This song captures the transition between Cheshire Cat to Dude Ranch in the same way Mutt did for DR to EOTS. It's a great song; it's got the more mainstream sound with the rawness of the early days within it.
+Looktowardsthesky Agreed. Whenever it becomes Mark and Travis vs. Tom it becomes really hard to believe anything Tom says. Mark and Travis seem like such level headed cool guys, while Tom has seemed kind of out there post 2002.
James Bayly Seriously? Tom just wants to enjoy making music he likes and his taste has changed. He’s 40 years old and doesn’t want to keep singing about being a teenager. He’s a grown up. And he still makes music. And if you’ve seen a lot of the videos of them in their last shows tour for Self titled they fought a lot, which is hard to get over after a while. Mark and Travis kicked Tom out basically this time since he wasn’t making music they liked so they said he left and put Matt in. He was surprised and was confused. I feel like a failure of a blink-182 fan. My favorite band of all time. Started playing guitar. Have all their albums, but I only just discovered this song today! Wtf?!
This was literally the song of the summer for me, last summer holiday! Everyday I'd listen to this whilst skating or when I was out with my mates! Happy times ;)
Lyla G if you look online (specifically eBay) you can get this EP on a 7 inch colored vinyl! Still sucks it’s not on any streaming service but maybe someday..
A Szymanski a true, I meant digitally, specifically. Even back in the 2000s I remember this not being on the iTunes Store (along with a lot of other things). The live albums just came out on Spotify recently though, so that’s cool, even if the humor hasn’t aged super well/I’ve aged out of the humor
I do too. But their California Album feels somewhat like their peak era music. No Future is my favorite song on that album but “She’s our of her mind” and “bored to death” feel more like their ‘99-‘02 era.
I like all there albums up to TOYPAJ, that was their last decent one IMO. ST got too emo and brooding. Buddha and Dude Ranch are great fuckin albums, but so are these little forgotten LPs and such. Flyswatter is a fun listen even if the production quality is shite - it was literally recorded in Scott's bedroom
@@lordhelmit1499 ST is the evolution and maturement of Tom Violence, Down, Stockholm Syndrome, Miss You - those reflect the darker sound and darker emotions Tom wanted to express and as time goes by these songs proved to be the deepest among all other arsenal (of course Adam's Song is on the list as well)

This whole ep is underrated Zulu is easily my favourite blink song
182Moons Same bro.
Tyler Barker and one of my favourites. 21 days very underrated song too.
FandA Buddha in general

Wow. Never thought about this this way before, but you’re so right.
Im just speculating but I think it was Jerry Finn who was the key that carried them from that "raw" sound, to what they became with EOTS
One of my favorite riffs from Tom ever. So simple and catchy. The fact he would down strum the whole thing live was wild.
