INGREDIENTS
2 Instant Banana Cream Pudding Mix
4 Cups Milk
1& 1/2 Black Vanilla Extract
1 Can Sweet Condensed Milk
1 Container Cool whip
6 Bananas
1 Box Nilla Wafers
I used: A Medium size mixing bowl.
I Used: Hand mixer
I used: a whisk
I used: 1 small pan
I used:1 cup measuring Cup
I used: a measuring spoon of 1 table spoon

I add a bottom layer of crushed wafers heated with some butter to make a crust. This is the same recipe that I use except for the bottom crust. It looks so delicious now I’m wanting some banana pudding. Thanks for sharing 👌

I had never considered adding the bananas to the pudding. Layering takes soo much time, I’ll definitely try that when preparing in a pan you can’t see through! Thanks!
I also add cream cheese to mine.
I blend the cream cheese and condensed milk first to get the cream cheese smooth. Then proceed the same way.❤

It is a great recipe I incorporated a fresh homemade meringue on mine I also used a little crème of tarter in the meringue. Everyone loves it 15:07

I love banana pudding. I use hard coconut cookies(the cheap kind) instead of the vanilla wafers. They seem to told up better than the wafers as they seem to get soggy to fast. I like the crispy with my pudding. We love it.

I know your video is a year old but I have to tell you Queen I did your recipe to the exact and I will never do another banana pudding no other way 🤭 my family absolutely loved it the only thing I did differently was the whipped cream I used light Cool whip and that was only because that's all they had at the time but no one even knew the difference it was so good I stocked up on my ingredients because the holidays is coming up and I'm definitely making it for Christmas and Thanksgiving thank you again for your video God bless 🙏🏾

It has been said if you dip your banana in lemon juice they won't turn brown
Oh yes, I have tried that and I didn't like the taste of it. It's better to be made fresh and refrigerated and eaten within a day or two.

I use something called “Fruit Fresh” It has no taste and it keeps all kind of fruits from turning brown. A great product for sure.

You can add a small can of crushed pineapple if you like pineapples to the pudding and it's delicious too.

What can I use instead of nilla wafers? We don't have those in Canada 🇨🇦 unfortunately 😔 I guess honeymaid graham wafers will work fine ?

Honestly I have never tried that but I'm sure you can. It's still pudding.😊

It depends on what the box says...
Do you have to put it in the fridge or will it be ready right away? How long in the fridge if so?
You can put it in the fridge for like 30 minutes and it will be ready to eat
I made banana pudding with vanilla pudding, banana pudding vanilla extract . I added no sweet milk,i added milk, use some agave,the pudding has so much sugar,sweet condensed milk is a sugar shack. I love cookies, banana pudding, crumble up my cookis also. I not trying to get diabeties, it was still sweet this way,

Cool whip helps to smooth out the pudding and lighten it up. The cream cheese is added as a flavoring not a substitute and it depends on your taste you add a little then taste it and if you want to add more do so and taste it to see if it is of satisfaction for you.
I only use 1 cool whip container too. 2 is way to much.

I so appreciate your introduction of adding the bananas to the pudding. But, to me the amount of MILK seem too much.
The amount of milk that was used is from the instruction on the box
For some reason my banana pudding didn’t thicken up. I’m so disappointed! I’ll try again for the holidays I guess. 🙁
Did you follow the entire instruction with the recipe that was given?
You also have to make sure that the box of banana pudding in the box that says instant, NOT the other kind that says cook on stove top.
@@staceystyles4048 I had the right one. I think I poured to much milk in there. But girl I didn’t give up. I had a box of i vanilla pudding mix also in my pantry I whipped that up added some banana flavor. It worked perfectly to help thicken it up my husband said it was so good! I panicked for nothing! 😅🤦🏽♀️
Why you add cream cheese?
I didn't add the cream cheese because I was not making it for me. the person that wanted this wanted it the traditional way. But you can definitely add cream cheese to it, it gives it a nice flavor.

@@MsHunniDew502 I would add it in after the banana pudding is completely made with all the ingredients except the cool whip, I would incorporate a small amount of cream cheese at a time to the pudding mixture and taste it until I am satisfied with the flavor. I would then fold in the cool whip and the bananas.
The wafers on the thumbnail look like the old Nilla wafers. There was a time you could depend on a box of unbroken, perfectly shaped, Vanilla wafers when you purchased Nilla wafers, but the last box I bought were trash, crumbs some smaller than others and some were darker or lighter than others. Nilla has definitely lowered their standards. Mrs. beards bread has lowered their standards. What's going on. I ALWAYS HAVE to put my wafers in the bowl 1st.
