You can definitely see it lifting at front when accelerating,be awesome when you can go more hard out,those booster plugs you definitely lift front & pull harder too & will richen it up & improve fueling.I think you might be new poster boy for TEC 2-1 in NZ bro.

Nice mate!! Ive dine a few ither videos with this exhaust including a pure raw sound one! Youll love it mate and the power gains are wicked with an air filter ive had my GT up at 200kmph 😁

Been nice to have seen the actual mounting. Good bike there, congo on the improvements. All the best for the mount nut. If they're too tight, let em cool down before resuming.

Good choice! Really makes the bike perform how it always should have sounds great and punches hard! Have now fixed the mid mount and took it for a better ride you can seriously not get any better performance upgrade for the money 🤙
Must be stoked at those upgrades coming.Im still only on learners so long way off big bore headers but got S&S slip on's & air filter booster plug.
@@ruahinesrider yes I'm excited!! Hopefully my back will be feeling better by the time they come in, so I can get them on and ride!!!! I think I paid 400 bucks for both items and shipping. If shipping wasn't so much it would have been about 340 usd for everything
@@aliciagonzales7240Where are you from? In NZ 🇳🇿 the TEC 2-1 costs $600 then post probably another $40.I to have a bad back that's why I didn't get a GT.Also need a six pack for one of those.haha.
@@ruahinesrider I am from Texas. I have a bad back as well but the upright ride of the interceptor did not feel comfortable at all when I took it for a test ride. Ahaha you don't have to have a 6 pack. I'm a thicker girl and I ride it just fine ahaha

How's the diet going.I'd like to do weight loss too.I got the S&S Race Only one's(Slip on's) that's 6kg, remove grab rail next apparently it weighs .5kg.I have swapped tail light & indicators for TEC led one's & front one's go on when Yss fork upgrade gets done.The cast headlight bracket weighs abit that'll be replaced when forks done.Swapped cast front mudguard holder for Lighter Baak one.Have S&S air filter & booster plug.Have added weight too with Hitchcocks metal chain guard(a must),R.E sump plate, Hitchcocks oil cooler guard but want to invest in a Lithium Iron or Lithium ion battery that'll give 2-3kg but big bore headers is the biggest weight loss 10-13 kg depending on 2-2 or 2-1.
Sounds like a great plan RR I'm thinking Tec 2 into 1s for sure big weight loss there (thanks Vinny) and with lighter Tec adjustable shocks drop the rear about an inch should lower centre of gravity and move weight further back. 72 T120rv clone.
...I'm not a trumpy obsessive just like a lighter bike, original RE 750 Interceptor 190kg wet and what's not to like about that.

I'm getting a GT 650 this weekend in the U.S! RE is not huge here and there is no dealership in my state. I'm looking into ordering this exhaust when I get it, however, I'll probably have to pay $$$ for shipping. I know you can't have the RE motor guards with this exhaust. Do you find that you miss the motor guards at all? Thanks for the vid. Sounds great. Cheers!
Nice one mate! I had to pay shipping and it came in around $700nzd all up so thats about 400-450usd really affordable! And i never had motor guards in the first place mate! I thought they were more of an optional extra do they come standard in the U.S?
No, I’m purchasing a used (practically new) GT from a private seller. He’s added a lot of accessories that I’m glad to have, even if I end up taking them off. I’m certainly interested in this exhaust and will likely end up swapping it and ditching the engine guards.
@@joshwestbrook5059 ohh yeah makes sense mate! Yeah i would ditch the guards and maybe sell them to help pay for some of the exhaust the 2 into 1 really wakes these bikes up and gives them that extra little power they need! I would also recommend doing an airfilter upgrade to match up with the new exhaust! Make sure to let the bike idle for 15 minutes after upgrades are installed good luck mate! I hope you enjoy your new bike!

@@julianperry5141 yeah mate massively it's like riding a different bike more noticeable after I got it fixed went a little harder and accedentally got up to 160 without even realizing 😂

Nah the baffle wasn't left in I've heard it's alot quieter with it in I found the built in baffling is good enough where its not too loud but you still get a great sound! Cheers for the comment mate! 🤙

Do you sometimes miss the look of the dual mufflers? On such a classic style bike, seems like it would be a bit naked on one side, no?
I do mate not that this looks bad but i know what you mean luckily the interceptor has the twins so i get the best of both worlds the way the bike behaves now is so worth having the 2 into 1 system it really wakes up the beast

Haven't really noticed much of a change mate stayed pretty much the same maybe uses a little bit more but its worth it

Hey Vinny, so I did install my full exhaust and I didn't think the clutch cable was close to it. Welp it's right on there and the exhaust has burned through some of the black part of the cable. Did you have any issues with that?
I did so i cable tied the cable a bit out of the way seems to have worked although its not a major if it has burned through the plastic there is also a metal sleeve that wont melt on the inside so clutch cable will still be protected 🤙

@@aliciagonzales7240 You can get longer cables from Hitchcocks that will give 5cm or 10cm extra cable length depending on which one you choose.Venhill featherlight clutch cables are lighter on the wrist & have 5cm & 10cm cables available but the good old zip tie(cable tie) should work.
@@aliciagonzales7240 Don't remove the db killers on the TEC 2-1 as it says in instructions.It is not just for sound on the TEC system db killers hold everything in place otherwise the honey comb baffle inside will come loose & blow out abit.I've seen a couple of RUclipsrs say this.

It's always been a parallel twin but the exhaust goes 2 pipes in to 1 pipe instead of having 2 big pipes coming out the back 🤙
