Thanks Slash, for bringing a greater awareness of the Blues to a broader audience. I've been playing the blues harp for over 40 years, & have extensively studied Robert Johnson. I appreciate that you, Slash, are making more people aware of his great legacy. Please keep delving deeper into the blues greats like Dave Honeyboy Edwards, Son House, & T-Bone Walker. You're making important music, Slash! All the Best, ~ Greg Gordon 🎵

This is not a Crossroads Blues cover from Robert Johnson, this is a Cream/Clapton Crossroads cover(Which was a cover of original Crossroads Blues) Nothing bad about it but the credits should go to them especially if you're playing this riff Slash.
When he says ‘this is the way we do it’ it sounds awfully like the way Cream/Clapton did it (until he slows it down mid track) even the intro was almost a copy. Not saying it negatively. It’s a great track but clearly can see where they took inspiration from through the track.
Clapton has done loads of versions. Slash has always ripped off Clapton, especially the Derek and the Dominoes live album. The version of Crossroads from that album is a really laid back groove. (Also some all time great guitar playing across the whole thing for anyone that hasn't listened to it.)
It is. But, it's a generalized way of playing. You have to stand out to make it. I'm not saying you have to be mediocre or bad( like Kurt Cobain) but different. slash was one of the few who were different but good. The only guitarists which were different and stood out for me were slash George lynch Ritchie Blackmore Eddie Carlos Santana David Gilmour ..one or two notes..and you it's them.. I'll rate Ritchie highly cuz he was the one who paved the way. He was the one who introduced all the exotic scales and fast playing etc.
Slash, using an L-00, those strings, that sound tech and with that style of playing, all in combination, was the wrong choice for this. Context my friend.
Appreciate the effort. The Piezo crap sound of the guitars is not worth this version. Capture a better sound with either full electric guitars or properly mic acoustic guitars. The sonics of this track are trash.
I disagree! It works well, but the sound engineer clearly didn’t do a great job - maybe it worked in the room, but not for the recording on this video. It might also be poor post production editing too. I’ve heard Slash play this live elsewhere on RUclips, and it was SO much better sounding. Can’t fault the player for the sound engineer’s poor recording setup and/or bad editing in post production.
Slash had better stick to electric guitars. What is that sound out of that box he's playing? At least the singer's guitar sounds vaguely like an acoustic.
What a jam! Slash is the man.

I thought you might enjoy this one. Not many of us true, blues lovers left.
Now Slash has finally emancipated from his former impersonation to one of the really great guitar-players of all time. And the band really rocks.
That guys voice is great. Slash has so much soul man. His vibrato is just as nasty on acoustic.
One of the best guitarists alive.

Slash said that "their" version is the Cream Version and a Cover of the Cream Version when he dropped the Blues Album.
Just how they jam with their friends with the tune. Similar to my jams at home with buddies

The singer is good 👍
Not bad, not bad
Ralph Macchio would be proud.
Blues with a widdle
Has a bluegrass feel more than blues
Good. Sounds like Cream's version.
Chaos.
Choosing God's dreams over the echo of screams from the demons of seased.
While i love this, i would like to see Slash play seven spanish angles on Willy's guitar trigger.
Robert...
Does sound like Eric Clapton’s version.
🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🥰
Clapton's version.
🛹🛹🛹
Nice. Ay yo i see a conspirator. Conspiriting.

Pass
The other guy is better than slash lol
Guess you make more money than slash with your music 🤓
Guitar high, glasses low :D
🤣esti que leurs guitares sonnent le plastique
I saw a bass player… didn’t hear it. Probably would have helped.
Too frappy on the accoustic sound.
Sounds like me.
And I sound like shit

Congratulations Slash, you're now a part of the museum of crap. 😊
I think Slash is not the best blues guitar player at this video...hahahah
уралбайкерблюз
SLASH, can he play acoustic Blues ?!? HAHAHA Where do yo think the Rock and Metal came from......OF COURSE he CAN. LOLOL.....it's SLASH !!! 🤣😎🧐😂
Funniest guitarist.slah/😂😢😅
Slash playing style doesn't fit guitars, that is not plugged in. Everything has to be so fast half the tones disappear.

@MashaT22 i heard him live and me misses a lot of tones.
That is his style of playing.
He's literally not hitting the notes. Left hand and right hand are not in sync !!!
Slash can do no wrong
@@jacobm-d7g slash does a lot of wrong, but that is what makes him HIM 😊

😂😂😂
Seems a cat screaming ... poor Robert..
Bad mix
😒🤮
Sorry sounds like twiddle twiddle to me.I’m a blues fan.
