I just got the V2 one week ago and now I am definitely planning on returning it to get the Crane Plus. Since I use a DSLR camera and it seems to struggle a bit with the heavier lenses. Total weight is 1500g. Even though the V2 can support 1800g, I think my set up is on the heavier end. Plus I like the focus track follow mode.
Top notch as always , i don't understand people who give this a thumbs down, this is free information , from a guy who clearly knows what he is talking about when it comes to gimbals , if he was teaching at a film school you would be paying top $$$$. This is free people !! Show some respect, don't like it?, don't watch it. I personally think you should put together a masterclass series and sell it, id be the first to buy it.

Hey VC, did you buy this product? I mean, did you base your buying decision off this video? I ask because this was one of many videos I watched to make my decision. MP makes outstanding videos and is a total pro. The problem is that the product is complete shit. Great hardware, beautiful box, etc. Unfortunately, the software, app and support is complete trash. I should know, I bought one. Hundreds of people have posted their remarks on Zhiyun's FB page. I regret basing my decision off of only RUclipsrs. That's on me. However, It's straight up irresponsible to not mention any of these issues. I'm not saying this talented guy is on the take, but please follow through. I sincerely doubt they haven't run into any issues themselves. So I had given this video a thumbs up and I subscribed initially. Now I'm stuck with this POS so I came back to give it a deserving thumbs down. I'm not a bot.

Could you upload the footage from object tracking! Camera looks a bit jittery :(.
I recently also got the Crane Plus. With it also came the newly designed sony camera control cable. (the light grey one) where the camera-in side no-longer has that angle blocking the micro-HDMI port on the Sony a7 series.
Really I liked that change, so I could now simultaneously use the micro hdmi port with an external monitor!
---I was about to set up my gear when I came across a bug/design flaw with the new cable (...at the other end of the cable the end going inside the tilt-axis arm of the Crane..)
The port on the crane plus's tilt-axis is designed lying slightly deeper (it sits in a sort of shallow hole),
..yet the connectors cable has a rather wide enclosure, to-wide for that shallow hole, ...because it causes the cable connection to not reach far enough inside the Crane's port to make a connection...
To make the connection work, I had to shave of a bit of the enclosure of the cable that goes into the Crane's end.
---Do you have the same sony-cable with the Crane Plus?

Can the plus do unlimited 360 rotation? It doesn't do it using the joystick but the manual says it can do it by "following
the movement of the gimbal handle." I haven't been able to figure it out.

If you will change the position of the roll axis, you will not get the same movement. A 90 degree axis placement is optimal.
Great video, I was planning for a Crane plus and have a Sony Alpha 6000, I have heard that after connecting gimbal with camera the zoom in, pov, video start features do not work, these are only supported for selected models, I was wondering if my Sony Alpha 6000 would work. Any guidance will be helpful before buying.
Okay, so I have this thing and I cannot get smooth footage at all. I'm using a super light Canon 77D and a Sigma 35 lens. Is my set up too heavy because it's under the weight limit or does it just take THAT much practice with it

Can you not do the "dutch angle" with the Crane 2? Also thanks for brining up the "motion memory" feature. I believe the Crane 2 doesn't have that function... perhaps via a firmware?

Hey, great video! I have a question for you, i'm using the crane plus with the GH5 and i'm still working on getting the balance perfect, but I also noticed that only half the buttons work. I can not make the camera start/stop recording from the gimbal and the w/t toggle doesnt seem to do anything either. I have the cable plugged into the camera, but this little cable doesn't seem to do anything, It still works the same plugged into the gimbal or not. Any suggestions?

Thank you for your review. Just wondering if I balanced the crane plus with an a6500 and sigma 16mm 1.4, would this be enough weight for it to function properly? And would I need to rebalance the camera every time I connect it to the gimball or would it remember my previous setting?

Does somebody used the Crane Plus with gh4/5 + sigma 18-35 + metabones? The Crane V2 had some problems because the setup was too heavy in the front part of the crane
I have the cranes plus with the t7i and sigma 18-35. I had problems balancing it because it was too from heavy so I got a battery grip for camera and not it balances but the issue now is the clearance when tilting back
hello josh , i think we can take dutch angle shot by joy stick in the v2 , right ? also the tracking feature , we just open the mobile app same as u doing in this video also in the v2 and the crane-m , i'm not sure about that but while I'm searching in youtube i was see some people do this ,,, I'm nearly to buy one the awesome zhiyun Cranes and my pay load nearly to 1.4 kg tell me which is the best for me and which one of them very stable like dji gimbals i was try the ronin-m its 'magic' but very heavy i can't use it more than 15 mins !! whithout vest or shoulder support ... finally Thank you u r the best

Still can’t control canon cameras from panel button, only for sony and panasonic?
I just got a crane plus but I have a serious issue. I can’t get it to balance with a g85 and a 25mm f/1.7 lumix lens. It’s as far forward as it can go and it’s still tilting back. Even with the kit 12-60 lens it is hardly level when the bracket is all the way forward. I even tried adding an extra screw up front for added weight and no luck. Am I going to have to rig a weight onto the camera? Am I completely missing something? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Quick question I have MOZA AIR gimbal so far it works great recently I've gotten a cage for Sony A7iii I can balance with cage no problem but I can't with cage + Manfrotto release plate I have (Manfrotto 323 RC2 Rapid Connect Adapter with 200PL-14 Quick Release Plate) it's too bulky the cage hits the top motor when attempting to balance any better plate made for this? or do I need a different gimbal with longer arm perhaps? Please help me out someone

Also will the phone-based follow object mode work with the V2 also? I see no reason not to since it should be 100% driven by the app, and they use the same app, so I certainly hope so.

As of now, I don't think anyone who actually owns this setup has reported that it does or doesn't work. I went ahead and ordered a Crane Plus! On paper it should work, everyone I've asked, including Zhiyun-tech said it will work so hopefully I can verify that it does. The combo adds up to around 70% of the stated max payload for the Crane plus. Now on the V2 it was up to around 90-95%. It still could somewhat balance but you'd run into issues when tilting.
J-Reel Live please report back when you’ve tested it as that is my usual lens and body.
So I just got my Crane plus the other day and it doesn't balance too well with the GH5 sigma 18-35 combo as is. You can get the gimbal to sort of balance the setup with the motors being so strong but it won't allow for you to use the tilt up/down very much. There isn't enough room to push the camera back far enough to compensate for such a heavy lens. I ended up adding more weight to the back of the GH5 (420 grams worth) and got it to balance pretty good with the motors off. The tilt works almost perfectly now too. I plan I doing a video of the balancing trick in the future!

Seems like both the v2 and Plus weigh just 950g. If one can afford, plus should be more foolproof.
I have just bought a Crane Plus but my Sony A6500 doesn't charge from the crane's battery with the cable provided in the box, as advertised. Is there anything else that I have to do to power my camera from the crane? Thx

I send this question to Zhiyun Support and the answer was:
"Sorry for the inconvenience. the standard camera cable can't support the charge function.
and our gimbal interface can support the charging function. if you want to charge, you need to buy a new one in addition.
The charging camera cable is 10$ for each, and you need to bear the shipping cost."

Make sure you have the correct settings on you r sony, remote control settings, turn on the camera only after gimball has initialized! then comment here if it worked and thank me later. or buy me a beer or something, mmkeeyy? :p
