Very good to know you don't actually have to remove the center stand to install these pipes. Waiting for them to come in stock in the US to order a set! Thanks for the video
This one of the positive points about the RE 650 ownership - since the initial price was so reasonable, it leaves you the option to customize your bike to your taste. One of the advantages of this exhaust system is it reduces a considerable amount of weight which makes the bike faster.
Your videos are excellent....very easy to follow...the new exhaust sounds great. Is it road legal as long as the baffle remains in and does it feel as if there's any performance gain?
Thanks for the vid, Nick. I just fitted the stinger on my inty and benefited from your advise and DIY step by step. It's one of the best and made the install relatively easy for an old far sighted, adhd, visual learner. It still took me the better portion of this afternoon but, it looks sweet and I had been putting this off due to my mediocre wrenching skills.
Hi George from TECBIKEPARTS, Thanks for this video. I would just like to point out a small error. When fitting the front pipes to head the slotted hole should go to the bottom and the round hole to the top. Hey all. I just put on the TEC 2-1, and they strongly recommend that you keep the baffle in. I'm wondering if anyone here has ridden a while without the baffles and if you have had any issues. Thanks!

Hi mate, can you please let me know what tool did you use to remove the 2 nuts from the exhaust pipe connecting the cylinder head? And also the size of the tool please. I tried using the ratchet with socket but it's not deep enough. Having difficulty with tool to remove stock exhaust hahaha.

Nice video again, thanks Nick. They are so interesting and helpful. I have an Interceptor on order. Have you experienced any of the stalling or engine cut outs some people have? Often put down to dodgy relays covered in grease, or need for ECU remap.
I mean revs drop when you close throttle but with finesse you can prevent it. I don't believe it's a relay issue, I think its more air fuel ratio related, could be the evap but it runs better with the free flow exhaust, yet to try a high flow filter.
On the flange, I thought the round hole goes to the top and the slotted one to the bottom ? I am installing one of these exhausts the reason being I have a side car fitted, if carrying a pillion the left hand side heel from my passenger touches the exhaust, this system will eliminate this problem.

@@nicksepisodehow about the insurance? I bought a second hand interceptor as a new Full license driver. Would this exhaust make my insurance more expensive? Or void my insurance for having a not Road legal part? Thank you
Brilliant clear video ... but Nick , come on its a silencer not a muffler! We're English! I do normally like twin silencer set up's but on the RE anything is better than the crazy 'stuck out' mounting of the originals, I have no idea what they were thinking about.
Iv got the tec bike big bore headers and cannon cans in my euro 5 interceptor. I was going get the stinger but personally I think the left side look so empty without anything there. Original pipes and exhaust system looks far superior. The 2 into 1 system looks, quite frankly, a bit tatty. Sound coming from the original system was perfect. All in all a waste of both time and money when there was nothing wrong with the OEM kit. What do other viewers think?

I am not the best of mechanics hence I am watching all the videos I can. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more of your Royal Enfield videos.
That Tec Parts Company seem to make a lot of good stuff for a few bikes.
Btw. Good job showing the install as usual.
Thanks Wayne, and they are local and independent too.
That sounds great 👍
Good vid, very useful Pal..👍
Great vid Nick, looks and sounds ace..slowly turning into your own custom build..Next coffee shop outing, bike shed london😂
Yes definitely! Cheers Mick
I luvit...2 into 1, much lighter, looks good, imo!
Think we passed you on Monday on the broadband North way?
Wheres that bud
@@nicksepisode you were just coming onto the new northern distributor Road possibly.
no dont think it was me bud
@@nicksepisode fair enough I just see a bike the same if not very similar 🚲🤣
@@shanekneeshaw3483 trying to make mine unique lol.
Hi . will it cause any problem to engine in long run?
The front engine thins have been known to get hot and discolour, but as far as engine faults, no. It would be a good ideal to buy a fuel pack for it if you are worried. Can be purchased on hitchocks. Its called fuel X
Beautiful!!!!
Sounds great
What I don’t understand is that apparently is not road legal??? Can’t I have it on my bike in the UK?
You can. Its fine.
@@nicksepisodehow about the insurance? I bought a second hand interceptor as a new Full license driver. Would this exhaust make my insurance more expensive? Or void my insurance for having a not Road legal part? Thank you
I have it on my bike and notice the left pipe sightly touch the frame. Do you have the same prob?
Loosen the system on everything and pull back while someone tightens from front to back
@@nicksepisode appreciate your reply, I'll definitely try this.
So, have you had it on a dyno to record how it's now running?
No I haven't, I would like to
Great video!
Can you use engine guards with this system? I heard you cant.
You are correct
@@nicksepisode that's unfortunate. Are there any that can or should I do a 2-2 exhaust?
I'd go 2-2
@@nicksepisode any suggestions? I also don't think my state does emissions on bikes, so couldn't I do off-road pipes?🤣
Price is always a factor for me. The scrambler exhaust would be my first choice. Then the tec bike parts 2-2
Is there any crash guard available for this exhaust?
nope unfortunate not
Very understandable video...👌🏻💯
Glad you think so!
Brilliant clear video ... but Nick , come on its a silencer not a muffler! We're English!
I do normally like twin silencer set up's but on the RE anything is better than the crazy 'stuck out'
mounting of the originals, I have no idea what they were thinking about.
muffler sounds better lol
Iv got the tec bike big bore headers and cannon cans in my euro 5 interceptor. I was going get the stinger but personally I think the left side look so empty without anything there. They do sound good though. Especially blasting around somerleyton Roads 👍
Only issue was with tec bike parts I had a damaged header which they replaced but it was quite a but of a faffle with the whole deal but the pipes are reasonable quality and they sound fantastic. I will be uploading a video sometime in the next few months when I get around to it.
awesome, look forward to seeing it
@@nicksepisode good work so far.
Have you seen on hitchcock they do a fuel plug in for euro 5 with open exhaust. There currently out of stock but I probably be getting that sometime soon as they do work well for these. Only one way to find out 😁
@@nicksepisode and main thing have you noticed the weight difference. Feels so much better without them hefty stock pipes
@@buster8847 I'm definitely getting that, it wasn't there when I ordered my exhaust
@@buster8847 oh definitely
You made that look simple!
Any idea on how much mass you have trimmed off with this mod?
Easy 25kg
@@nicksepisode Thanks. That's unbelievable!
Good video. Thanks!
Great video mate,,,,,thankyou.
You're welcome
Great video mate very well explained looks and sounds so much nicer mate. Gives her a great burble
Cheers
Hi Nick and Jodie, Im curious, after doing all this great work on the int, and changing to the KTM, GS, and now contemplating changing again, is the int something you miss or consider buying again? thanks for the fab videos
RE need to bring an inty out with the alloy wheels but give us better colour options, i was not a fan of the 2 variation they come out with, but loved the changes
Hi Nick how much weight did that reduce ?
23kg, yes 23!
amazing video
Glad you think so!
Will it not burn the clutch cable?
Can do. You need to place the zip tie strategically
Baffles out?
Haven't tried it
Looks are ok but I prefer the sound of the original. Don't get offended but in the 60s we'd describe the new ones sound as a F*** in a drainpipe.:-) All down to personal taste I suppose.
I'm deeply offended. What I do with drain pipes in my spare time is up to me. 🙃
is it legal to drive in Italy with that one ?
Im not sure. It doesnt sound too offensive though
same as mine Nick and Jodie , send me a link and I´ll send a pic with Stingwe and the new footrests , think you´ll like it
hey bud, bike now sold, nothing wrong with it, other reasons
Did you get any more Tourques? it looks faster.
Most definitely feels it
@@nicksepisode it's good looking, looks well built.
Uffff i like it sound sooooo gooood
How can we get these exhaust in India ?
Message info@tecbikeparts.com
did anyone get a check engine light?
I didn't
Thanks for making a really easy to do video Nick, Silly question mate what Grease did you use? Can you use vasoline? Them pipes look really good & sound awesome 👍
Vasoline will be fine 🙂 thanks for watching
Hooligan 😂. Sounds sweet.
🤣
Looks nice but I think a twin looks Unbalanced & Naked on one side without the other pipe
absolutely
Original pipes and exhaust system looks far superior. The 2 into 1 system looks, quite frankly, a bit tatty. Sound coming from the original system was perfect. All in all a waste of both time and money when there was nothing wrong with the OEM kit. What do other viewers think?
Fair point, subject to ones taste though. I like both designs. It's the weight of the stock system that mainly caused me to swap it out
Paul have you stopped crying yet ?
