Yeah, part of the reason I bought my Conti is you have to ride it, it’s not like sitting on a lazy boy, it is a little dangerous, the brakes are just adequate and the handling is heavy. I love it.

Paint logo on engine casings bro you could do a video.I love the look on my bike since I painted it & I just used Black caliper paint & was OCD about the masking so their was less sanding.I always get compliments about logo's one 81yr old man looked at it for 5mins & he thought it was a original custom build but I told HIM it was new.He owned one back in the 60s & said if I was younger & I said it's still not to late I've seen a few 80 somethings still riding.

I’ve already bought a Himalayan and it’s the perfect every day and every weather bike. But wanted to have a second bike… . I’m thinking of the GT or the Classic 350. it’s a very tough decision to make 🤪
Cheers bro! Ive got the himalayan GT combo and i love the best of both worlds the 350 and himalayan are too similar in power i find so the 650 covers my speedy side and the himalayan covers my relaxed side 😄

I hope they have tuned Engine well and no/less handle vibration which was a signature problem in older RE models like Bullet, Classic, Thunderbird.

@@rafioo7jb One of the things that one CONSISTENTLY encounters when people review this engine IS its smoothness, and its LACK of felt vibration. If the blinkers are budget, the engine design is NOT.
It is of RECENT, British design, and the FRAME was developed by Harris Performance in the UK, which RE has purchased, I believe, because the company's new head probably KNEW that at least certain things needed modernization, thus the ABS, etc. It's made to look-like an old, vintage bike, but it is smooth-running, and, of course, it's fuel-injected, which saves headaches, right-there.
I just ordered some old skool looking pea shooter exhaust pipes. Love that look and I'm sure I'll lose the baffles. See how long it takes to come from India. I got time, still 2 months of Winter left in the North Hemisphere. Enjoying your videos in the meantime. 👍

...that would be 190 under controlled conditions on a closed race track Your Honor. Agree Vinny. By the way does anybody else wish RE had screw down steering dampers like old bikes. Nice firm steering in slow moving city traffic, no wobbles, and less flighty in corners.

Sun in my eyes,throttle stuck,nice bike good road officer these excuses never worked for me. But one of my buddies was doing about warp 8 on his old nine and got pulled over and when asked if he had an excuse for speeding said his wife was having a baby...... 9 months after he got home. The cop started laughing said that was the first time he'd heard that excuse and did not book him. See they do have a sense of humor. True story.

I love old cars, and especially Peugeot, these cars were incredibly reliable, much more so than today's cars. I gave my 306 to my son, he still drives it (I don't know the mileage though) and switched to a 20 year old Peugeot 406 HDi coupé. A friend of mine has the same, his mileage is 800 000 km !
(BTW, I'm here because I just got my motorbike license and I'm still hesitating for my first bike between the Continental and the SuperMeteor. Or maybe an Indian Scout)

Royal Enfield manufacturers each bike keeping enthusiasts and affordability in mind, they also have big Trucking business with the name of Eicher in India...
Now I highly recommend to watch their factory manufacturing videos,, these Beautiful machines are hand assembled not by robots...
That's the reason they still hold that biking soul ..
N I agree these are not fast bikes but in era of robots it's preety cool to have something handmade and man-made..

awesome is that a stock touring seat or extra/new, also did it come with a cowl? it looks like you can attach it to that seat? thinking that would be a better option than the single seat ( for a pillion option). cheers from AUS

how does it feel after a long ride/ do you reckon you would tour on it?
I have done a few big rides on it and the bike goes really well i dont feel too bad apart from a sore bum as the same on all bikes i find the riding position sporty but not too agressive and its fine for longer rides!

By installing powertronic ( ecu ) you can hit 190+ on this bike .
Vinny already has hit 190kmh & that was only with the TEC 2-1.Watch the Journey up the Mountain video he passes me & I was doing 130 & I tried to go with HIM & I was going 165kmh & he was pulling away & on video you see his speedo hit 180kmh & this was at 500meters above sea level too.
If HE added Powertronic or Power Commander he would easily brake 200kmh with the TEC 2-1 or even a 2-2 headers get you close their is not that much difference only 1hp & 3Nm but 2-1 is 3kg lighter so performance is better but a Lithium battery will drop 3kg & 2-2 headers be similar as long as the 2-1 bike doesn't get a lithium battery.

Fair enough mate the meteor is a great bike! Cant go wrong! Looks awesome and super practical
260km per tank easy bro & 300km at speed limit on 650 but I would recommend leaving at least a 1/4 to 1/3 of a tank.Meteor capable of cruising at 105-112kmh & Hitchcocks just put one on Dyno & it did 75mph.

@@MrSoggycat Here in NZ 🇳🇿 fuel is $2.50 for 91unleaded the shit stuff & $2.65 a liter for 95 unleaded the medium stuff & $2.80 for 98 unleaded the good stuff that I use in my bike so it's expensive all right.I use 91 cheap stuff in my cars.I think petrol is dear everywhere but considering exchange rate $2us is expensive that's about $3nz

Yup very keen on that but its fast enough for now and im planning on getting a himalayan as a second bike so saving my money for that if i do the capacity increase it will be when i have alot more money to spend

I am a beginner and currently planning to buy my first bike, is the gt650 a good beginner bike?, i know it's heavy and trust me not i am really interested in rash driving
Its perfect for a beginner very easy to ride and as long as youre not too short the bike wont feel that heavy im 5'9 and it doesnt feel very heavy at all its also very stable and planted on the road!
Is it comfortable for long rides?
Yup its pretty good ive done over 4 hours on it with not too much worry

@@julianperry5141a Yeah I went for a super short ride of 15km & had only been home 5-10mins when phone notified me.Got to keep battery optimal but no more riding until Wednesday got a ride 80km to get tyre's & oil change.Did you enjoy your ride bro,big one no doubt.
@@ruahinesrider went down through Rotorua lakes. Rode past Rotoiti, Rotoma and Rotoehu. It's a nice ride, stopped for a coffee at Okere falls. Couple off hundred km's.

Not for the price its not, yes its a better bike but i dunno if i can justify the extra 10-12k for a bike that does all the same things a bit better and quicker my gt will still do 200kmph and scrape pegs on most corners itd keep up with a thruxton easily if both the riders are equal skill level. Dont get me wrong i love a thruxton! It is a superior bike bike but not for the money and thats where the gt beats it out!

@@EminBastea yup in my country the gt is 10k and thruxton is 22k so over double in mine and almost double in your country. I absolutely love a thruxton and if i had the money i would get one but theres no doubt the gt is better value for money!
