Survival Lilly will you marry me?
survail lily will you marry me?
You rock Lilly .. love your video's always interesting.
Well, that escalated quickly.
Taught my family about the value of burdock roots back in the 80's and we foraged them from the wild in the most precarious places. There was a huge patch growing in the neighboring county and we harvested about 4.5kg or 10 lbs from a county park without being noticed. We also harvested field mushrooms from the same park. I miss doing this stuff.
Water LILLy 🌷
Lily jedes Video mit Ihnen in kurzen Hosen ist eine große Video. lol wie immer Sie einen tollen Job gemacht haben. Danke.
Hi lilly, I am A bit of a survivalist as well, living in New York state, USA, I am 30 miles north of NYC, but it is all forest where i live, lakes, rivers, fishing, hiking, camping. Thank you for sharing your videos, I have watches so many of them already and have learned some new things. Wish I could find a woman her that was like you!! Thanks again
Jon
Another great video Lily! Thanks for sharing with us.
Thank you for showing the entire plant. Keep 'em coming Lily you are the Best.
great video Lilly , keep up the good work
Very entertaining & educational. Nice to see you having a good time enjoying the outdoors skinny-dipping and trying new things. My type of gal !
Thankyou for another great post!
Thanks for this informative video. These are abundant in my local area. This is something that I am definitely going to have to try.
Thank you Lilly for sharing another great video. Take care.
Very beautiful, smart and wonderful knowledge. Rock on Lilly!
Thanks Lilly , I didn't know about the burdock root .
I hear that the burdock shoot are very good and tasty .
Next time wrap the roots in the leaves, then roast. It's softer and more delicate taste. The bad thing about burdock, if you eat a lot it tends to give gas and causes to pass wind (farts). You might check out Japanese and Asian channels for cooking recipes, burdock has been a large part of the Asian diet. Very good video.
These videos are great. Subbed, thanks for taking the time to teach all of us your skills. btw, I love that dog!
Wonderful display of solid foraging and wild edible! the root of Burdock would not have crossed my mind, thx 4 sharing another great demo + tutorial, Lisa
Someone gave you some great advice! ;) Loved the video, as always. Keep up the good work!
This is one of the creepiest comment sections I have ever seen. Seriously, Jesus...
Good videos, though.
+Kerman Guy Right? Every single video.
+Nikki Reese It's fucking annoying, they either have to white knight every little thing, be generally creepy or patronize her because she's a woman. Neckbeards should just chill and enjoy the vids.
Loving your videos, keep them coming!!! :-)
Beautiful video Lilly...your dog is awesome.
Fantastic viseos on cattails, burdock, and grasshoppers. reminds me of the Army and my time spent in Germany, Be blessed.
Thanks Lilly. Good info. Burdock grows here also, and I need to try it.
Nice video Lilly! Thanks for the info on Burdock and wild edibles! Was surprised to see Water Lilly-not since you traveled up North! And Dax with the frog was awesome!! Ha!
Lilly. I don't know why I haven't subscribed till now. I love your content. I have learned more from you than most of the 'other survival channels'
Love you, Lilly!
That's some beautiful scenery!
Very niaaaaze! I gotta get on my foraging game! Thanks for sharing Lilly.
wow this is so cool Lilly! i didn't know you could eat that either!?!? i have some of that in my back yard as well as cattail lol! you should totally make us more videos on plants you can eat or or make into a tea or something. its pretty good to know about all that. never know when it will come in handy! great vids i admire you for everything you do. you are one brave lady lol. keep up the great vids!
Great video, would never have thought about roasting them. Keep up the good work. Like the blowtorch lighter too.
I love the video and you and Dax had plenty of fun, especially in the water. That is what he loved to be in anyway, and the plant does look nice to eat and I will be looking to see if we have any like that here that is eatable. The root is looking so nice and edible too and I would be eating it if I had to.
Burdock is definitely one of the deepest and most work of the edible roots especially with a digging stick. They love rocky and gravel soils which makes it even harder but worth it in a survival situation. I cheat with a tomahawk so I can dig out the whole root. Makes it a ton easier which is to say still hard. Very popular in Japan where it is called Gobo and eaten in stirfry. Nice video lilly.
Wow what a great channel. Thanks for the tips.
Thanks for the awesome video.
I really enjoy watching your videos
awesome video lilly! You made me laugh with the swim.
LG Sven
Hi wanted to say that. What you are doing is great... And I am going to practice your teachings and hopefully one day be half as good as you in ruffling the elements..... You are teaching the world an important skill. And I just wanted to say I am a fan and keep up the good work
Great video Lilly...
Fantastic video. I would use the large leaves like cabbage and stuff them!
Burdock roots are popular food in japan .I am regrowing the top of root from kitchen scrap. It is interesting for me .So scond-year plants make flowers bloom, and get seeds.Thank you.
Bravo!

Lilly!! Adoro ver seus vídeos !! 🇧🇷
The river dax portion was very funny.... I knew there was a use for this plant....
I stay continually amazed.
Those videos are cool and amazing please do more videos
Best video yet! My favorite. Do you carry extra glasses in your rucksack?
thanks
Dandelion and burdock pop/beer is very nice
Great vid as always!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have a fizzy drink in England called Dandelion and Burdock. It's a weird drink. Now I know where the Burdock parts comes in. Thanks Lilly :-)
you can shred the root with a knife with some of the skin still on, and cook it in a bit of soy sauce and mirin along with carrots, or cook it in stew with whatever game meat you can find, and it tastes really good. google "gobo recipes" and there are plenty of Japanese cuisine recipes on burdock root.
Burdock and Rhubarb are related plants. Rhubarb is generally cultivated or planted as a landscape or garden plant. Burdock is usually close by. They look close alike but rhubarb has red stems. The rules are opposite for the plants. Stems only for rhubarb and leaves and roots only for burdock. The poison aspect is the same. If the Burdock plant has a flower it is more than one year old and will have larger roots.
you can eat the stock of burdock too, its not poisonous. Peel it and give it a boil. butter salt pepper
grooovy little cooking method lilly! more edibles!
Thank you.
cool stuff :)
Great vid.
Try raising the seat on your bike about 10 centimeters and you'll get a better pedaling cadence/efficiency. Basically you want your leg to almost fully extend.
Burdock is also a medicinal plant, please do more of these videos ,edible plants and medicinal plants,
with a water source nearby, i would have boiled the burdock roots instead of roasting. ensures its cooked throughout making it more palatable, as well as provide you with a nice mild burdock tea drinking the broth
What a great way to get some extra rating.. I approve. :)
Great video Lilly, think some of the guys watching should try shedding some of their bushcraft gear from time to time and enjoy a cool down. Exhila.....rating!
Great ! will you continue Lilly vs Wild episodes ?
Could you do a video on how to make survival tools out of what is around you like sticks, stones, and other things like that. Also you are awesome.
Ter ocontato com a natureza é muito bom
thanks for your video and info that the leaves are edible. I buy the root at the market and put it raw in my salad. Now I will try roasting it. I admire your skills.
Nice channel , Nice video!
It is illegal to pick Burdock in the U.K. unless you have explicit permission from the landowner. On the other hand it is still legal to shoot a Welshman from the walls of Chester castle as long as you use a bow and it's before 2 in the afternoon. Gotta love England
wtf?
I know it's ridiculous but in Engand our laws are very old and sometimes they dont catch up. I was wrong aboutr the times it is legal to shoot but shoot you can! Not sure how it would stand in court but........ www.wearetheenglish.com/did-you-know
And the burdock law.... www.selfsufficientish.com/main/2011/07/foraging-for-burdock-and-burdock-recipes-gobo-recipes/
R1ckyfrankl1n, grow up and get that huge chip off your shoulder
David Wardle what are you on about you dumbass?
Can only imagine stumbling on that water hole to find a skinny dipping surprise :D
Good video.
Good stuff Lilly... I'll eat Burdock when I come across it but I would have to agree with you, Cattail is much better tasting and in my area much more prevalent.
As always... thanks for the video and nicely done.
Cool video Lilly. Thanks for sharing the info about foraging for Burdock root. I think I would rather eat cattails, more meaty pulp and less fibers. :)
froggy guards the camp when dax isn't there. lol😂
Nothing like a dip in a cool stream to take the edge off a hot day. ;-)
Hi Lilly,
I expected the burdock to have larger root, as you said better if there was cattail around. Try with burdock roots and the cattails to cook them between two flat rocks wrapping the tubers in the leaves, so the ‘boil’, they will be much more edible.
Take care
Interesting. This plant is not found in my area, but I have seen it elsewhere. Good information. Prost.
I really like the taste of burdock roots, I have lots growing in my area but they can be a pain to dig up at times. Thanks for sharing this video.
+Paul Sheils how to tell the difference between burdock and belladonna.
+Coconut Eater They are very different looking plants, easy to tell apart. What you don't want to do is eat any burdock that has belladonna growing near it as belladonna roots can impart some very nasty stuff to the burdock roots. Always follow the plant down to the root, don't just chop and dig at random and if you're not sure, don't risk it.
can you eat the root raw or you have to roast it ? just wonder :))
love me some dandelion and burdock
Hello Lilly..How did you learn about edible plants? Also what plant family does the Burdock comes from? Thanks again Lilly
I love to local bush food cuisine videos!!! - please keep 'm coming - I love to learn how to live of the land.
Can you tell us a bit more about the calories or KJ these plants provide?
Lol what a great video I said this on one other video of yours but I am still learning how to do all this
Ótimo vídeos
you can also stir fry them with some oil and chili oil and flakes"chili", for a few minutes over the fireit isgood with wild or white rice.
Lol that was funny when your dog was chasing the frog
thanks lilly never heard of budock , what's a good reference guide for edibles i've seen a few but none are complete any suggestion's?
The leaves also make for good bathroom tissue when dropping a deuce.. :-)
a lot of these wild foods are really fibrous, like the nettle root and Burdock root, longer cooking would help the toughness. boiling if possible would be even better. I am appreciative of your wild food videos, since I have known several of these were food sources, but didn't know what part to eat. thanks Lilly, you are fab.
Dax and the from that was hilarious.
These are really great plants. They grow where I live in Canada, but I believe they are native to the Old World. I remember when we were children we used to throw the seeds at each other because they stick like Velcro. That was long before I read about eating them though. ;D
:-) cool stuff friend
Nice vid. couple of things: 1) It is good to use high tech devices- pocket lighters are one of them-as long as the are durable. Another item might be a high quality bi or monocular. 2) picking wild edibles are great but try to distance your foraging from active roadways or cultivated fields sprayed with pesticides.
MORE (caps woops) bugout camp plz
you know the bordock work great for the hand drill
I have so much of this growing around me. I love and enjoy eating cattails, but I haven't tried burdock. What else should we know? Blessings!
in ireland we call them dock leaves
Thank you for the swim/bathing shots !!! Nice !
Lilly your name stands for
Loyal
Incredible
likable
legendary
youthful
***** =)
Lilly it is important that you do not let Dax eat toads, toads are usually brown and have rough skin but they are poisonous. Frogs are usually smooth, slimy and green. My childhood dog ate a toad and became very ill so she died.
Lilly, what type of backpack is the one you're wearing in this video?
Lilly ,
Cool das du alles machst und so
Und wie hast du das mit deinen hund hinbekommen das er nicht abhaut
Und bei dir bleibt in der Nacht
