SFFS"
I LOVE Andrew Stockdale. His vision, riffs, his voice, how his vocals are like an untamed beast that always encapsulate you yet can surprise you. GREAT choice Slash.
This song has it all - and what an awesome version this one is! I love how slash takes the song from a gentle melody at 2:50 then slowly builds before he tears your head off at 3:17 with a switch of pick-ups and a mind blowing finish to his solo. I could listen to this over and over all day. Absolutely AWESOME!
This is probably my favourite song Slash has written since his GNR departure. I Love the dynamic structure, the tones, mood, light n heavy, but I've never loved the vocal live on this song. I do like it on record but, I've always felt it needed a heavier vocalist. One who could call upon different tones and dimensions for this song. Also, more blues vocal feel... I'm hearing a Coverdale and Paul Rogers type vocal dynamic changes and tones. What I really wanna say is that I can sing this in the style I wanna hear it in and I AM going to do this tune!!! I Love it Slash.
Great song! What a performance, stellar job! I love that guys voice too, what a singer. Talk about recreating the sound live from the album, these guys were fresh from the studio.
I love how even though the old gnr is long gone and they have all moved on you guys still argue about how good or bad axl is on a video that isn't related to axl at all
If its my last act in this life, I'm going to learn to play this song and countless others made timeless by my man Slash. Slash's music is the perfect blend between Rock n' Roll and Blues. He's a legend. Guitar would not be what it is without Saul "Slash" Hudson.
Andrew looks like a mix between Justin Timberlake and Shaggy from Scooby Doo.. other than that he's an amazing singer, his voice is just out of this world.
This is the song that I play every time I ride into battle* * and by riding into battle I mean when I have to present a powerpoint that I don't believe in and that I cobbled together at the last minute. I am talking about life and death here folks
Andrew sounds exactly the same live. Fucking hell he's fucking awesome
Adam and all vocalists on that album were amazing! And Slash kicked ass off as usual !!
true
Great track all the way through mate 😊
Got to admire slashes tone n melody asked for people to come and sing humble . But the singers fitted and took the tracks to another level .
I'm a big fan of slash but how great is the vocalist? DAMN
listen to Wolfmother
He's the Wolfmother lead
Actually he's not even in tune... He's screamin like a goat, even Axl is better... And Axl can't sing!! Myles Kennedy for life
@@connorjames1553 Idiot
@@connorjames1553 "tone death" lmao
Theres no difference with the studio version ... What a voice !
There is! I know that it's a really difficult song in terms of pitch but he was still off in certain parts. I am just nitpicking here :P
@@kevivtawar7716 yeah your really nitpicking
You're kidding right?
The acoustic guitar intro…
I mean the vocal is realy good..
Severus is ALWAYS on the drums.
*7 years later*
- After all this time?
- Always.

@@shadextr Yep, it's the one of the best composition album ever of him. A hundred percent of feeling on it
This is one of the great rock songs of the last 20 years. This rocks.
Agreed! So underrated I come back and watch this video every month or so
I LOVE Andrew Stockdale. His vision, riffs, his voice, how his vocals are like an untamed beast that always encapsulate you yet can surprise you. GREAT choice Slash.

been listening to this song a million times since it first came out. still one of my favourites.
Andrew is phenomenal live... looks kind of goofy just standing there but. rocks!
He's missing a guitar really badly. Watch James Hetfield playing with Queen, it's even funnier than Andrew
The vocalist sounds like he is heavily influenced by Robert Plant
+Alex Armenta It's the singer from WolfMother
Sounds a little bit like Axl too
also reminds little bit on the legend Freddy Mercury
Alex Armenta
Yup he is!
Alex Armenta
He is the vocalist of a three-piece Australian bAnd called Wolfmother, he's a good guitar player too!
Huuuum ... A nice solo, with a beautiful old Gibson, and a guitarist like Slash, is ... Amazing, just amazing ... Slash, you ROCK !
My favourite song when I was a teenager and this album came out. Blew all my cars speakers blasting this with my mates
Esse vocalista é tudo!!!! Fizeram e jogaram a forma fora!!! Maravilhoso canta p/ caralho!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I keep coming back to this. Simply fantastic.
Escuto até hoje!! Mesca coisa do que nos estúdios

wow, is he using his 59 les paul? if so, then this song must be special to him
Boyet Ocampo That's not an actual 1959 Les Paul. This is one of his copies from a famous luthier. If it was a real 59' he wouldn't have modded it.
Its a Gibson replica of the 1986 Derrig Les Paul copy
That's not the 59 but yes, this is a special song to him, because it's about him hahahah
He's also playing off the top pickup to make it sound like wolfmother
What a powerful voice... something that is worth to watch
That solo was PERFECT
Slash sempre tem uma performance incrivel, ele é igual vinho, qto mais o tempo passa, melhor ele fica!!! Junior Slash - Curitiba - PR - Brasil
Como quisiera que slash tocara en houston!!
singer is freaking awessommmmmmmmmmme !!!!!!
This songs absolutely rocks. For long time GNR fans who didn't like Axl's new direction, this song is exactly what we need.
Great song! What a performance, stellar job! I love that guys voice too, what a singer. Talk about recreating the sound live from the album, these guys were fresh from the studio.
The drummer is also playing the guitar
Not many can sound the same live. Awesome
Andrew god damn. the things I'd do to get a singer like that on my band.
Absolutamente sensacional essa música! Slash se supera mais uma vez ....
That' what I call an awesome live performance.
I love how even though the old gnr is long gone and they have all moved on you guys still argue about how good or bad axl is on a video that isn't related to axl at all
pop123410 this comment was obviously made years ago ...gnr is on tour rn with slash lmao
Andrew Stockdale shines on this one.
And Slash's solo ....oh, boy.... the way it starts slow and smooth and then gains in intensity.
Great song.
This is a great track from an awesome album 👍👍👍👍👍

You can tell a great band by how they sound on stage...and baby these guys are great! Slash is figgin awesome! Oh and Axl, Slash doesn't need YOU!
Stockdales voice is fucking awesome
3:18 .... Everytime Slash turns his guitar in vertical position.... No one and nothin' can stop him... =)
Killer vocals... I mean fuckin killer. Who needs acoustics? Not this cat! And Slash.... well I am speechless.
I just keep coming back here...This is a fuckin masterpiece...What a performance.
I love, and I mean LOVE this song. What a great performance.
This is superb.
Wow, Slash was using the Appetite guitar! :O
They made replicas of it for him in 2010, he uses them a lot these days
love the song love the singer, absolutely perfect for this song. Slash did a great job with this guy from mother wolf.
This is what severus does on his off time! 🎸🤘
This song is just PERFECT!! A contest should be set between this one and another one by Pink Floyd. I bet the outcome wouldn't be expected..
such a quality instrument that slash plays.......!!
slash the best forever
Wicked Rock and roll voice.
Yesss Slash put all your emotions in that solo❤❤❤❤❤
my favorite part of the solo 3:30
Yes!
This song was compound by Stockdale!!
He looks like Rainn Wilson and sounds like Robert Plant. That's awesome. Kkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Énorme j’adore
@farsaber It's an '88 Les Paul standard that was aged when he first got it. =)
That is one hell of a performance! Amazing! Still looking out for the next Wolfmother album
Andrew Stockdale, pure genius!
veneno puro...o cara mais vintage dos últimos 30 anos (Stockdale) e um dos últimos guitarhero com feeling
Gooood song
Slash is playing off the top pickup on that Gibson... To make it sound like wolfmother
Andrew looks like a mix between Justin Timberlake and Shaggy from Scooby Doo.. other than that he's an amazing singer, his voice is just out of this world.
After 13 years and still fkin awesome

* and by riding into battle I mean when I have to present a powerpoint that I don't believe in and that I cobbled together at the last minute. I am talking about life and death here folks
