    I had this gimbal picking dust because i had no time to use it for a while and initial tests left me undewhelmed. Watched a few tutorials did a bit of practice and got a lot more comfortable with it. But this one really is the best tutorial i have seen. Calm reassuring voice and very well organized. Gear companies should be reaching out to you to make tutorials for them.

    hey, very very useful video. one thing to note is that the Manfrotto QR plate can't be fitted to the crane plus with sony A7 III. it cause the camera to rise too high and clashes with the pan motor also balance is very difficult to achieve. I ended up with the QR plate that you have used in your link and it worked a treat. many many thanks. look forward to your future videos!

    Following this video exactly (as well as pretty much every other Crane Plus video), I was able to balance the A6600 on every axis except the tilt access using a 35mm 1.4f prime lens. Very annoying, but I think due to the light weight and the extension range limitation on the tilt axis, it's preventing the tilt axis from being balanced perfectly. Will be getting a Sigma 16mm soon and will be testing on the tilt axis again with a heavier lens.
    Either way, I don't hear or see any issues with the motor without the tilt axis balanced so far with the A6600 + 35mm 1.4f lens.

    I recently switch from a DSLR to the Sony A6400 mainly for my interest in video. I have the Sony 18-105 F4 as my only lens. I feel that a gimbal would be a good investment, my question would be how to use the power zoom with the camera on the gimbal? I appreciate your advice.

    • @Mark10ProVideo
      @Mark10ProVideo  4 года назад +1

      There are gimbals that feature a focus wheel and a camera remote connection via cable that allow you to control it via the gimbal controls. I am not sure, but since its a powerzoom lens maybe there is a way to use the focus wheel to control the zoom. If you want full range you need a gimbal with a cradle big enough to hold the camera with the zoom extended half way, which is how I would balance teh gimbal. Then all you can do is hope that the gimbal is strong enough to work with the lens full extended and fully retracted. Usually you do not zoom on a gimbal, but that is how I do it when I use my 24-70 on my gimbal.

    Hi do you suggest this one rather than dji ronin s models

    • @Mark10ProVideo
      @Mark10ProVideo  4 года назад +1

      Depends on how heavy your setup is. I have switched to a ronin s, because I use the 24 70 f2.8 now, including a cage and a small monitor. So I had to use a stronger gimbal. It really comes down to how much weight you need to put on the gimbal. Weigh your setup and then check the specs for the weight limits. I can recommend both.

      @@Mark10ProVideo hı since my setup is lightweight i went for zhijun crane plus. But i can't make the tilt balance when looking at top as you showed in the video it always fall to front. İs my setup so lightweight that i can't use with crane plus? İ tried several times. My setup is sony a6400 + 16-50mm kit lens or sigma 30mm f1.4

    How do you avoid jitter with the a6400 + sigma lens when using a gimbal

    • @Mark10ProVideo
      @Mark10ProVideo  4 года назад

      I premeditate the shots a much a spossible, practice my ninja walk and use the appropriate mode. Usually that works fine. Sometimes I appla some digital stab. Jitter, as in micro jittery movements I have not had to deal with. Sometimes the workload for the gimbal is too heavy and it starts to jitter, but I am pretty sure I just need to use fully charged batteries and watch the weight limit. When are you running into those problems?

    Thank you so much! I just got this gimbal and this is the first and best video that could pop up! Question, i'm having trouble balancing my a6300 with the 16-50mm, its too light so i cant balance it when looking up (move the thingy all the way in and its still tilting forward :( )is that going to affect much? Is ther a way around it? Thank you!

    • @Mark10ProVideo
      @Mark10ProVideo  4 года назад

      Shouldn'T be much of a problem at all...you could however get one of these tiny l brackets for the Sony and shift the weight over a little further. I think that once solved the balancing problem. Then again-performance-wise- shouldn't be a big deal for the gimbal.

    hello friend! very good video!
    i have a7iii with tamron 28 75..ill buy gimbal and im thinking crane plus and AK2000..
    whats your opinion? Am i gonna have smooth results with crane plus ??or will be strugle?
    many videos have slowmotion footages with this set up and i cant have clear ''view'' when walking or runing..

      I think the zhyiyun crane has the better algorithms, but I have not used the feiytech ak2000 yet. I think the AK2000 being a bit stornger than the crane plus and having the slanted roll axis will be the better pick.

      Try initializing the camera. It should offer you the language options after you turn on the camera. If english isn't listed, which it should be....then I don'T know of anyother way. Maybe install a different language firmware althogether....

    Very helpful video - thank you! When I go into the Zhiyun app and create the two profiles - Cinematic and Action -- they don't save. When I go to use them the gimbal settings are back to default, and neither shows up as an option when I go into scene mode. Any idea as to what I might be doing wrong?

      Do you tap "save"? In landscape mode the icon might nopt show up unless you scroll down a little from the settings tabs..

      TubeNoob what lenth of a fpv hdmi cable do you recommend? just getting confushed wheter is better to wrap the cable on the axes of the gimbal or just dont bother with it. As know I tied the cables on the gimball (jack, hdmi) but still not working well as the gimbal can get easily out of balance

    Good stuff dude just subscribe to your Channel very well explained very detailed top notch.
    I'm about to buy the a 6400 I'm just getting into making videos I know you're high on those three sigma lenses.
    Have you tried the Tameron 16 mm to 28 mm F 2.8 for the Sony ? Heard it super super good really sharp lightweight.

    • @Mark10ProVideo
      @Mark10ProVideo  5 лет назад

      Thanks:) YOu mean the 17-28 f2.8 zoom I take it. I haven'T had a chance to test that one. But if you'Re not going to spend the dollars fopr the GM that is your only option, and from what I hear it is a very good one. I myself always rent the full frame lenses for my client work, and then get the GMs, because I can simply list it as expenses. If I was to get a full frame lens myself, I would rent the 17-28 and see whether the zoom range is ok for me to work with, or whether I simply need to have 35mm on the tele end, because I know I wonÄT care about 16mm over 17mm although that is a significant difference in viewing angel. For what I do it doesn't matter though. 28 to 35, that might actually matter....I would have to test that myself...17-28 is a full frame lens though.....
      Or did you mean the new 16 50 f2.8 for apsc?

      @@Mark10ProVideo thanks for your reply no I mean the 17 to 28mm F 2.8 tameron. It's a full frame lens but it works on Sony a 6100 6400 etc all the reviews I've watched are just it's an excellent excellent lens.
      I'm considering that or the three sigma Prime's that you mentioned those get really good reviews to those are those are excellent lenses but I may prefer resume over three primes I'm not sure yet I made by my a 6400 and rent those lenses and try them all out before I buy them.
      Keep up the good work man love the channel.
