I get the Peel, but where is the Fiat in it?
@@deepsteep4748 the windows and the overall shape, i think?
Yeah that’s exactly what this car looks like 😂
Vero! a little Fiat multipla!
Just a heads up for all of you in England you still need a provisional license to drive one of these but you can do it at 16 and I believe you need to sit CBT to drive one which is usually around £150, but I may be wrong on that front but I'm certain on the fact you need your provisional and you can drive them at 16 alongside mopeds
Can agree with you about living in Coventry. Even though I'm just outside of Coventry city, it's still a hellhole that I don't really like very much
Try moving to Nuneaton then!
Finally, a car that suits Alex’s physique
The fact you didn't flip it when you did the J turn is just testimony to how planted that little thing is
The batteries are in the floor just like most modern electric cars have because you need plenty of space to drop the batteries in.
@@TheRealFobican Im aware, it's just so odd due to how narrow the car's width is.
@@TheRealFobican the Centre of gravity is soo low to the ground its nigh impossible to flip it by sheer bad driving alone... getting T-Boned tho.. well that's another question altogether
@@BronyumHexofloride Lol easily possible to flip this thing. There is a video of an ami getting flipped in Monaco just by taking a corner to fast (the hairpin of the F1 circuit)
I like that if you had a head-on collision the crumple zone is where the steering wheel is
Someone has woke up one morning and said: I have an idea, let’s put some wheels on portable bog and sell it as a vehicle.
Had they used the Ami in the "Italian Job" the movie would have been 6 hours LONGER!
The bad guys would've caught them 😂
the battery cannot stay 6 hour long...
The escape through the tunnels was filmed in Stoke Aldermoor in October 1968.
This is an update of the classic Citroen cv6. I only wish it had both suicide doors! 😭
I’m with NSB, it would have been shorter because the gold would have weighed so much they’d have not even moved, let alone get away!
Imagine if someone actually swaps a tesla motor in that thing? Absolute Death trap!!
in this, just changing/hacking the motor controller will already do enough.
it is electronically limited to 6kW continuous.
@@daszieher how far can it be pushed reliably though? one of these 20hp would be an absolute laugh
@@HeavyMetalorRockfan9 motors rated for 5kW continuous can often be overstressed to 20kW easy. The weakest part is usually the controller, because its costs scale with power. So usually it'll barely put out what it says on the box.
Electric motors themselves are usually over-engineered, especially if they are not permanent magnet type. They'll die of heat, eventually.
do it for science
haha aerodynamics go brrr
Parking in the trolley park is priceless!!! I was dyyying!
At last a review that takes into account what is was build for.
if you could buy one in the red and yellow little tikes colour combo, I'd buy it no questions asked.

I'm sure Citroën are thrilled with their new cars title!!
@Zachary LeSauvage "the posh wank of cars" ha!
As someone from Coventry, all I'll say is that it's a city only a mother could love
We need more TV and online ads for microcars. 😂
But as fancy as the ads for big cars, especially SUVs 😂
Everything in this episode reminded me of the old Top Gear.
My mums first car was a Citroen Ami, funny enough also the first car I crashed at the age of 4. But it looked different to this one.
4? You mean 14?
It's limited to 45km/h because in France anything that can be driven without a proper driving license has to be limited to 45km/h, and thus can be driven at 14, just like the regular 50cc bikes, they did this to sell it to everyone and in French cities most of the speed limit are at 50km/h or less (very often less in big cities)
Imagine having a hefty passenger and you have just lost 20% of your power to weight ratio. All of the sudden you cant go up hills.
It's very reminiscent of those 70's electric city cars that sprouted up during the oil crisis in the US
Literally just noticed the “metallic” logo is just an eye trick
Yes ,they ware to cheap to even put a normal logo. I bet Citroen will state that is to save weight, however considering the build "quality" , that wont stand. They littely just made 1 of several parts and run with it -1 front panel , so the car looks the same front and back ; 1 door ,so they had to reverse it on the driver's side ..... That is litteraly the most cheaplly made plastic car that i've ever seen.
@@mowtow90 you say that like it's a bad thing? The whole point of the car is that it's as cheap and simple as possible

Glad to see it didn't fall over in the handbrake turn !
On Coventry Ring Road, as per the the road signs, keep to the right hand lane unless coming off at the next junction. Otherwise you get in the way of cars joining 3:55.
on their last podcast they had a good moan at a guy in a Honda that gave them the bird on the ring road and they called him a bell end. after watching this video it is clear that he was he was only trying to tell you that you were driving in the wrong lane. and Alex claims to have lived in Coventry but he clearly never learnt how to drive on the ring road
You can’t blame him as most people in Coventry don’t know how to drive the ring road
@@kallumnorman9825 that is true but they had a right pop at the guy in a civic and it turns out they were the ones in the wrong. the guy that aggressively shot across two lanes was only trying to get into the correct lane but his was access was blocked by a bell end driving in the wrong lane
Alex said that he doesn't care, he's a petrol-head and petrol-heads do not care about other road users.
"It's raining. Actually, it's not raining, but picture the scene" - How in the world did you NOT get a raining scene in great britain? :-) Did you have to do all the filming on the one day that it doesn't rain over there? :-p
People say it always rains in Britian. That's because they want it to be sunny. Really, the weather is always the opposite of what you want.

to be fair i do kinda like the nod to the older citroens with the head light indents... it's quite nice.
