      If your body is more fit, it is more efficient, and the sending food and waste is easier during exercise compared with when you were not fit. The fit person has a more efficient system, so the heart doesnt pump as often. At least some of this might be due to tiny blood vessel growth when you exercise consistently and eat and drink and sleep well. The extra, new little blood vessels can feed your tissue well. Ask you doctor before you do new exercise.

    Great video… but Beginner? Maybe not setting the best expectations. I’ve ran 20 half marathons and a marathon this year and couldnt run the beginner speed. A beginner 2.5km is probably 17/18 minutes. Great video concept though.

    • @speedsociety9177
      @speedsociety9177 2 года назад

      dont forget it's only 2.5k. Ive been running for a little over year, only about 10k per week and would definetely call myself a beginner even though I cycle quite a lot more than I run. My best 1k (as part of a 5k race I did this year) is 4:16 and the 5k itself was 21:42. Obviously not a total beginner (and a male if that matters) as in straight from the couch, but still never did any serious running before in my life and I am almost 40.

    • @kenavr
      @kenavr 2 года назад +2

      She is a beginner triathlete not runner. I don't remember her performance in the other disciplines, but triathletes often have one stronger sport. Most of them may even have a semi serious background in them. Depending on what the goal of the video is, it may also be less "fun" to see a 8min, 9min and then 18min run. Though if you are concerned it discourages people because the "beginner" is faster than a lot of people I can understand that.

    “Running doesn’t really require skill”. I disagree, it requires far more technique than cycling which other than aero position, requires almost none, just a big motor that part fitness and part genetics. Running economy can vary widely. Most beginners are not good runners because they have poor economy.

    • @jimjamthebananaman1
      @jimjamthebananaman1 2 года назад +1

      Cycling requires more technique than running. You can massively improve your power just from proper pedalling technique. Running is high impact and puts a lot more stress on the muscles hence why beginner runners aren’t good runners. After time the body adapts and hence why they become better at running.
