    You know Lilly is confident in her skills when she says, "Let's start a quick fire," and she does it with a bow drill! Starting to make the ferro-rod users look like wussies, lol. Nice quick video -- but you'll have to fight the woodpeckers and nuthatches for those grubs under tree bark.

    for all you wondering large grubs are normally maggots in carcasses and they're often treated as something to kill and not something to eat. even i wouldn't eat one but i would if there wasn't much other form of foods

    Excellent video. And as some have said before, you are one tough lady. I know men and women who would rather starve than cut the head off a fish, so the idea of eating a grub, raw or roasted would be beyond them. Although in many cultures past and present all kinds of bugs are eaten everyday as part of a normal diet not as a last resort.

    A brave video! But I think the amount of time it takes to gather them proportionate to actual calories is much inferior to hunting or trapping. Think of how many grubs you'd need to substitute a rabbit or a deer, when it would be more efficient to spend the time towards the hunting these animals instead.

    • @danielmills1661
      @danielmills1661 8 лет назад

      eat them raw

    • @TheElvenArcher
      @TheElvenArcher 7 лет назад +3

      yeah but you don't need anything but your hands to get grubs and they don't try to run away or fight back either. also the amount of preparation and work to process an animal means less time to work on other things like shelter and fire. it would be nice to get a brace of rabbits in a survival scenario but it would be much easier to get a bunch of grubs. you can wander around for ten minutes and get a whole handful of them then eat them right away or cook them all the while expending nearly zero calories and without the need for any tools or hunting weapons. if you have a rifle by all means bag a deer but be prepared for hours of hard work until its ready to eat.
