Hello my wife found your channel several months ago. She loved to cook until she had a stroke December of 2020. Since the stroke she has struggled with some things like speech and memory. She lost the interest of cooking until she found your channel. You have inspired her to cook again with my help. Thank you from us and my taste buds. 😋 😊
Mandy, you could leave A small baggie of shredded cheese in the fridge (for gracy). That way you always have some for her! Just thinking of the baby. God Bless all
I know, right? That poor kitty. We should start a GoFund page for Gracie Cheese!”
You don’t heat the skillet before you put the cornbread in???? I thought every southerner did that. You should try it, it gives a nice crust, better flavor and helps to not stick
Got to heat the skillet
Mandy, I agree...NO sugar in cornbread.
I'm a definite sugar in cornbread, and eat it with butter and honey!
I agree NO SUGAR in cornbread! Iron skillet all the way! Love y'all!
I'm southern all the way. I think sweet cornbread is awful. If I want cake, I'll bake one. Iron skillet all the way!
Been watching your videos so much, that every time Gracie Lou meows at you, I automatically say, “ma’am” ❤
I agree. No sugar in cornbread! lol Great video! Thanks for sharing!
Mandy, I'm a "no beans in my chili" eater, however I agree with the Commontater, if it has beans, they have to be pintos! And I'm a southern girl also and there is NO sugar in my cornbread. My Mom always said that sugar in cornbread was a "northern thing" kind of like putting sugar in your grits😊
I was born and raised in Michigan, and have lived in Ohio for 37 years! It's true, we Northeners do put sugar in our cornbread! I put sugar in my chili and my grits, as well! I like grits to taste like cream of wheat!
You two are awesome. As much as I love watching the recipes, I enjoy watching you two just as much. Stephen is a laugh a minute. Thanks for the inspiration xx
I'm a Yankee. We put sugar in our corn bread, call it Jonny Cake, and serve it with butter and maple syrup. And we would never put sugar in ice tea. Let's face it, coffee is our preferred beverage anyway. Love your videos, and I will try your southern style corn bread.
If you can find the Rotel with Lime it’s a game changer in soups and chili !
or maybe just squeeze a little lime to the rotel??
I used to make the chili at Wendy's, they put their hamburgers that aren't selling immediately into a pan of water filling the pan until the next day's batch of chili. Get some of their gold chili seasoning packets and put them in your bowl, it's really good and they put alot in the pan.
@@Spoke76 if I remember correctly it is hamburger, canned diced tomatoes, minced onion, chili beans and tomato sauce. Plus the seasoning and chili powder. I was 16 when I worked there the first time and I'm almost 60 now.
@@lorilxn1597 Thank you!
@@Spoke76 you're welcome
I'm one of those Texas chili purists. No beans and no tomatoes in the chili. But, I also love Tex-Mex chili which does add tomatoes. I will serve beans on the side if someone wants to them. I agree there is nothing to compare with good butter milk cornbread with chili 😋❤
I can’t wait for the temp drop this weekend I’m going to make at least one of these 👌🏼 Thanks for these y’all.
Chili time!!!!!❤
That's what I'm talking about!!!!
Im sure your cornbread is perfection on its own. But im going to share this anyway because my family loves it. After i pull my cornbread out of the oven I butter the top and drizzle with just a tiny bit of honey and spread that all over the top. They love the combination of the sweet with the spicy chili
Sounds good. I will have to try.
Darn I was hoping you'd show the Skillet Biscuit too! LOL
Since the kids have moved out, I have worked to cut back my menus to make it for 2. Chili is the exception as my husband and I both love our chili. Blessings!
Mandy I don’t put sugar in my corn bread either. I have made cornbread dumplings and topped my chili with that, very good!
That sounds amazing! How do you make the cornbread dumplings? I would love to try making them.
@@squisitissima2810I found it on Pinterest! DUMPLINGS
2 large eggs
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
3 tablespoons whole milk
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup fine yellow cornmeal, fine
2 teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese. It was a slow cooker chili in the last couple hours take an ice cream scoop and scoop the dumplings on top and continue cooking. I did leave the sugar out.
If there's sugar in cornbread it's dessert! And I have to say Mandy, I'd make just about anything you show, but I ain't making any cornbread but my mama's!!!
I do a corney corn bread with chili. 2 boxes Jiffy corn bread, 2 cans each of cream and whole kernel corn and 4 eggs. Bake per box directions. It’s a great addition to chili having the corn in it.
Interesting, never heard of that. Will have to try.
I agree with no beans in my chili. I'm from Texas and was raised by Texans. But if you have to put beans in the only ones to use are pintos. Thank you for this video that reminded me it was time for chili because the temperature sure isn't.
I'm so excited to try the white chicken chili! I'm going to make it for my Bible Study ladies on Tuesday, and one of them is a subscriber, too, so we're always talking about the latest recipe! 😀
I ❤chili and have tried lots of variations…one tip I have to give your chili a touch of sweetness without using brown sugar is to add in a can of tomato soup. It gives you the tomato flavor and slight sweetness without being too much. Love watching you both and always great meal ideas! 💕
Chili...mmmm....I have some on the stove right now. Smelling good. Thanks for sharing the different kinds.
Try Milwaukee's classic award-winning George Webb Chili recipe that can easily be found online. It is still served at George Webb restaurants. Just cut it down to one/third for 1 lb of ground beef to make 6 servings. I tweak it by leaving out the Accent and the spaghetti and change the choice of beans sometimes. Then I add onion and garlic powder, a bay leaf, some cumin plus a 14.5 oz can of petite diced tomatoes.
Never seen a four legged furry buzzard until following your channel. The cat cracks me up.
Chili is great any time of the year. In an effort to add more vegetables to my diet, I added diced carrots to my chili. They fit right in! Much better than corn.
Ooh, I'm going to try that!!
Given how Steven feels about cream cheese and that he deemed the white chicken chili his favorite, we are going to have to try this one out. Love that cornbread recipe, my grandma couldn't use crisco but used bacon grease in hers but I think she would approve of us eating it in that cornbread. ❤ God bless you all ❤
Pinto beans are a creamy feel
I’ve never had corn bread but a lot of people obviously love it (guessing my mom didn’t like it 😂) really looking forward to trying these + thank you.
I usually put a little bacon grease in my cast iron skillet and get it smoky hot before I add my batter. Also, I can't stand sweet cornbread.
I love the White Chicken Chili. I have made it soo many times. I use my crockpot and canned beans .YUM
I love how you have a video with the same meal ideas different ways. So great! Thank you!
We love all types of chili, but I have to agree, pinto beans - YUM! They do make the best chili!! These are some fabulous chili recipes and we will have to give Grandma's cornbread recipe a whirl. Great vid Mandy. 🍅🌽🍞❤
Loved all of these
I use instant pot for chilli and soups. We eat our main meal at noon. I cook up a bunch of ground beef and sausage and freeze. Makes easy to grab of cooked meat into instant pot. Chilli and soups done in 35 mins.
Yum! 😋
I have subscribed. I enjoy your presentation, your hubby's comments, your son's thumbs, and last but not least, Gracie's begging. The 2 chilis I will try is the Southwest Tex Mex since I'm in Texas, and the Killer White Chicken. I will add a can of Hatch Green Chilis to both recipes. My korn bread is made in an old cast iron that has 6 corn shaped pieces. The reason is it has more crust and that's the best part of korn bread.
thank you. made chicken chili. yummy. first bowl added cooked noodles. second added cooked rice. third bowl added left over mac and cheese. all great.
I can't wait to try all five of these chili recipes! Perfect for cozying up on chilly autumn evenings.
I see I’m about to make another trip to the grocery store because I don’t have everything I need, and now I’m determined to make chili tomorrow.😂
They all look delicious!
I love chili! I will be trying all of these chili recipes this fall and winter. Thank you, Mandy.
Enjoyed watching all the chili recipes ❤️
Again thanks for the great recipes. Going to give them a try. ❤❤❤❤
I always grease my cast iron pan and then put it in the hot oven to preheat, add cornbread mixture to screaming hot pan and cook and cook till done. Have done this for over 25 years, everyone loves it.
Yall are the best!
thanx for always being the taste testers , have a great day
I love chilli. I can't wait to see the favorite recipe. Love your channel Mandy

I have 6 🐈⬛ kitties and one giant puppy! The cats sit on my kitchen table to eat and share my meals! I live by myself so I don’t care if they join me! The goofy dog rests her chin on my leg and get treats too. We’re a big happy family that love your videos!

I agree with you on the beans and this cornbread is the bomb!
One trick with the crust on cornbread...we preheat our cast iron skillet in the oven then pour the batter into the hot pan. It makes a very nice crust
❤❤❤awesome recipes💕💕💕
Thank Heaven you verified that sugar has NO place in cornbread!!! ❤Thank you!!
My mouth is drooling with all your chilli's yum
Omg! That’s what I do with Wendy’s chili. Put it on top of my baked potato. Yummy. These all look delicious. Can’t decide which one to make. Thanks Mandy 🙏🇨🇦
I love Wendy chilli I am for sure going to try these recipes for chilli
They all sound delicious
Just made the Killer White Chicken Chili- so gooood! Ty for sharing:)
The Killer White Chili was awesome!
My Momma always made real cornbread too. Her recipe was very similar to Steven's grandmother's recipe(although we have never measured the ingredients; we learned to make by watching her make it by, by "sight").
I love chili,yummy, thanks for sharing these,👍❤️👍❤️👍
They all look great but I can't wait to try the Killer White Chicken Chili! Thanks Mandy!
I love chili anytime of the year. It doesn't have to be cool weather. I like kidney beans in chili, but I also like other beans as well. I have never had chirozo before, so I'm looking forward to trying that recipe.
Awesome video. Looks all so delicious. I love chili❤
Great recipes Mandy, thanks for sharing. I love Chili in the Fall, especially on a cold rainy day. I have a favorite Chili recipe, but I may have to try one of these. I cook mine in the crock pot all day, like8 8 hours. It was a favorite when I was still working. Sunday, I am making your Crock Pot Taco Hashbrown Casserole. This weekend we are expected to have our first cool weekend in SE MI.
I am going to try the killer chili! And the corn bread! Love corn bread and can't wait to try your generation recipe! So amazing to still have her pan. That's an amazing thing to have! You are so blessed! So many memories came out of that pan!
I adore white chicken chili!
We love chili and cornbread when the weather cools down have a lovely weekend pretty lady 😀
I’m simmering my chili, cornbread in the oven and thought I’d catch up on Mandy. Surprise!!
That exactly how I make my chili. WOW, can hardly wait to eat it.
Great recipes! I LOVE KIDNEY beans in my chili. Thanks for sharing!
Mandy I haven’t watched this video yet (about too) but just by the title I’m super excited!
I love chili.making it tomorrow
I'm so glad you made this video bc I'm so I'm the mood for chili even though it's still very warm here in Philly.
Thank you for these chili recipes! Love the Southwest Tex Mex chili ( today I am making it a second time, my fav chili to date). The Killer White Chicken was a hit as well!
You guys ae awesome!
Those all looked scrumptious, I must say. I'm a great lover of chili, and make it year round.
The Killer White Chicken Chili looks really good. I think I'll try it for our Sunday potluck at the end of the month. Chili is on the menu.
Finally some fall weather, added that white chicken chili to the grocery list for next week!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Killer White Chicken Chili. Found some I had frozen last week and it was still delicious.
Oh my goodness Mandy and Steven, we do not eat a lot of chili so I waited to watch. Why I waited so long I do not know as you both make me smile through your video. I love the way you explain things Mandy and the music is perfect. God Bless your family until next time ❤️🙏❤️.
I was just saying yesterday I was going to make chili this weekend. Thanks Mandy.
