Loved the genuine reaction! I'm always so curious to see how older generations react to this type of music, because I can't even call it modern... this type of music is it's own little pocket... I mean, it's Rock, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and Classical wrapped up in one. Anyway, thanks for reacting and posting this video. Great job, guys!
I'm approaching 70 years old and the first time I heard Polyphia, maybe a year ago, my mind was BLOWN. I agree with other comments you should try Polyphia's "Playing God" next. Steve Vai is considered one of the best guitarists around and has played with many famous bands and performers (including one of my favorites, Frank Zappa). If you are feeling adventurous, try Vai's "For The Love Of God" (LIVE) with a full orchestra.
😅 welcome to the god that is Tim Henson polyphia is a one-of-a kind band he will definitely go down as one of the greatest guitar players of this generation
I'm 63 from Maryville TN. Right down the road from you guys. Polyphia is in a league of it's own. I could only smile at this reaction. The man is in another world wondering what the hell is this? The lady is staring at the guys like in true envy. But the bottom line is this. This band is a ground breaking band ushering in a new style of music. Steve Kaufman from Maryville, TN, four time champion flatpicking guitar champ lives here along with 5 time Banjo national champion Gary "Biscuit" Davis.........Dollys Banjo play lives here in the Great Smoky Mountains. Love this video.
Ego Death I believe is a play on three great guitar players putting their egos aside. When you watch the video, on each floor a different guitarist sits on the throne. Tim on the first floor, Scott on the second floor and Steve on the roof.
Oh, thank you so much. We learned early on it is better to honor the music and let it roll. We do sometimes have to edit the visuals for copyright reasons, but we just choose to make no money on the videos, if it requires us to chop up the music. (We did make that mistake an a couple of our early reactions, though). Thank you for watching.
I highly recommend Playing God by the same band. It has a completely different sound than this one. It is a mix of Flamenco, Metal, Bosa Nova, Trap, and even more genres.
Thank you for watching and for the recommendations. We have already done a reaction to For the Love of God, and it should be live on our channel in a couple of weeks. We have added the others to our list.
A lot of people can play like Tim, but very few are able to write like him. He's such a great musician.
Thank you for watching and commenting.
A lot is a bit of an overstatement imo.
@@x0x0skiller2 Not at all.
All of them are pretty equally talented not just Tim, but I will agree he does have good writing skills
@epicbrumoment8810 Not really. Neither of them are going to write as well as Tim does.
I feel like grandpa genuinely felt this song in his soul man awesome reaction
Thank you so much
