why does my crane plus is really hard to balance when i put my phone with hot shoes mount? im using iphone x which is quite light i guess.
Do you received answer or figured it out? I can't balance it
@@djovak3236 Lol did u manage to balance it,I managed to balance just once, but tbh its a big pain in the ass,last time i used it, it drained all the gimbal battery because it wasn't balance right

Well because it’s too light which throw you off only solution i found is just to get used to it even on my xt30 a mirrorless which is also light i had trouble balancing it

Thank you for a Very useful tutorial. I have a question. To use the motion timelapse features do you need to connect the camera to the gimbal via the remote cable? I have the Panasonic G80 camera and apparently the gimbal doesn't support the remote cable function.
When you have the mobile attached, where would you place the external microphone?

Bought a crane plus yesterday and it is my first gimbal. I do not know what to think at first it was super easy to calibrate with my A6000 and PZ 18-105, but when trying to calibrate the same lens with my A7S, i could not get the horizon lined up. After spending hours with tutorials and so on I managed to make a new initialization, but it required several attempt before getting it right.
Then I wanted to test the track mode, but the gimble can't support my A6000 + PZ 18-105 with a iPhone7 plus on to. It works as long as I don't tilt the camera too much. The set up is less than 1,4 kgs.
After many hours of trying to learn the gimble I also wanted to try out the moving time laps. It seams to work fine with only a start point and a end point as shown in this video. However, when adding point so I had 4 points I can't get it to work as I expected. There is a slight delay when the motion is passing a waypoint, so it not smooth as explained in the film. For some reson also the app/gimble stops between the second last and the last waypoint. I've tried several diffrent set up of waypoint, it is always the same. Super annoying!
I do not know if I'm doing something wrong, but I have really tried to get it right and I'm 99,99% sure that it is bugs and in the app and that the gamble can't support the weight of less than 1,4 kgs. Otherwise there is something wrong with my gimble
I choose between the Ronin S and this, but I prefer the less heavy Crane Plus and I really liked the zoom toggle function, so I really, really want this to work. ;-)
Is there anyone that can give me a hint regarding if it is bugs in the app or my gimble that is faulty. Anyone else with the same problem?

Hiya, thanks very much for this video, although I need help with a certain aspect of the device. I can balance the camera on the Crane Plus just fine, but I find it almost impossible to balance the camera once I have attached a Rode Mic or a hot shoe phone mount (with a Galaxy S9 attached). This has become very frustrating and I want to know if there is an easy fix for this. Thanks in advance.

Okay yeah, so how are you suppose to get it to track yourself, by yourself, if you can't be in the frame and behind the camera at the same time?
What does it mean if I am using camera that is not compatible with Crane Plus 360?. For example canon 200d?. Can I still use the gimbal?.

Balancing a smart phone on top of my camera on a crane plus is literally impossible. It can't be done.

I"M CONFUSED. He totally left out a major part. During the "smart follow" feature, you're looking on the phone screen and what the phone sees. But what about what the actual camera sees? We don't know what the camera is seeing/recording because we're just looking at the phone screen. WHAT AM I MISSING? -Thanks!!!
You just frame up the phone when you mount it to have the same view as the camera. So when the app controls the gimbal based on the phone's camera, the big camera is "seeing" the same thing.

That smart follow feature is amazing! Quick question tho: for an A6000 + Sigma 30mm 1.4 or Samyang 12mm F2 what would be the best crane? I originally wanted the M to also use with my Xiaomi 4K+, but I heard my camera + lenses combo would be a bit too heavy. Was checking for the V2 instead and it seems they're just a bit too light, and I know discovered there's the Plus too. So, what would the best one be for my camera and lenses? I could just get Xiaomi's one for the action cam if the M wouldn't handle all these well

Does smart fallow work well with automotive video?
If I wanted to use this to motion track a wakeboarder behind a boat and mounted the gimbal to the boat, how well would it handle going over waves? I would plan to use motion tracking to record the rider. Also is the hot-shoe phone mount REALLY required for motion tracking if my phone is laying right next to the gimbal and can maintain a Bluetooth connection?

Does the Smart follow feature require a specific phone mount? If not, is there one you’d recommend?
looks interesting, except for .... you can't see the bloody screen on the camera or smartphone because the gimbal is in the way! Am I missing something?
Just received mine today. The problem is that the Zhiyun app doesn't work on my Samsung S7, so I have no way to specify the gimbal the type of camera I use. (Sony A6400). The shutter button and the zoom button don't work. Is there a way around? (I connected the provided cable between the camera and the gimbal). Thanks.
You can use the calibration tool and choose the camera manufacturer on your computer with the gimbal connecting.www.zhiyun-tech.com/download
Hi, can you tell me how do I save Motion Memory in the Android ZY App for a Crane Plus. Am I missing something? There is no save button like on your demo? It just works once and then all is lost! :(
How do we use this gimbal with sony A7C ?? Since it use type c hole in the body and zhiyun doesn't provide the cable for type c...please let me know

My problem with these videos is that they are slowed down (which smooths out shake) or do not feature real time normal speed action. That said, it looks good, I just question normal speed capture.
Motion memory: Is it possible rotating more than 180 degrees? The settings goes from 0 to 180 and then -180 instead of 360 degrees...
Does it have a panorama function as well ?
I can't get mine to be able to zoom with sony stock lens and can't take video when pushing camera button it takes picture
do you need to have your phone screen and app active throughout the duration of the time lapse for motion memory to work?

does the crane 2 have the follow roll feature too?im debating between this and the crane 2 but if the crane 2 has the follow roll feature id preffer the crane 2 just because of the maximum weight it can hold and the follow focus feature. thank you

Hello! Is it maybe possible, that the Lumix FZ2000 from Panasonic is not kompatibel with the Stabilizer? But the gimbal itself is compatible with the stabilizer.

Hi there I have canon camera no cables. So not sure how should i do. I need to start first video mode with camera and then the gimbal so that way i can syncronize all.. Is that right?
C Segura I would think the best bet would be to have the camera setup and ready on the gimbal. Then make sure the smartphone is connected and setup for Phone Camera, assuming you are talking about SmartFollow. Then, BEFORE making your selection, start recording on your camera and then make an object tracking selection. Otherwise it may be finicky trying to record while the gimbal is moving around.

I am thinking of purchasing one if it works.
Zhiyun , you should really add the motion feature the Feiyutech a2000 gimbal has. Where you click 4 times move the gimbal with your hand for the starting point click once move to the end point and click again. It is possible to edit it on the phone not required. That is nice because the biggest issue I have with your products is the app. If you can do more in gimbal it would be very nice.
This Gimbal is awesome very very easy to set up... But the smart follow only worms for iPhone
Tracking does NOT work...as soon as i highlight the subject, the camera tilts back and in all direction. I attach the phone and mic with a small rig clamp plate made for Crane Plus. If i put phone on my A7iii, balancing with the phone is totally impossible.
Hi, I am unable to preview my footage on my Canon 200d (SL2). I selected Crane Plus within the App. switched to camera mode and still nothing. At first I thought I needed a special cable, but have seen videos on YT of people previewing via their phone wirelessly. Any ideas?

very good option of movement programming in the crane plus.
1- It is possible to program panoramic pictures 3x3 or 7x3 or similar in the crane plus.
2- Also this you know if it is possible these options in the Zhiyun WEEBILL
3- The mode selection buttons on both models make noise when pressed. I was testing the g6 plus feiyu and it makes a CLICKING noise every time you select the mode button.

This or the Crane M for an A6500? I've ended up buying the Crane plus but I think it's too big and I'm finding it difficult to balance with the kit lens.
Real Pic Productions I think that sort of depends. Yes it can be a little tough with the 16-50 lens, but the motors will make up for it. Be sure to adjust the gimbal motor strength in the ZY play app to either weak or medium.
The M is great, but if you plan on upgrading from the kit lens (I suggest the 18-105 f4, excellent video lens), then you’ll be glad to have the extra capacity of the Crane Plus.

Real Pic Productions No you won’t need to. What I would recommend doing is setting the zoom right in the middle of where you think the minimum and maximum focal lengths you are gonna use. Balance the gimbal from there. Zoom will throw the balance off, but not by much and with the strength set to high, the crane plus easily picks up the slack to keep things stable.

Can you set up motion memory to be in loop mode so I can do interviews with a constantly moving camera on a tripod?

So good tut. Is it possible to use a compact camera canon g7 mark ii ( weight 315g) even though the min weight for plus is 350? Or is it possible to use counterweights to make it work? Been googling like crazy😫
It is suggested to try with counterweight to balance the gimbal.
Hi Brett, using a crane plus and Sony A7.the crane plus doesn’t switch on camera video, it takes stills with one press of the power button but doesn’t start video recording with two presses of the power button... any ideas?

Try with counterweight if necessary
Just bought this and it seems it doesn't connect to my Canon 750D and also my Samsung phone can't connect to the gimbal itself. I would not have bought this unit if I had known this before. The tracking features are the reason I spent nearly £500 on this, Bah!!
user of p20 pro here, why i cant adjust the movement of the gimbal from point A to B, when i shooting at moving time lapse. it stated moving TL position lock. i spent almost 3 hours to find out what is the problem but i find nothing. btw, once i connect my device to gimbal crane plus, i cant manually control the joystick on the gimbal same goes to my phone. it just became inoperative, the stabilization is gone. please where do i get help.

Hi during the use my crane there are vibration of the motors. When i try to move the camera with the Joystick the motors start to vibrate. I think it isn't normal or?
I can't find the timelapse option in the app, I tried it on a Samsung Galaxy S6 and on iPhone 6 and none of them showed me the option!
Can i use this gimbal with a camera like the blackmagic production camera? The camera itself is 1700 grams so it should be light enough with just a 50mm lens, but i am worried the odd size of this camera will put it off balance.

I did actually buy the crane plus and it seems there is not enough room for adjustment for it to be weighted far enough on on the right side of the gimbal. Is there a fix for this?

No problem, I'm actually returning the Crane Plus to WEX Photo Video here in the UK. Not only can I not use the cool features due to not having an iPhone, your USB driver broke the booting on my Mac! So I've had to buy a new SSD to install a new version of High Sierra in order to use my computer again. Fortunately I have an older version of OSX that is bootable in order to make a bootable USB stick. YOU NEED TO UPDATE/DEVELOP/TEST THE USB DRIVER - it has a bug that 'bricks' Macs after install.

The stupid thing does NOT WORK - I HAVE LOST MY MONEY!!!
I got a Crane Plus - but after a firmware update, it is not working and Zhiyun tech support sent me some files which are not better - I get a message "Please use the correct firmware file" - I have followed their exact procedure (switch on only after clicking on upgrade) and now, this brand new device that I bought last week while i was in china is bricked... can't use it - I'm back to my country now and it will be very very expensive to ship back... Is there any help you can offer?

When the gimbal and smartphone connects via bluetooth, you can switch the app to phone camera mode and you'll see the object tracking button at the buttom left corner (next to the album icon).
Does smart follow work on any camera? Like a fuji xt2?

So dissapointed... I did a firmware update on my crane plus, calibrate it and balanced it. But POV mode: nope: it doesn't work! only modes possible: pan mode and selfie mode, but no POV possible.
