As a drummer I've always felt I was on an island behind my little, not many see me so hell yeah I'm gonna toss sticks and be flashy!! Also it is a way to give your hands and wrists a break sometimes, Lord knows about halfway through the final set before your day off you are sore and banged up.....so let's have some fun!!! some use it for timing purposes also. Hard to explain unless you're a drummer. Awesome recoveries...I love drummers that have fun playing...after all no matter your level, isn't that why we all play???!?!

Watch the Live in Pompeii version of Pink Floyd's "One of These Days". Nick drops a stick, grabs a new one, and never misses the beat.

I'm actually impressed as fuck that he keeps that beat going. Seems like a cool dude. Favorite one was in the rehearsal room and hit the other bandmate lol

I would call it “Drummer Success”! They dropped a stick and did not miss a beat while grabbing another!
