Ice King's backstory was both a massive plot twist and a heartbreaker. Especially when you consider that his obsession with marriage may come from his residual memories with Becky.
"Princess Cookie" always stuck out to me as one of the more disturbing episodes. It's portrayal of mental illness is play really straight, and I feel like it was handled with the most respect possible.
My grandfather died of Alzheimer’s last year, and when he was first diagnosed he wrote me a letter (I was 8 at the time) trying to explain what was happening to him, and apologizing for anything he did when he had lost it. I decided to rewatch Adventure Time this year, and ended up crying while watching Remember You because Simon’s letter was so similar.
Ice King and Marceline were the ones who had the deep and serious moments. Those two had it rough since the Mushroom War. Not to mention poor Marceline, her mother died of radiation poisoning and so much more happened when she was abandoned by Simon, who left her to protect her from the curse of the Ice King.
So it Finn. Finn was separated from his parents for years and was adopted by Jake's parents. Finn has been through alot. Especially the time he lost his arm. And later Jake died before Finn did of old age
I'm surprised sentimentality and whatever Ash did didn't make it in. I keep thinking of Marceline and her attachment to her old stuffed toy Simon gave her. She was willing to go to hell and back to retrieve it after Ash sold it to a witch. And Bubblegum was willing to trade her favorite rock shirt Marceline gave her just to see Marceline be happy again. Also thinking about the episode where Ash tried to manipulate Marceline by erasing her memory of their breakup
I Absolutely feel so sorry and sad for the characters of *Adventure Time.* Finn Martins, Jake the Dog, Princess Bubblegum, Marceline Abadeer, Ice King, you name it. They all are going through some Super Tough Situations and Stressful times. It breaks my heart. 😔😞😟😢💔
This show is my childhood, too bad it ended too soon. But anyways, happy thursday afternoon Ms Mojo, take care and God bless you. Greetings from Colombia to you as well.
Some of Adventure Time episodes are really disturbing, especially the one where Princess Cookie commits suicide. It just seems disturbing to me how many dark topics they have covered in AT.
Is Jake the most luckiest character in this series with him having morphing powers, finding love with lady Raincorn, starting a family and staring a new breed of pups who made the candy kingdom their own kingdom 1000 years later?
I can relate to Marceline a lot when it came to feeling like I’m too much for people or that I’m needy and I let it ball up and start drama over it but luckily I just let those people go and move on and worked on myself more let myself be more happy and I’m proud of myself for letting go of those insecurities.
What do you think is the worst thing to happen to Finn between losing Flame princess or losing his arm? What do you think he would be like if all of that never happened to him?
