Oh man Steve Vai is a guitar god in the game- if you've never checked him out Watch his performance of 'Tender Surrender' in your spare time.. It's one of the most majestic things I've ever listened to
Also check out the aristocrats. I feel like Polyphia is heavily influenced by them. Guthrie Govan is a guitar legend as well as marco Minneman on drums. Just amazing talent and energy
they're amazing live. I saw them this summer. they're accuracy live is mind blowing. they interact with the crowd really well. as an average (at best) guitar player, it was one of the best live shows I've seen. standing about 2m in front of tim helped! they're touring uk/europe next spring. the show is 100% worth going to.
I'd say they produce the most mass suited music and thats not meant in a bad way. -I think every guitar enthusiast agrees that those guys are extremly skilled and sound amazing and that uncommon in the guitar community that all groups would agree on that. -Every music nerd enjoys geeking out on their music. -And people who are not that much into music and dont pay that much attention to what they are listening to, like their music because of the way they sound. Those guys will have a really bright future.
These guys are nuts. I've always enjoyed Steve Vai and Joe Satriani and the other virtuosos but man these guys are really really cool - ithey are kind of making instruemental rock and metal and prog more popular and mainstream!
“Who’s she” omg I busted up at this. I sent the music video to a friend of mine and she said something similar about not being able to tell if Tim was a man or woman. Lol I doubt he’d mind. Dudes one of the best if not the best guitarist on the planet, and he’s heavily leaned into his kind of androgynous look.l as the years have gone on.
I'm going to see these guys in Dallas next April, and I'm beyond excited. These guys have been my new favorite band since they released Play God earlier in the year. I've listened to their entire catalog and I gotta say, this new stuff really is the pinnacle of their music. It showcases all the different elements they've incorporated over the years in a very groovy and cohesive way. Great reaction guys. I appreciate any exposure Polyphia can get!
Man….man. They never disappoint and to have one of the greats accompany them like that….shit that had to have been a dream of theirs. Always very technical of course, but Vai adds that extra bit of gravitas that just…smh. 10/10. All day. Love you guys and thanks for the reaction.
I haven't seen it, but I had seen someone had said that there's a video of Tim reacting to Steve Vai saying that Tim was his pick for top modern guitarist. Supposedly Tim said something along the lines of "When your hero calls you great"
Hi guys, big fan! You guys seem pretty interested in Polyphia. Might I suggest reacting to their new song Chimera. It has just been released on their new album. I think Dave, especially, will like this as it is quite heavy for a new polyphia song!
Never heard of this band. Not really my style but they're musically very very talented and this song in particular I really enjoyed. Is the guy with all the tats part Japanese?
Actually technical yes but he is usually described more as an emotional player vs others like Satriani or Petrucci. Anytime you see him play live he gets so into it. And as far as humming his music, well…I do. His catalog is quite expansive. I can hum older polyphia but most of their newer stuff is all over the place and finding the melody is very difficult. This song is an exception as it has a recurring melody that pops up among the million notes being played.
@@mpkelley20 I'm not a musician and I had never heard of Polyphia before this video. My comment referred to the "casual" music listener like myself and the vast majority of my friends and coworkers. We've heard of Vai and know he's a very talented guitarist that has played with many other famous musicians/bands. But if we are in a situation where no music is on, he doesn't pop into our heads subconsciously like Eddie or Slash might, for example. Basically his works aren't as mainstream, but to most "music" people I know, being mainstream is basically an insult.
There r reaction channels that react to only music and they have hundreds of thousands of subscribers... maybe they won't all get 100k views but ppl do like to watch music reactions as well, and u will still gain subs off of the videos so work n a music video or 2 a week... variety is what makes ur channel good and music should b a part of that variety
you dont react to music because it gets copy write claimed and you make no money from it the other content you react to has a far greater chance of not being copy write claimed and so you make money. why did you feel the need to fabricate this elaborate lie around views when we can see them and know they didnt "fall off the cliff" as you suggested lmao
It's so weird to me when I see people say stuff like this about the song. For me, this song is incredibly amazing and I get emotional listening to it. It wasnt just a performance... he was making love to his guitar 😂😂
@@Alan-wh2sl 😂 oh absolutely, as one of the comments said I'm sure his hands would be blurred out in Japan
Seconded, it's just under Hendrix for me. Otherworldly

That patron subscriber was me😅. I’m so glad that y’all are sort of getting back into music videos. Though, y’all’s content now is amazing!💖

Steve Vai started out playing in Frank Zappa's band.
I love how in the video they "level up" both figuratively (with the energy) and literally (going up in the warehouse).
If Polyphia gets young kids into playing guitar then I think that would be their greatest achievement
Playing God is the song of the year! Love this band!

Tim did have the blonde hair Daz is describing earlier in their career.

I’ll see you there sir! I live in Dallas and plan on attending as well.
Had no idea Scottie was such a pickin/thumpin' machine. This is a masterpiece.
A lot of "Damn, Scottie" moments in this album for sure. His riff was eaily my favorite in this song
@@eggy7346 that solo in bloodbath? Holy god
last callback to trumpet...was more like..."all music unite" kinda call to me...
it's crazy how the members of polyphia are always thought to be teens or early twenties when they're close to 30 each
I love Steve Vai and Polyphia!

He played in Whitesnake with David Coverdale
Steve Vai - "For the love of God"
You're welcome
100% this
Steve Vai is not a virtuoso, he's a guitar god.
In 2023 Steve Vai surpasses everyone and positions himself at the very top of the guitar world.
Like #666 on a Steve Vai track, nobody move!
band really paid a homage...to maestro's of the past..
and vai did awesome by going for melody, rather technique...
Steve Vai was in Whitesnake for a while. I know a lot of people who only know him from that.
"Which one is Steve Vai?" hehehe that was pretty funny
Video and music are sooooo good ...

if you want one with a singer they just released "ABC" a few weeks ago. if woke up with guitar wrifs stuck playing in my head for weeks
Steve Vai - Tender Surrender
So... Polyphia and rap? Check out Polyphia, ABC, featuring Sophia Black 😁
Never heard of this band. Not really my style but they're musically very very talented and this song in particular I really enjoyed. Is the guy with all the tats part Japanese?
I’m fairly sure he’s half Chinese
YEEEESSSSSS!!!!!!
from Plano Texas
I've heard Steve Vai described as a very talented technical guitarist, but no one hums any of his riffs to themselves.

Have they seen playing god?
Please react to Lucas inutilismo 2022 em uma música, he’s a Brazilian musician and youtuber and really talented ^^
Guitar week 2?
Do more of Louis ck please
Hey there guys, please react to Voice of Baceprot 'God Allow Me To Play Music"...them girls are the truth
Do playing god by them, i find that a much better song.
Shame they didn't let Steve Vai rip it up, he's the goat of shredding and technical stuff
But they didn’t write his part, he did. It was his idea. If you think shredding makes a good guitarist you’re wrong
Steve Vai is bigger than Jimi Hendrix. Even newbie guitarists knows his work.
This video is hidden for me and that’s weird
you dont react to music because it gets copy write claimed and you make no money from it

Please react more babymetal live performance 🦊
the tatto guy dont have human ears. to high. like an animle.
😂
Nah. Pass
Yeah, very technically proficient, but kinda lacking in feeling and intensity, IMO. Pass.

I think Steve ruined the song. I just never liked his music. *Off Topic* Tim Henson is my male crush😂😂
@hendro hardian No one "purposely" sets out to ruin a song. Weird thought process there🤔
C'mon people, Steve Vai ruined this song. Every member of Polyphia is out of this world talented, but Steve Vai seems to have lost his Mojo!!
