      I mean dude at this point I will never “need” another gun. Heck I’ve owned nearly 300 guns and traded or sold so many over the years to consolidate and/or buy higher priced guns and currently own about 81 guns. I’ll never “need” another but certainly want more so here we are telling ourselves we don’t need them but will do it anyway and feel guilty about it until the next purchase lol. Indeed, the *Walther PDP Pro SD* is the finest do-it-all handgun. I bought a Herrington Arms compensator, and it made a huge difference in shooting flatter, with less flipping. The PDP Pro is one of my top favorite handguns. Great review!

      Thank you, sir. It was a great pistol. Don’t get me wrong and I put a ton of money in that thing changing out the sites, putting a optic on it also purchasing three different recoil springs from ZR tactical at a cost of $75 a pop and although it Function flawlessly it just was not a good fit for me for some reason. I just could never shoot well with it and with time I’m sure I could have but I just became aggravated with how much money I had in it so I sold it for about $400 loss. I’m sure you’ve been there before and just are done with something. With that being said the guy that I sold it to absolutely loves it and tells me as much all the time.

    PDP is an excellent handgun, and the pro sd model is the best of them. I’ve got a PDP compact 5” that’s a tack driver and a f-series 4” that’s really good as well. In my opinion the PDP is the best striker fired 9mm handgun available in the compact to full size category

    If you trust your grip, the “muzzle flip” is really all mental. In that you cannot shoot the gun while it’s cycling anyway, and the muzzle is going to settle back to the same exact spot every time. So thinking that you need to double check that the muzzle flip hasn’t thrown your sight picture out of alignment isn’t necessary. I’ve found if you squeeze more with bottom two fingers than top two, that’s the leverage point to counteract muzzle rise.
    It’s a snappier gun, no denying that, but trusting your grip and a DPM guide rod will help.

  • @emf5338

    Just bought this gun myself and have the same gripes you do, the plastic sights & guide rod. Walther has a tungsten guide rod I may try, although I don’t want it to be too heavy, so may change my mind and stick with stainless steel. Which do you prefer? Thanks or your info...Great video

      I just wasn’t a fan of the Walther. No upgrade I made, made me a fan I just didn’t like it and wasn’t a good shot with it. With that said folks mostly seem to adore it and it never gave issues. I have a staccato p xl and reviewed a C2 this year as well. Great guns but not worth the price tag. Shadow Systems make super reliable and accurate clones and can often be found for $300 off asking price but they are mostly just to snappy to be considered fun or a range toy. Canik has always been good to us but people seem to have issues with them so they say. All of ours has been great fun and reliable at the range and priced good. If I was choosing a 9mm for fun at the range but also carryable (which is hard to find. Kinda like making a hoe a housewife). You either get a hoe or get a wife but not usually both. But the closest I could get you would be CZ Shadow 2 Compact OR. Thanks for watching and I hope that you have subscribed

    How does the PDP PRO SD FULL SIZE compare to the VP9 Tactical OR? Both are polymer striker fired guns with threaded barrels, suppressor height sights, and optics cut? Build quality, standard equipment, recoil, ergo, trigger, accuracy, etc..

    • @GSquaredTactical
      @GSquaredTactical  9 месяцев назад +1

      I (Gene) don’t believe there is much difference between the 2. Both have similar if not same grip profiles or feel in the hand, I put a flared magwell on my H&K, build quality does seem a little better on the H&K which is weird because they are basically the same German gun. The Walther has a much better trigger, and recoil is subjective really can’t tell a difference. I shot more accurately with the H&K but also had to buy a right hand thread adapter to suppress the H&K which sucks as I didn’t with the Walther. I’d give the H&K the edge but I admittedly am a little partial towards H&K. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already

    I just picked up a full size PDP Pro SD, and really like it. I'm 59 and my vision is failing (I'm farsighted now) and I didn't shoot it as well as I'd have liked the first time (ammo-shortage, I only had 50 rounds to use), but I've come to realize it's because the front sight was TOTALLY blurry. I also did a lousy job of shooting my buddy's rifle with iron sights. I put my Wiley X safety bifocals on and looked at the sights in my house, and I should have used those at the range. My plan is to put a Trijicon RCR on it since I LOVE the SRO I have on my PPQ .45. My Olde eyeballs just don't work well anymore, they work fine with optics though, so, I'll have to go that route. I have EOTechs on all my long guns (even my Komrad) and love them. I really liked shooting the PDP and hope to get more range time soon now that I have some ammo. Really like the trigger, big slide serrations, and grip texture vs the PPQ.
