My though was i either get the 4090 after the price drops with the next gen or get the 5090 depending on how much better it performs, but now with the price to performance difference, now the 4080 super is looking like a pretty tasty option as well. but it's also hard to justify holding on to a gtx1080 for so long in a 7950X3D build.

Honestly, the 7900XTX for 900 dollars is a steal. I purchased mine (in Europe so including 19% tax) in January 2023 for almost 1500€. Granted, it was not the reference model but a very nice version by Sapphire (smaller dimensions, more cooling, better performance). And after one year I can confidently say this is a really good card. It works perfectly with all games I played, there are zero driver issues, lots of current titles include FSR frame generation along with DLSS, the card runs at higher hotspot temperature than 4090s but it doesn't affect it in any way. Had I to chose from buying a partner card 7900XTX or a 4080 Super, I'd probably go with team red again since their software is more convenient to use and less prone to errors over Experience. And that's despite also having a 4090 PC. The difference in 3dmark between XTX and 4090 does not really warrant paying more than double.
@@michaelevans483 Its not shipped yet, so I should be a able to cancel the order. Unless they want to unload their stock, and claim they already shipped it. Lol
Why are you lying? The native raster is important, but most gamers need 60+ fps and FG and DLSS are very good at helping to achieve a smooth picture. Of course, we are talking about single-player games because single-player games are the most demanding for video cards.
eRock you continue to grow and its well deserved brother. The breakdown on the 1440 beast 4070 TI-Super vs the 4080-S is going to be THE video to watch! It's also on point that you call out frame generation, it's not a gimmick but pure raster is still king, which is why I think Ray Tracing comparison at 1440p/4K for these cards will be a big highlight on comparison for these GPUs. Looking forward to your breakdown!
I think RT is the future of gaming, at least when it comes to single players games. I just dislike the way they are marketing upscaling and frame gen and how they are trying to force gamers to use these software technologies instead of native raw rendering. Upscaling and frame gen are overrated. Native raw rendering will always be better.

Now youve just spent 1000 dollars so you might as well one up that AGAIN and try and look for an MSRP or as close to it as possible 4090TI
Alternatively if you dont care about RTX really then the used market for a 3090TI is probably the best and cheaper deal.
The prices are ridiculous. These cards actually are 100% overpriced to what their model numbers say - and because of the insane prices most people seem to already have forgotten that the model numbers since the 4xxx generation are fake for ALL GPUs below the 4090! - a card with about half the performance of a x090 GPU is not a x070 GPU, but somewhere between a x050ti and a x060.
Hopefully somehow Nvidia will force with those prices AMD to put lower prices on their cards.I am a Nvidia user but hopefully AMD will drop prices and it will be a beneficial for those who like to choose AMD.
i like this amd wil be force to lower prices and or release a refresh with lower prices
Nvidia got us mindfcked by launching GPU cards at a very greedy high price point. now they lowered their prices for their Super or TI models and lower their prices and us consumers think we got a great deal. lol 😂💀
didplay port is still 1.4 . They didnt chage their attitiude . Its like givig a begger a high end kfc pizza and sntching it . When tht begger cries give him some cheap pizza. so Go for amd 7800xt
Still horrendously overpriced... Some blame also needs to go to gamers for buying from scalpers during the mining craze.
Prices are an absolute joke here in the UK:
£579 ($736) for the 4070 Super, £769 ($978) for the 4070 Ti Super, £959 ($1,220) for the 4080 Super.
Definitely sticking with my 3060 Ti. Still a really good card for 1440p and FSR3 frame gen can be modded into some single player games.
Yup £579 is basically £600 and £769 is basically £800 far as I'm concerned. 50 series is likely going to price more people out of "mid" tier. Absolute joke.
here the 4080 super is 1100 euro
The 4070fi super is the sweet spot!
That seems like the GPU people will get.
Grab the get you that 4070ti super. Its prolly the best card at the moment. I agree with you
I guess this doesn't matter to me much since i only play 1080 😅😅
Id really like to see the 4070 ti super vs 4080 super and really see if the $200 would be worth it. I have a 1660 super and it just can't do it anymore in 1080p with these new titles and I don't want to wait for the 50 series
Im in the same boat with a 1060 6gb and i look for something like 4070/4070S but idk, will these newer gpu’s even fit with old motherboard(Z370) and cpu
@atias3840 4070 ti super is an underclocked 4070 ti super while 4080 super is an overclocked 4080 lol its not that hard to understand the difference is gonna 20% at best
@@kev1310 i mean idk what you were saying in the first part but the 4080 super has more CUDA cores so its not just an overclocking
These prices and spec upgrades are s step in the right direction...but compared to historical pricing and specs...Nvidia is STILL selling cut down products for a premium price. AMDs 7600xt follows suit. IF you are willing to overpay, the latest generation does have some nice features. Fingers crossed that AMD and Intel keep improving their offerings, and start challenging Nvidia in the marketplace.
some people just wont be happy
Well this makes sense as to why 4070ti prices went up.
So let me get this straight. 4090 msrp 1500.00 but is selling online and in stores for 2000.00 4080 msrp 1200.00 4080 super that is more performance than the 4080 you believe will be sold for the msrp of 999.00?! 😂 I’m betting this 4080 super will be selling 100.00 to 150.00 more than the 4080 1200.00 price tag!
Yup it's always like this. Resellers always price cards according to their "performance" but never under MSRP, always higher.
@@Antagon666 it’s crazy that what you could almost get entire computer for back in the day only gets you a graphics card!

should i buy the rtx 4070ti super over 4070ti
Yes, same price 15 % more increase 256 bit and 16 gb vram + they say it’s performance is near 4080
I’m currently doing a build and with all this info coming out it’s only making it harder to decide. I can afford to put a 4090 in the thing but it’s hard to justify it with the pricing problem as of late. I wanted to wait till the 50 series comes out but the card I have now is a 1080 and idk if it’s worth waiting who knows how long until the next gen comes out.
4080 super sounds pretty good offer lets just wait until the benchmarks comparing 4080 super against 4090 if its not that much pull the trigger also depends on which resolution are you playing because you have a beast of a cpu
@@DeadRewind I don’t even use a 4k monitor but I want it to be able to handle VR. So honestly for 90% of my gaming needs the base 4080 would do just fine but I want to be able to do flight and racing sims in vr. And it’s also mainly a music production rig which is why I went all out of cpu and ram, which I know also will help boost performance in whatever card I decide on anyway.
@@The_Vinegar_Jim no problem you will be more than fine with 4080 super even with the 4070 ti super. 4090 is for more intense 4k 144hz or 200hz
@@DeadRewind yeah even so it will probably last through the 50 series as far as future proofing and the rest of the rig I’m sure will be future proofed for the gen after the 50 series and by then all I’ll have to pay for is upgrading the gpu. I’m also interested to see how these new super cards will affect the price of the 4090 if it will at all.
WHY CAN’T I PLACE ANY PREORDERS?????
Hey guys. I could use some advice. I’ve had an IMac for about 12 years and I’ve decided to make the sensible switch to PC. I want to build my own to a high spec but the choices in gpu and cpu is a bit overwhelming. I’ve quickly learned there is a bit of a war between Nvidia and AMD and between intel and ryzen. I’d love some suggestions on which graphics card I should go for? I was looking at the 4080 super which is due to be released but is there a comparable one with AMD that would be cheaper? As I said I want a computer that will do high spec gaming effortlessly. I can’t even run Balders Gate 3 on my current IMac so change is necessary.
Depend what region you from, I would go for 7900XTX Sapphire Vapor X preferred because I not care about Ray Tracing and downscale resolution, I play 4k 144hz FPS cap 140. I recommend 7800XT, XT and XTX to friend and they very happy for price because very good cards for price. 7900XTX cheaper Euro than 4080S and money I save I buy 4k 144hz monitor for enjoy high resolution gaming.
RTX 4070 review please.
the supers look sick with the all black stealth look
I have a 2060 Super, and I am inclined to boost my PC with a 4070 TI Super, but still not sure since there are now reviews out there.
Nice balanced take.
I am upgrading from a 5700xt. I really am torn between the 4070 ti super and the 4080 super. I currently have the AW3423DWF monitor. I plan to upgrade every 2/3 years. I just want to play at full resolution natively.
Great! You think a GPU with the relative performance of a 060 but the label claiming it was a 080 at the price of a dual GPU 090 was a BARGAIN?
Grats, nvidia successfully brainwashed you!
My gtx 1060 6gb cant keep up with these newer titles anymore, the supers look like not a “bad” deal i will either get 4070 after a price drop or 4070 super, these cards and 12 vram is very good, and a new 2k monitor
Would people really use NVIDIA’s marketing to make a purchasing decision and not look at real reviews?
Edit: Yes, I can answer my own question. Some people would be fooled by that.
I am coming into the market from 1060 mobile laptop. guys should I go for the 4070 ti super or 4080 super ?
I must have missed the name change. I like it though. I’ve still got some time left on my 7800 xt return. That 4070S might be calling my name depending on how it reviews. I’m not sure yet.
Wait, prove me wrong here, I thought the 4070 super had the biggest performance difference based on some leaks I hear a while back, is that correct or not?
hey man. i have a gtx 1650. should i ubgrade to a 4060?
What are you talking about? 4090 been in stock on Best Buy regularly the past couple weeks for retail
Still running the 2060 Super looking forward to upgrading to the 4070 Ti Super.
Fake frames doesnt count
I'm glad to be wrong about them keeping the prices high... but these prices are still too high. I guess it doesn't really matter to me personally, I'm more interested in AMD's response, if any.
So it’s ok for Amd to price $800 $1000 for a gpu with less rasto and features right?
@@504NO Like... I'm not sure who you're asking here... and maybe you ought to take a look at the fact that the 80 super is $1000? What're you even on about? You realize the stats mean that the XTX will *still* outperform the 80 super across the board?
They're both corporations. I prefer to get ripped off less, and you mouth breathers keep saying "features" like the point of the GPU isn't rasterization. Give me a break.
@@504NO In case you think I didn't answer your question, it's okay for either company to price at whatever they want and name it whatever they want. It's also okay to say the 40 series is a joke except for the 90, where AMD is only slightly less disappointing.
If I were inclined to help gamers... who are most of my living... I advise them to buy low and midrange AMD cards, which get them a lot more rasterization for cheaper prices. Throwing in a random ARC a770 16gb for the adventurous souls.
Might upgrade my 3060 Ti to a 4070 Super
prices are fine now. if its too cheap scalpers will just buy them up again🙄
was just about to buy a new build with 4070ti, i think ill hold out and see what the 4070tiS and 4080S is like, dont mind paying £200 more if its worth it? thoughts?
I’m thinking the same thing. Just waiting to see how much a difference it will be. Hopefully they won’t be hard to get hands on.
I agree with your take on 4070ti super, please review that card
I’m interested in the 4070 super for super small builds and want to know how much performance you get and how much power/heat it uses
This prices will be only on paper and for few lucky ones which will bought founders edition and then prices will be 1200+$ !!peoples forget that stores are overwhelmed with normal rtx 4080 at 1200$ and i think that amazon, Newegg and other would not slash price overnight for 50% then just raise price of super cards
Availability on these will be super light, and NVIDIA will offer some behind the scenes credit type deal to the AIB / Distributors to support discounting and clearing inventory. Once the old discontinued stuff is firesaled off, then these will start to get availability.
that is problem ,once when old will firesaled off and that will not be so soon because there is on tens of thousands expensive rtx 4080,4070/ti still on market and i think that stores would not sell them at half of price, they never did @@spacechannelfiver
very helpful content, would you be able to review a laptop cooling pad?
Been wanting an amd card. Am hoping this brings their prices down
I have a 2080 super what should i upgrade to?
Buy and review the 4070 ti Super.
Its not out yet, so how would that happen?
A man speaks with sense. I like it.
Dont understand how anyone even cares. These prices are still dumb as shit
Ugh, not first this time! Love seeing these alerts from you more consistently. Keep it up brother 💪
I'm so sick of them pushing frame gen in a not like for like comparison. It's hit or miss for me, depending on the game. I hope people will go by third-party reviews cause Nvidia's marketing is very deceptive.
i have a 4070 already, but tbh, i want that extra performance, i know deals will eventually come so i'll wait until i find a 4070 Super for the same price i got my 4070. under 450.
or just get the 4070 ti super or 4080 super . tbh not worth it to go 4070 to 4070 super
Lmao why bother? You'll lose money selling it only to gain 15% more performance. You'd be better off waiting for a sale of the 4070 ti super. At least that's a proper upgrade with the extra ram
like i said, imma wait on the deals like how i got my 4070 for under 450 USD 4 months ago. i'm not gonna buy day one, it's an upgrade i'll eventually make, but not rn and if i find a 4070 ti, even better, but when the deals come.@@PCgamingbenchmarktime
@@DeadlyKiller54just wait year for new generation, dont waste money now...
But they're not
We are about to find out if msrp will be the price of these cards or not! I’ll believe it when I see it!
Crap, I ordered a RTX 4070 TI - should i cancel my order? And wait for the RTX 4070 TI Super?
I have a RTX 2070 Super now.
It’s literally going to be the same price, yes obviously cancel your order
@@michaelevans483 Its not shipped yet, so I should be a able to cancel the order. Unless they want to unload their stock, and claim they already shipped it. Lol
Of course cancel lol
4gb more vram and ~10% more speed for same money. What is that for a question
