Not a mindless beast, a corrupted demi-god, or a faithless cur, we stand before Godfrey, the man who tamed the world through strength and his unbreakable will, we stand before Hoarah Loux, WARRIOR!
Th fact that he didn't become a mindless monster when Marika disgraced him and made him the first Tarnished really speaks volumes for Godfrey's will. He didn't fall to darkness or become enraged. Instead, he made a new life for himself as Hoarah Loux and came back countless years later when the Site of Grace came back to him... when the Greater Will finally needed a puppet again... but he wouldn't be made one again. Godrick sadly peaks with his dragon arm momentarily, just before we cut him down. I really like Godrick myself, and it is bit dissapointing that we can´t interact with him and other Shardbearers nearly as much as we do with Ranni.
First time fighting this guy while Elden ring being my first souls game, he was genuinely fun to go against. - Isn't cheesy like Malekith or the Duo - Commends you not once, but twice, and sees you as someone who is worth exerting effort on. - You can fight him head on so as long as you can manage your stamina to dodge and attack. - Is a normal human, Tarnished, who's just built different. Overall he's probably the most fun bosses you can go toe-to-toe with in Elden Ring.
I would not say he's entirely not cheesy. That AoE spam is REALLY annoying and ruins what is otherwise an awesome and challenging fight. He didn't do it so much, it would be a much better fight, but he seems to do it almost CONSTANTLY once you get him down to 70% health, and the worst part is that it covers THE ENTIRE ARENA. Otherwise, I really like his character and fight.
Marika: "Babe come over" Godfrey: "I can't, you kinda took away my grace and banished my entire people" Marika: "The next Elden Lord candidate has arrived and you're about to get NTR'd" Godfrey:
This! The first phase was soo epic and the great axe moves, the lion on the shoulder omg all is perfect. the second is cool but I prefer a classic warrior lord than a brawler giant xD
This song is like a dance. It has the rhythm and pulse of a kind of warrior’s waltz, and the fight between us and Godfrey in his first phase really feels dance-like. Then he casts all the pleasantries aside to throw mad hands at us.
What i like about this fight is that Godfrey faces you at the last possible moment in your journey. Cut dialogue seems to imply he was onto Marika's plan to break the elden ring, so if he is truly in support of the golden order is up for debate. But we do know one thing he wants more than anything is a worthy opponent to fight. So he waits right before the end of our quest where we will be at our strongest. And when he is defeated, he congratulates us and says we're worthy of becoming lord.
I imagine the crucible knights being yeeted out from the capital by Godfrey after they fail to do the stomp "Thou shall learn again in thy next age! *Yeet*"
Watching the cutscene is a necessity for me specifically for 0:08 because the chorus goes silent, while the instruments create some build up and when the dark screen finishes loading godfrey attacks and the chorus comes back again.
Of all the Demi-gods, the one that’s a “true” warrior is simply just a man. a REAL man with a strength build. Instead of powering up and going crazy like the others, he tosses the armor off and goes ham. “AND ITS HOARAH LOUX WITH A STEEL CHAIR!!”
Jokes aside his line of "A crown is warranted with strength" is really inspirational for me. I always knew that I would only reach my goals in life by gaining not physical strength but strength of character. The strength to persevere and not give up on ones's dream, I really treasure that thought. After all... In the days of old a crown was warranted with strength
Godfrey just gives me gym vibes. Is too funny to watch him literally lifting the ground, causing immense shockwaves and using that huge axe like it's lighter than a toothpick
weird concept i thought of is that you and him go take on radagon and the elden beast but after the battle you fight each other to see who really becomes elden lord. tbf though the concept id pretty flawed in some manners but i think itd be cool to fight with godfrey.

I have fought every boss in every souls game except sekiro (and tbh, I don’t count sekiro as a souls game, it’s quite it’s seperate thing imo) And this guy is top 5 material quite easily. And that for a base game boss is absolutely immaculate 🫶 His voicelines, the entire fight (I slightly preferred the order, yet continuous pressure in phase 1 vs the chaotic pressure in phase 2), the OST, the ambience, everything just WORKS. If only it wasn’t followed up with the lackluster elden beast. Don’t get me wrong, elden beast is still pretty solid. But compared to Radagon & Chadfrey, Elden Beast just feels disappointing 😭
Best boss in the entire game, no fancy, anime-shit type of moves like Malenia or Maliketh, just a absolute chad with a giant axe, the fight itself is well telegraphed and gives you many openings for punishment, classic souls boss formula
no you are far from right but today everyone seems to play either op or summon so who is a guy with longsword trying to get trough these bs aoe combo chains :p

@@JuanRodriguez-vd1bg I’m a staunch fan of Godrick. Say what you will, yes he was a depraved old fool, but his admiration for Godfrey and Godwyn is 100% justified and totally admirable, even for someone like Godrick
@@loneshinobi2682 Game lampshades with Giant Crusher that modern generation of humans in Lands Between have turned on each other, and consequently have become much weaker than the ancient men like Godfrey.
So Godrick fits this idea perfectly, feeble son trying to live up to legacy of his legendary forbears and not taken seriously by other people, even Kenneth talking behind his back.
- Isn't cheesy like Malekith or the Duo
- Commends you not once, but twice, and sees you as someone who is worth exerting effort on.
- You can fight him head on so as long as you can manage your stamina to dodge and attack.
- Is a normal human, Tarnished, who's just built different.
Overall he's probably the most fun bosses you can go toe-to-toe with in Elden Ring.
he isn't some anime main character bullshit. he's just a Big Man With A Big Axe and that's all he needs. Hell, he doesn't even need the axe
@@the_furry_inside_your_walls639 I was just jumping near him. Seems like a fair tactic against his AoEs
" Isn't cheesy like Malekith" - in what world is maliketh cheesy?

The First Giga Chad
Why does this mix have so little views?
This phase is so much better then the 2nd AND it's a proper loop
This should have at least 100k views
This! The first phase was soo epic and the great axe moves, the lion on the shoulder omg all is perfect. the second is cool but I prefer a classic warrior lord than a brawler giant xD
@@ViciadorMasivo I love both phases
I love his fight so much
It's the dragon slayer armor ost all over again. With phase 1 being better in the ost, then the 2nd phase.
Phase 2 also based
The buildup, the OST and the presentation of godfrey made me believe he is the final boss in my first playthrough. Wouldn't have been mad about that.
That would literally make no sense because he has nothing to do with the elden ring
ah the perfect music to be grabbed by a lobster to
"never met someone with a taste for prawn I couldn't trust"
Only true hollows will get this
@@simondigruber2111 They make such nice trailers
This song is like a dance. It has the rhythm and pulse of a kind of warrior’s waltz, and the fight between us and Godfrey in his first phase really feels dance-like.
Then he casts all the pleasantries aside to throw mad hands at us.
Nothing like a song for the waltz.. it’s just there to be epic, and epic it is.
One more way Godrick tries to copy Godfrey, his battle music is also a waltz
I like how heroic it sounds. Makes sense since it's Godfrey.
The Vendrick fight we deserved
What i like about this fight is that Godfrey faces you at the last possible moment in your journey. Cut dialogue seems to imply he was onto Marika's plan to break the elden ring, so if he is truly in support of the golden order is up for debate. But we do know one thing he wants more than anything is a worthy opponent to fight. So he waits right before the end of our quest where we will be at our strongest. And when he is defeated, he congratulates us and says we're worthy of becoming lord.
Listen to this at the gym when you're pumping iron. Feel that inner GIGACHAD STRENGTH BUILD.
A true God Of War boss
1:09 "Godfrey! Godfrey!"
Pro kip
Pro tip
But I did think it was Godfrey too at first
Dodging his phase one moves and attacking between almost every swing just to dodge at the last moment made me feel so badass.
Man No wonder the Crucible Knights were formidable they got a Gigachad teacher they probably learned the Stomp the hard way too lol
I imagine the crucible knights being yeeted out from the capital by Godfrey after they fail to do the stomp "Thou shall learn again in thy next age! *Yeet*"
The theme perfectly encapsulates the station of The First Elden Lord
Watching the cutscene is a necessity for me specifically for 0:08 because the chorus goes silent, while the instruments create some build up and when the dark screen finishes loading godfrey attacks and the chorus comes back again.
Of all the Demi-gods, the one that’s a “true” warrior is simply just a man. a REAL man with a strength build. Instead of powering up and going crazy like the others, he tosses the armor off and goes ham. “AND ITS HOARAH LOUX WITH A STEEL CHAIR!!”
Godfrey never skipped leg day, but his subordinates, the Crucible Knights did, and it shows...
An honorable duel between two Tarnished champions.
Sounds like they're chanting Godfrey at one point, and if so thats awesome
Godfrey just gives me gym vibes. Is too funny to watch him literally lifting the ground, causing immense shockwaves and using that huge axe like it's lighter than a toothpick
He's wearing a headband because about to set a PR, on the chosen tarnished's head
weird concept i thought of is that you and him go take on radagon and the elden beast but after the battle you fight each other to see who really becomes elden lord.
tbf though the concept id pretty flawed in some manners but i think itd be cool to fight with godfrey.
0:00 upon my name as Godfrey the first elden lord
This is always what I imagine fighting Gwyn in his prime is like.
Just mix in the occasional sunlight spear and yeah, I’d agree w you
''Loud and hard didst thou fight'' Tarnished Warrior.
Andre's final form has been unleashed. Noone is safe.
Upon my name as Godfrey, the First Elden Lord
I have fought every boss in every souls game except sekiro (and tbh, I don’t count sekiro as a souls game, it’s quite it’s seperate thing imo)
And this guy is top 5 material quite easily. And that for a base game boss is absolutely immaculate 🫶
His voicelines, the entire fight (I slightly preferred the order, yet continuous pressure in phase 1 vs the chaotic pressure in phase 2), the OST, the ambience, everything just WORKS. If only it wasn’t followed up with the lackluster elden beast. Don’t get me wrong, elden beast is still pretty solid. But compared to Radagon & Chadfrey, Elden Beast just feels disappointing 😭
Chadfrey the First GigaChad deserved that full health second phase, instead of rotslut of a brocon Malenia.
Have you ever had to fight for the last parking stall, win, roll down your windows and yell “T’was nobly fought!”?
That's how it feels to drive the Ford F-150
thank you
1:07 to 1:19 made me realize I’m fighting one of the best bosses I’ve ever fought in video games
They really pulled an anime move with this guy having the giant impressive lion actually suppressing his true power. Love it.
almost all bosses in Elden Ring: armament
Hoarah Loux: catch these hands
God this sounds so badass. I learned to dodge a lot of his attacks just so I can stay in phase 1, listening to this. It took me 121 tries to kill him, though. dammit, Hoarah Loux! XD
The vibe of a GIGACHAD
Sounds like an enhanced version of Yhorm's theme
this theme is so fucking good
Play this at my funeral and I'm poppin out that coffin in phase 2 shaking pictures off the wall.
I wish the lion had a much bigger part in the boss fight
If you read through the lore, you'd know the lion was never meant to fight. It is a restriction imposed upon godfrey
@@jonasfadi8213 I meant like maybe it gives Godfrey a temporary buff or it gives you a temporary debuff the only thing it gives is a more intimidating look
@@Archdeacon.Krieg. it does, he uses its power to do his AOE stomps with the white energy (I think)

Rykard, Radahn, Astel, Mohg, Morgott and Fortissax - Mid Game
Fire Giant, Maliketh, Malenia, Placidusax, Godfrey and Radagon/Elden Beast - Late Game
